I've been to this location several times. One of the first times I had a horrible experience because my debit card wouldn't read and so I asked to write a check. The check was denied by their "service". Not for insufficient funds, but because I had never written a check before, so I wasn't in the system. How stupid is that?!? The manager couldn't do a thing even though I could prove I had sufficient funds and the "service" advised him as such. They told me to "try again", but that check was declined as well. I've also had a manager tell me a product was not in stock, but when I went to ask a customer service associate about an alternative, she found the product was in stock. Yay for Tabatha (hope I got the name right)! If it weren't for her on three different occasions now, I probably wouldn't go to this location anymore. I made an appointment with the Geek Squad to look at repairing a TV at my home after a couple of phone calls to get them all the information they required about the TV and a $139.99 charge to my credit card I was able to get an appointment 2 weeks out. They said they would call the day before to confirm a 30 minutes prior the day of. Nobody call and nobody showed up. I stayed home that day expecting their arrival and nothing I called them that evening and they said yes we have your appointment and said someone would be calling you to set up a new appointment. They didn't have an opening for another two weeks but they still charged my credit card account. I cancelled my appointment and was able to get my money credited. Never Again. It's too bad 1 star is as low as you can go. Geek Squad is giving Best Buy a bad name. read more

I went in here to buy a brand new iPhone. As I was browsing no one came to help me. I needed pricing and the differences between phones. Finally I approached the front desk, the guy told me I need an appointment because it takes an hour. When I told him I don't have an hour I just want information- he canceled the person he was talking to to help me, rushed away from me, and I was once again left alone in front of the iPhones. I placed and prepaid for curbside pick up of a laptop charger. I arrived at 6:30 after receiving a text that it was ready. I notified the store I was there and got a confirmation number 4247. I sat at curbside #1 for 15 minutes and there were no other cars waiting and not a lot of customers entering or leaving the store. By 6:45, I finally shut off my engine and walked inside. I waited through the wrong line (checkout) and then went to the "pick up" desk where no one was there. The same guy who greets people went and got my item after I showed him my curbside number on my phone AND HE STILL ASKED TO SEE MY ID). I walked to my car and a car had just parked in curbside pick up #2. It couldn't have been there more than the time I was in the store. The driver looked like she barely arrived because she was not looking bored or anxious as I was after waiting 15 minutes in my car, staring st the store exit. Before I could even start my car, here comes the door greeter with her pick up item for car in curbside #2!!! WOW SHE GOT HER ITEM IN MINUTES FROM ARRIVING!! They were horrible at this store. We had a custom built pc and had numerous problems with it. When we called to get a status update on it we were told that we were being rude. I explained that my young child needed to be patient but I have now had to bring in a 3k monitor 4 times in 10 days which is frustrating and the manager then called me rude. All I wanted was for my computer that I paid for to work and I was scolded and one of the employees called my son a super kid which I said was not acceptable and the manager yelled at me. I will never set foot in this particular store again if I have my way. Honestly, their customer service is simply terrible. I wandered around looking for something for a while with no one paying any notice to me, though 5 associates were standing around doing nothing not 10 feet away. When I finally give up and go looking for my husband I'm suddenly in the way of two other employees, who are in a hurry to get around me and are doing the "dance" of who's going right or left. Finally I stand still and the girl rolls her eyes at me. She walks away and then another employee sees me grumbling and shaking my head, and THEN asks if I need help. I was annoyed, and curtly told him no I was fine. I am never CURT to people in public!!! I found my husband, we made our selections, and then he found the weekly ad to check on a question he had (because no one bothered to offer help to him either), and then we checked out where he was carded for buying Looper. My husband and I have been customers of Best Buy for over 15 yrs. We have bought computers (desktops and laptops), printers, phones, cameras, car stereo equipment and ipads, not to mention many different peripherals and accessories, here and have always enjoyed the knowledgeable customer service people, the Geek squad crew and the overall friendly service. Today I visited the Eastview mall location in need of a new car stereo and speakers. The rep that I worked with, Jeff, was full of useful information and recommendations, was patient as I shared info via IM with my husband who is out of town, and was very efficient. Once I made a selection for the stereo receiver, he was able to very quickly install it right there on the spot. The speakers will be a little trickier since the door needs to come apart, but Jeff gave me all of my options and we made an appointment for me to return. Overall I have always been very pleased by the well-trained staff, their friendliness and confidence, their ability to easily answer questions or find the answers in a short period, and speediness of any kind of technical support. I am a fan, and I highly recommend using Best Buy for any of your electronics needs. read more

When I got my new phone I knew I needed a good case because I am constantly dropping it. I don't shop at electronics stores very often so I knew to do my research ahead of time to figure out what I wanted and went to a place where I knew I would be helped and get what I wanted. After going to the place I got my phone case from last time and not loving my options, I knew I would come here and in the end, I am happy I did. As I was looking at cases, a staff member came up to me and asked if he could help. I knew I wanted a hard case on the outside and a soft case on the inside. I told the staff member and he showed me all my options. He was kind enough to show me prices and the pros and cons of each case. Once further discussing my needs he narrowed down to 2 brands but had a preference to one over the other which is what I went with (Otterbox). I am a very touchy feely person when it comes to products I want to buy. The people at Otterbox are awesome because they have a display with the phone cases out so you can feel them, see how thick they are, how sturdy they are, etc. this was a huge reason why I picked this case. I am super happy with my experience and will probably get future cases as well as other items from Best Buy because I have learned the awesome staff is helpful, don't steer you towards other items and won't up sell you. read more

I've never written a review before but feel compelled to because this was the worst shopping experience ever. I bought a new HP laptop but they said it needed some updates so I'd have to pick it up later. When I came back that evening it still wasn't ready, in fact they hadn't done anything yet. They said it would take an hour and promised to call when it was all set, but they never called. I tried for over 30 minuted to call but all I could get were automated messages to press 3 for this and 2 for that, followed by over 10 minutes of music with adds. When I finally did reach a person she said she would have to check on my computer and put me on hold for another 9 minutes. They told me it's because they are so busy with the holidays, but this was November 4; what will it be like in a few weeks? Eventually they told me my laptop was all set so I went the following morning to pick it up. But when we got there they said they were running some updates, which would take just a few minutes. An hour later it was still "updating" and we couldn't wait any longer so they sent us home with our brand new laptop open, and told us not to close it or turn it off, and be sure to plug it in when we got home. At home and 7 hours later the screen still said Window updating 15% complete. I tried repeatedly to call Best Buy but with the same lack of success at reaching an individual that cared. I'd say this store has got to be the worst when it comes to customer service. read more

Quite simply the WORST Best Buy I've ever experienced. I'm usually easy when it comes to being a customer. I don't need much help, but I expect if my girlfriend and I are browsing around the high end TVs for 30 minutes that SOMEONE might possibly come over to see if we need help, have questions, or...oh, I don't know...want to BUY A FRIKKIN' TV!!!! Maybe that is thinking outside the box on my part. I have always been asked if I need help in every other Best Buy I have ever been in. There were plenty of employees milling about, but none seemed to have very much initiative to talk to people looking at expensive TVs. The place was not crowded at all, and I would have completely understood if that had been the case. So, in addition to awful service, this Best Buy seemed very disorganized. There were incorrect shelf tags, TVs labeled with incorrect model numbers, and different brands of similar TVs were scattered around, so it was hard to get a visual comparison. Usually Best Buys are far neater and far more organized than this one. After about 30 minutes of looking stuff up on my phone and being ignored, we left in frustration. The funny thing is, we basically knew what we wanted, and the fact that we got no service at all cost this Best Buy the sale of an expensive TV. So, finally, as we were obviously walking out, someone asked us if we needed help. At this point? Nope, buddy, sorry. Too little, too late. read more

I had a dash cam die after a month. The store only covers this for 15 days. I feel this is not the stores fault. The manufacturer tried to tell me the card I put in the camera from a previous camera was incorrect and refused to honor the one year warranty. They did not provide a card. 2 years ago, I purchased a Haier W/D. I also purchased a protection plan. For just under 2 years, it worked great. But a bit more than a month ago, it started failing. The dryer started leaving the clothes soppi ng wet. Not damp: SOPPING! We called and the guy on the phone said he knew what the problem was. A week later the Geek Squad guy comes out. The part ordered was not the answer. He orders another part. A week goes by, the Geek Squad guy comes back. The brand new part that just arrived is broken. YEA! So, my Geek Squad guy orders another one. A week goes by and here he comes again with a new new part. He puts it in. I do a couple loads. It works much better but the clock is still off. I put a load in before bed. When the buzzer goes off I put it on dry. I go to bed. Awhile later I get up to use the bathroom and the whole floor is absolutely soaking wet!!! I call the Geek Squad. Our tech comes back, sees what the problem is, but has to order a new part. And this time we wait 2 weeks, because, evidently they have instituted a new ordering system. So we wait and we wait and our young man comes back and replaces the hose and guess what? The original problem is back with a vengeance! I guess there is a policy of trying to fix the problem for at least 30 days before kicking it upstairs to see if they will just go ahead and replace the unit. Whomever our tech reports to said that the hose was a new issue, so that started the clock over. THE HOSE THAT BROKE ON THE DRY CYCLE AND SOAKED MY WHOLE FLOOR HOURS AFTER THE UNIT WAS MOST RECENTLY "FIXED". I called. I was told that they would send a new part. My husband called and they SAID they would "kick it upstairs" and that we would receive a callback in 4 or 5 hours. We didn't. That was a Thursday. On Monday I called again. I was told there was nothing that could be done, but remind the people "upstairs" that we were awaiting a decision and that I would receive a phone call withing "4-5 business hours". Never heard a word. That was Monday. Today is Thursday. As I was about to call again, my tech texts me to let me know he has yet another part to replace. FINE. Why not? He comes. He replaces the same damn part AGAIN. He leaves. I do a load of clothes. The washer works. The dryer leaves the clothes wetter than they were after the washer was done. I call Best Buy and this time I am sent to their "Special Forces". I am, once again, assured that this situation is going to be reviewed at the higher level!! And that I will be hearing from them in 5-7 DAYS. So far, their word hasn't been worth diddly squat. They put on their pleasant "Oh, I am so sorry for this problem" voices and lie through their teeth about any real resolution. Just don't even bother buying a major appliance, much less their so called Protection Plan. No help. No solution. No sincere apology. Just an $1100 piece of useless junk sitting in my home. Best Buy my butt! They do not honor their policies and/or commitments. (This is in no way meant to disparage the tech that has been out so many times. I purchased a Samsung TV as a Christmas present for my husband and it had problems with the picture after a few weeks. I called The Geek Squad and they quickly diagnosed the issue on the phone, recommended I make arrangements for return, came out to the house and Installed a new one, took back the dud with them and all within a few days. While it was a hassle replacing the TV, Best Buy can't be held responsible for the Samsung issue. There sales and service was outstanding and will continue to shop their for all my electronic needs. So I bought my laptop for school and I bought a two year warranty on it and all I have to do is bring it into Best Buy to use it. Well I called a week ago and they told me yes just come in and they would spend it out for me. Well here I am at 11:30am and they tell me I need an appointment so I leave and call the other one 20 mins away and they are full today. So I called the victor Best Buy and make an appointment at 12:15 and when I show back up the same guy from earlier had the nerve to tell me I didn't have an appointment!!!!! Why would I wait around knowing I need an appointment and not have an appointment made. So I would like to start by saying that I have always been a huge Best Buy fan. I shop there constantly. However, lately I have to say I have been really disappointed. I bought software online for my Mac and asked for it to be digitally delivered. Normally this process takes about an hour, usually less and at Miata couple. But those instances are few and far between. However I purchased Antivirus software from Best Buy yesterday at about 1:45pm. I got a confirmation email and order number saying that everything went through and that I would have to download email to me in an hour. Well here it is 26 hours later and I still don't have the email. So I called Best Buy and had to be transferred to various different departments finally getting to their online digital department which handles things that have to be digitally downloaded. So I speak to the gentleman and explain my issue. I then get placed on a brief hold, when he returns I am told that the order has been "status order declined". When I ask what this means he is unable to explain the situation and tells me that the only thing he can do is start and investigation and that I have to wait about 48 hours before the antivirus will be delivered to me. Honestly, I don't know what this means. The payments wasn't declined because I have my online banking institution email, text my phone every time my debit card is used. So I can see that it's not a payment issue. Honestly I am really dissatisfied with this whole experience. Why do companies state one thing and then do another? Had I know this I would have simply priced matched and taken my business elsewhere. If you're going to buy thing from Best Buy, I would be prepared to wait and then be prepared to not get the product that you ordered within the time frame that they specify. read more

Mixed experiences but mostly good. The sales and customer service staff generally have been very good, and Best Buy has a great selection of items. I like going there! My one not-so-good experience was when I bought a flat-screen TV. When they brought out the box, it was evident from the holes and tears in the cardboard that it had had a very rough trip to the Victor outlet. Despite this, they reassured me everything was fine and only reluctantly unsealed and opened the box at my my insistence, at which time it was evident that the screen was badly cracked. I was surprised at the lack of care in whomever does their shipping of fragile items (airport baggage handlers, perhaps?), in their obliviousness as to the significance of the roughness in which the box containing a delicate item obviously had been handled, and in acting mildly annoyed that a customer would suggest that something might be amiss. read more

She immediately gave me attitude and stated I needed a reciept even thought I had the receipt. She then prompted me to go to the Apple Store because there was nothing she could do for me. Without even looking anything up or taking a look at my headphone she rushed me out the door. I proceeded to Apple who told me that my beats were out of warranty and to go back to BestBuy and tell them they should be taking care of it. Stephanie was even ruder this time but thankfully a manager stepped and the geek squad (extremely friendly and helpful) sent them off to apple. I am awaiting there return. Just bought a new radio for my car last week and had to wait a week to have it installed. I paid around $68.00 to have this installed. $130.00 radio keep in mind. Just arrived today to have it installed and was asked where the wiring harness and install kit was???? I said isn't that what I paid for? The answer was no! Apparently I was not told that they don't sell them and it was gonna be at least $50.00 for the install kit they don't sell and $20.00 for the wiring harness. I returned it! You have a 50/50 chance of being satisfied at the Victor Best Buy. I had purchased a Super UHD 65" television a few days ago and signed up for the best buy card. I was told that I would have $170 in points to use on my next purchase. We plan on remodeling our kitchen so went online and picked out appliances totaling $2500. Since I didn't receive my card yet, I called customer service and asked how I can use my points toward the purchase, they said that I would have to go to the store and speak to the sales associate and order my appliances that way. A little inconvenient but not a big deal since we knew exactly what we wanted - after hours of researching appliances online. After about 20 minutes of browsing, a fairly inexperienced sales associate finally asked if he could help us. We asked if the appliances were in stock just in case they had gotten a delivery - but they weren't. Not a big deal - again we knew what we wanted. Keep in mind that the website did say out of stock, but there was a selection for free delivery. So you would think that all we needed to do was go there, set up a delivery and pay for our stuff. Not the case. After about 15 minutes, the sales associate called over his manager. The manager informed us that we could not get our appliances because they were not available in the upstate NY region. Slightly annoyed, I questioned him; why not order them because there was a selection for delivery online. Normally, if something online is unavailable, you would know before putting the item(s) in your online cart. The manager looked at me as if I did not know what I was talking about and said that you would find out after you check out that the items weren't available. This was very frustrating because I should have known that I couldn't order the appliances beforehand. Equally frustrating, was that the associate and manager really didn't care whether we made the purchase or not. I did not get snotty or nasty but was perplexed at the lack of salesmanship at Best Buy. We would have been more than happy to look at other appliances had either one of them showed any effort in selling us merchandise, but neither one did. All they did was shrug their shoulders and looked at me as if I were crazy. I recommend using Amazon or New Egg - and other websites to purchase high end electronics unless you need something right away and know for a fact that it is in stock. Appliances should be purchased from appliance stores or Home Depot and Lowes. There's obviously no incentive for anyone to sell anything at Best Buy. read more

I first went to the local store to exercise the low price guarantee with my printouts and website info. The management at the store could not be bothered so I called the 800 number. The person on the phone could not be bothered and claimed they match prices from amazon but not 3rd party -- the low price guarantee from best buy is not worth the paper it is printed on -- so they picked the stove up the same best buy truck and crew on 6/10/2015 here we are October 31, 2015 and still fighting to get the credit on my best buy card -- horrendous is the best word to describe this experience read more
