In a time where there is online competition....... customer service should be amazing at locations. Not in this case, at the pick up counter with Miquel. A birthday gift for me was at pick up for me. I was greeted at the entrance and pointed to the area where pick up was. Great service and I thought it would continue. I was the second person in line, and Miguel was assisting the person in front of me. Offered that passenger to take merchandise to the store and left me in line. Did not say anything to me about being back or that someone will be with me.....5 minutes of waiting.... and he comes back and just stands there looking at me. No hello..... no thanks for waiting.... Just staring like waiting for me to say something. So I did. I said: No thank you for waiting and smile/ smirk. He still stood there lost in space. So I knew to not expect service, I tell him that I'm there for a pick up. Transaction done and no thank you for transaction. No offer of bag to put a laptop box in. No offer of geek squad. I say, "Thank you" Still no response. I go to the front, and I ask for a bag and immediately I was found a clear bag. I asked for one because I had 2 small bags with me. The front didn't treat me like a bother and they are why I rated it higher than zero but I will not use this best buy again for my personal purchases. Not impressed. read more

Terrible customer service. My tv died and I went to Best Buy to purchase a replacement. I stood in the Samsung TV area for 30 minutes. There was one employee. I understood he was busy and waited my turn. After he finished helping the person he ignored me and walked away. I saw him just standing apparently waiting for another customer to walk in. It was like I was invisible. I walked over and asked why he ignored me and told him I would be going to a different store to purchase my tv. I also told the woman at the doors what happened. Return of a coffee maker which didn't work out of the box. Customer service was rude asking how many cups of coffee I made because there was residue in the filter. I responded with "none because it doesn't work!" No apology for my defective item and wasting time and not having a working unit on a the holiday. Won't go back to that location ever! read more

I was going to post a final review of my Black Friday purchase of the amazing air fryer that was 50% off but I can't back it up anymore. I was skeptical of the air fryer technology and put off buying one because the big ones were pricey and you know how tv commercials can be misleading. I posted some of the cooked outcome pictures to show how well it worked to back up this review but they were taken down so I'm going to ask you to trust this review with no pictures to back it up, it works great after a week of using it. I want to personally thank my fellow Yelp hater who got all my proof that the product works great removed, thank you. The pictures were posted for people like me who were skeptical and couldn't justify the $100 plus price tag, the pictures would have helped Yelpers justify paying the premium price for the counter top kitchen appliance if they saw how great it worked. If a fellow Yelper did this I would have bought one a long time ago and enjoyed it. Thank you once again for selfishly depriving my fellow Yelpers of proof that this pricy item works, pictures tell the real story. I hope this makes you feel good suppressing real information that fellow Yelpers could have found useful in making a decision on buying an air fryer. Updating my review. Buying the tv, no problem. Getting it delivered is a nightmare. How hard is it to bring a tv over, unbox it and make sure it works? Apparently it's VERY difficult for them. This should have been a 15 min delivery for them. Everything was cleared and ready for the new tv but instead they decided to just drop off a box and leave it tell me they don't care, they are busy. Bait and Switch. Scheduled online a subwoofer install. They confirmed by email and sent lots of texts making sure I was coming in at the appointment time. Take off of work and get a ride to pick me up so I can leave me truck with them. When I get there, they say they have been calling me for over a week (not a single missed call or v-mail from them) saying they want more money because I chose the wrong service online. Even if I agreed to pay more, they then claimed they didn't have time and I would need to reschedule. The store manager went along with everything the install guy said. I have the emails, texts, and receipt. Their website is, at best, incredibly inaccurate, but this has been going on for years. Seems intentional. Like at other Best Buys the phone guys are better than the other departments, I don't understand why that is. The kids working in the phone department are much better than the staff at any area AT&T, so this is a better choice to get a new phone if you like me are an AT&T victim. Like other Best Buys everything takes longer than it should. Visited this location because of its proximity to my work as I was looking for a technology solution. I was greeted upon entering and directed to the area I inquired about. They were completely out of web cams, which I intended on purchasing. So on to the next plan I had in mind, I began asking an employee some questions about my idea. Jao, was the employee I was working with and he was very patient and answered all my questions when I double checked and re-checked I had all of the connections I needed. I ended up purchasing the items through the Best Buy App because it was a corporate purchase which had my credit card on file and I didn't have it with me. Jao connected with a fellow Best Buy employee to ensure my order would get picked right away. He offered that I could wait in their home theater department while my order was picked. Ended up just going direct to Apple for their veteran pricing option and spent my few thousand on a new MacBook Pro there. Manager on the floor seemed oblivious to how to run the floor. Came here for an Acer Chromebook. I found the one I wanted on display, but turns out they didn't have it in stock. Given it was for a birthday gift that I was already sorely late in bestowing, I decided to go with our second choice of the Samsung. A worker from the cell phone area helped us (we didn't realize he was assigned to the cell phone area as he so readily helped us) and then when the guy actually assigned to the laptop area became available, he passed us off (totally understand). The laptop guy, though? Not very helpful. It was almost to the point of being kind of odd. Ie: Me: Ok, great. Since you're out of the Acer Chromebooks and I need a Chromebook today, I'll go ahead and get the Samsung instead. Him: Ok. *doesn't move* *stands staring at me* Me: You have those in stock, yes? Him: Yep. Me: Ok. Perfect. I'll take one of those then. Him: *nods* Ok. *does't move* Me: So. Yep. I'll take the Samsung. It went on like this until he finally tried to sell me on the protection plan. After the pitch for that was complete, he finally went in back and retrieved the Samsung. Best Buy survived the battle with Circuit City. RIP. Best buy gave me awful customer service related to a cash rebate long ago apparently this practice is no longer used to close a sale. I'm sure I'm not the only one. They lost a customer sadly for 10-15 years. I guess I held a grudge long enough. Since then. I've purchased a few things here in a pinch or impulse buy. But usually if a planned purchase is on the horizon it's a good place to get your hands on to try them out. I believe Amazon will continue to take customers away from box stores. I feel bad so I come here to stimulate the economy. If Best Buy doesn't innovate to stay competitive they may eventually follow the path of Circuit City. The staff here are always welcoming. I was in the store this evening for over 40 minutes. Arrived at around 6:50 p.m., and stood in the middle of the store toward the front for nearly all of that time. I wanted to purchase Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones, which were locked up, so it was necessary to get assistance. Three employees walked by at different times, and I told all of them what I wanted. They all kept walking and said they would find someone to help me. No one showed up. After standing there for 35 minutes, I walked back to the Apple area. Again, no one was around. There were clusters of employees, probably a dozen or more, standing together throughout the store, talking in the back in the Windows area, in the front by the cellphone counter, at checkout, and of course, several were standing around outside the door to smoke. There were hardly any customers in the store. It is much too difficult to buy anything in person now. No wonder Amazon is putting stores out of business. Don't bother with this place. Based on the experience we had with the car stereo installation service, this place sucks. The main store seems fine with regular humans who will talk to you, make eye contact and help. But once you pass through the door for stereo installation it's completely different. The guy there was pretty unpleasant and never made eye contact. The amount quoted ended up being about twice as much because my husband wasn't told about the "installation kit" this guy would have to use. It makes sense, but better communication would have helped us know upfront what we were getting into. On the plus side, he did do the work quickly, within the time frame specified, and there are no problems with my stereo. There was no walk-through or anything when he was done, which sucked. So, I'm on my own figuring it out with the manual. I'm glad I have my new car stereo but it's not for anything Best Buy has done for it. read more

Wow.... I would add a picture of this disorder in this store if I could. The supervior: Mike was terrible. From walking away from my husband and I mid-sentence, to ignoring my questions, and to practically yelling at us in the store. And after, we actually had to find him and look up the information on the product ourselves. The issues was this store items were miss priced? --An item that has been at Best Buy since February 2016 (it's January 2017). So when I got to register, Mike said this item was not released yet... and I asked him when the release date was, since I've seen this exact same item on their shelves, multiple times, for almost a year now. I asked him 3 times and he kept ignoring my question, not even attempting to look into it or help. He then skittered off. I followed him while looking up the information on my phone and he yelled at me and didn't even let me finish the first sentence that came out of my mouth. Who does that?? Came here to buy my Samsung G S3. The line was super long and the employees were super slow! In general, it's just like any other Best Buy out there but this location is pretty big. Customer service here however is under par. Guess I'm not used to un-energetic workers who sound as if they are about to faint but seriously if this is where you want to work or do work, put a little effort into it. The restrooms were filthy and disgusting. Seriously a gas station restroom would've been much cleaner compared to what I saw the evening I went in to make my purchase. The guy who helped me with my purchase actually forgot to give me all my goodies that came with the phone so I had to drive back to the store to pick it up. I purchased a high ticket item online for my husband's birthday which was last month. Yesterday he got around to actually opening and trying out the item. Turns out it didn't work for what his needs were so today we went to this store to return the item. The cashier who helped us actually couldn't help us because apparently there is a 15 day return policy. Admittedly, it is my mistake for not knowing that in advance, but given the circumstances of the purchase I thought we'd still be able to return the item. I bought it ahead of the birthday and this alone would have been outside of the 15 day return policy. Had I known about that I would not have made the purchase. In any case, I thought that I might be able to still return the item as it was open but unused and in fact still unpaid for since I deferred payment on my best buy credit card. No such luck... the manager (who was actually just a lead and not actually a manager) decided that the best he could do was give us an in-store credit. So now I have an in-store credit for a large amount and I am still paying the item off on my best buy credit card! I have no idea how this makes any sense at all. I am very unhappy with the service I received. The "manager" wouldn't even entertain the idea of returning the item on my best buy card and once I pay that total off I will be canceling the card. Once I cancel the card and we use up the amount on the store credit card... we will NEVER shop here again. The only reason I bought the item here in the first place was because I could defer the payments and interest for having the credit card through them. I only got the card in the first place a year or two ago so that I could buy my son a computer he wanted with the same deal. The customer service here is sub-par. It would have been very simple for this "manager" to just refund the amount to my card. Instead he lost a customer. I suppose that is meaningless since they are a huge company who doesn't care about their customers... there's always another to fill my place. Thanks for nothing best buy. read more

We had an iPad that was less than two weeks old when it stopped working. We tried to return it at the Delafield Best Buy but had left the power cord at home. They said to come back with the cord and they would exchange it for a new iPad and a new screen protector. Because we live in Milwaukee, we just went to the Mayfair Best Buy with the cord. THAT was a mistake. In Wauwatosa the customer service rep and the manager told us that they absolutely could not replace the $40 screen saver even though it was attached to a defective product. We were told we would have to go online and set up an account with ZAGG - InvisibleSHIELD and have them send us a new one through the mail. The manager did not care that the Delafield store told us they would replace the entire purchase. We left in a huff and drove all the way out to Delafield. Ben K and Sam M were the two people who helped us in Delafield and they were both great. We got a refund for the entire return value to replace both the iPad and the screen saver. They were apologetic about the defective product and very helpful all around. It was worth the extra gas to go west. read more

I've only been to this Best Buy location a couple of times now but I would have to say I am a fan. It's a big store with plenty of room to move. There are a lot of devices out on display that you can actually touch and interact with (iPad was especially cool). Service was pretty good. I bought a digital camera on my last trip and a girl came and helped me after looking the cameras over for a few minutes. She knew what she was talking about and helped me choose between two different cameras. Checkout was quick and painless. This will be my number one toy store. read more

We bought a TV, but they didn't have the right remote. After standing around for about half an hour, they gave up. Instead they insisted we buy a universal remote, claiming it was better and we'd get a 50% discount on the remote. WTF, if you don't have a component you should comp it, why should we pay extra because a store isn't organized. When I looked up my TV remote online, I noticed they had it in one of the piles they were looking through and lied, stating it wasn't reiterated the universal was better. We got home and found that although we had basic functuons (volume, channel, input), none of the Smart TV features worked with this supposedly superior remote and even some basic features (such as the directional buttons for menu selection) do not work. I've never had an experience at a Best Buy that didn't involve tactics reminiscent of a used car salesman, and this was definitely a final straw. Despite getting a good deal on the TV, the service and the constant swindling confirm for me that Best Buy is a horrible store and I will never ever purchase anything from any Best Buy ever again. read more

Last year around this time I bought a laptop, 17 inch screen (can't remember the name). Two days after purchase it wouldn't turn on. Took it to the Geek Squad (they are always so nice) and was told it was something with the drive. A week later as I was using it, it completely shut down. Took it back again and was told it was a motherboard issue and gave me a refund right away. Now March 2022 I went back and purchased a 17 inch screen hp Envy. 4 days after purchase it wouldn't turn on, HP just kept flashing on the screen. Took it back and 4 days after Geek Squad looked into it they said the drive was failing and that I could either buy the part for it or exchange it for another which would have to be ordered. I declined that offer and asked for a refund. I am not happy at all with those experiences, I paid a lot of money for those computers. Thankfully I was totally refunded, but I'm leary of buying any laptop from them. read more

I will most likely not go back to this store, and neither should you. Let me summarize three major disappointments: 1. I took my college-age daughter to this Best Buy to get a laptop. As we entered we were told someone would be with us shortly. 20 mins. later someone finally came to help... 2. Michael, the guy helping us was clueless - plain & simple (but, ok, friendly). After he had pointed us in the direction of a hp and had given us plentiful information he suddenly announced that they were completely out & couldn't even order one. Next, he corralled us around an Asus Zenbook 14 and insisted thay it had a touch screen. I was skeptical and pointed out that the product description didn't mention that feature, but he was sure he was right (and the reason it didn't work just then was bc it was in "presentation mode"...). Needless to say, that particular model did NOT have a touch screen - as we found out at home. 3. At check-out, when Michael entered my daughter's personal info into his computer, every detail, from her name to address to phone number to email, everything was displayed on a large TV screen, allowing anyone looking that way to figure out how to stalk my daughter (if they chose to do so). I have bought many of my electronics from here. I bought my Garmin GPS(love it), my Samsung plasma TV (love it), glass TV stand (love it), Beats by Dre headphones (love it), all my DVDs & CD's (love em), you get the picture. I've been pretty lucky here with service. There are times when it's busy and you have to search out some help, but usually they are pretty good about getting your questions answered. I know a few of the employees here and they are real nice people. Not to mention, I like the lay out of the store. DVD's & CD's in the front middle, TV's to the far right, video games systems and games to the far left, and computers, camera, etc in the back. It is a lot of items in this store but it doesn't feel cluttered. You can clearly see where everything is and how to get to it. It's my destination of choose when it comes to gadgets and whatnot. read more

I've been here before during holiday season and usually they're pretty joyful but today in the Television dept it was very unwelcoming. Alexandro Acted like it was a competition on who knew more about televisions and seem to be upset with me because I liked Samsung over Sony, because he's a Sony guy and shot videos. I didn't like his attitude, especially when he told me that I only liked a certain tv because it was cheaper. I later spoke to Chris, the manager, who looked like he didn't want to be bothered, whatever! I ended up buying the open box 49 inch Samsung tv for my mother ($672.66). She was happy, that's all that counts. Maybe the holiday season got to the TV DEPT. The guy who carried the TV out to my vehicle was ok. Interesting how I forgot his name but not the others, sorry. After researching in stores and online, I chose the highest rated brand of washing machine. I went to BB, cash in hand. No one in the appliance area, though many sales people passed me by. Finally my daughter went to find someone. The guy she found told her he had told me that he'd be right with me; he never did. When he did come over, I asked a simple delivery question and told him the machine I wanted. His response: You don't want that one, it gets returned all the time (this is a brand new model, that just hit stores). He said I should get this other one which was $200 more and the SAME BRAND. I muttered a-hole and went to report him at CS. The cs rep told me he'd tell the manager. I then posted my experience on FB. A person named Kat replied for BB and told me to send an email to corporate (now she should have done that for me; not ask me to repeat everything all over). My friends commented like crazy -- a few hours later my post on their page was removed. I sent an email to corporate. A day later I got a response and a "case number" (evidently customers are just numbers and there are a lot of complaints) saying the store manager or the district manager would be contacting me in the next 48 hours to help "rectify" my experience. And if I didn't hear from them, I should contact the writer, Marti, again. WOW. What horrible service; again putting the responsibility on me to follow thru. Bottom line: lazy employees and customer liaisons. DONT'T SHOP THERE. I bought my washer at HHGREGG the next day, it was delivered and I'm listening to it clean my clothes right now. I love it. I can't recommend people stay away from this Best Buy strongly enough. I received a pair of headphones as a gift from my father who lives in Ohio. Knowing him, he paid cash for them. I tried them out for a couple weeks and decided I didn't like how they fit and sounded. I asked them where he got them, and he told me Best Buy. Since I work across the street at Mayfair Mall, I figured I'd just exchange them at this location. I couldn't have been more wrong. I went in, found the item I was looking for instead, and headed to customer service to make my exchange. Now, I realize that online it clearly states that they won't make a return without a receipt, which makes sense. However, since I was wishing to make an even exchange, I figured it shouldn't matter. The clerk who initially helped me was very polite and helpful. She suggested I get a receipt since I'd get the lowest recent value for the headphones I was returning. I told her that getting a receipt wasn't possible, and that I was fine with any value lost as a result. She then went to get a managers approval for the exchange, and came back and told me that she wasn't allowed to do an open-box exchange without a receipt on an item that cost as much as the headphones did (~$130). I explained to her that I wasn't frustrated with her, but that I wished to speak to a manager. Eventually, a manager named Rikio came over and proceeded to tell me that he couldn't do an open-box return without a receipt. Considering I work in retail, I heard this as A) he could do a closed-box return without a receipt, making it somehow systematically possible, and B) he wouldn't do anything to help me. I explained that I wasn't looking for any cash back, just to exchange it for a different product - I would even pay money, because what I wanted was more than what I was returning. He continued to say he couldn't/wouldn't help me. I even said I'd willingly take the lowest stated value for the product I wanted to give them back. and still Rikio said no. I said something along the lines of "I know you have the ability to override this policy as a manager" and still Rikio refused to do anything to help me. I suppose I could've escalated this even further, but I was running late for a meeting, and it was clear that nobody in that store with the capability to help me had the desire to do so. As a result, I really advise people to avoid Best Buy in general, and this location in particular, because it seems as though the company and/or location is in the habit of providing great anti-customer service. Thanks to Rikio, I will tell anybody who will listen that any extra money that they may pay on shipping from Amazon will be well worth it in dealing with their customer service rather than saving a few dollars for the convenience of not being helped by Best Buy. read more

When it got there I was informed that they would hold it until Saturday. I got there Saturday and they did not have it. I am guessing that they took it off hold and sold it.
