I just bought my new 2013 Traverse (Beast) from Best and they were awesome. I came in late on a Friday and worked with Ed Ferragamo. He was awesome. I had researched a ton of cars on line and brought him a vin of a car that I wanted. He pulled the exact one down and we drive it quickly. They were great in the finance side of things too. I had to wait two weeks to get a GM family discount number, and put down a deposit down on a car, which they kept aside for me till I got the number. There was no 20 rounds of "let me check" on the pricing, and while I would have liked more for my trade, they were decent with getting that done. We did paperwork, transferred plates and got me out the door all in one day. I am very happy and would recommend buying there. read more

Brought my truck in for a service battery charging system. Myself being mechanically inclined tested the charging system which was properly functioning. All signs pointed to a module in which needed to be programmed only by dealer. They insisted in telling me the alternator was bad and that it would be $775. I then told them I had already tested the alternator which was indeed properly working. Caught them trying to drag me through the coals before fixing actual problem. read more

Overall, a very good experience in getting my new car lease. I wanted the Cruze Premier and my Sales Associate Aaron Markella was awesome. He showed me the available models that fit my tastes and it was time to talk. The deal for the best price was a very pleasant experience. Once I got my price it was time to sign. I got a very good monthly payment and a fair Residual and was extremely happy. Step 1 was done and now it was Finance manager time :) I dealt with Pascal and he was very pleasant and helpful. Helpful advice for all buyers or lessees educate yourself on what extended protections you want either Warranty for a used car or Wear and Tear protection on a lease. Sold a test drive vehicle without informing the customer. Usually I would walk away from a test drive car. In this case, I made a decision to buy the car anyways not because they offered an additional $200 discount it was because I needed to wrap up the purchase because of my busy schedule. Secondly, I was not aware that the van did not have side glass window. Did not inspect the van completely because I assume it is a basic cargo van model (construction vehicle). It is the sales person responsibility to show me the car instead he tried to hide many negative factors/features of the vehicle. The car did not look clean and I addressed the issue and he still did not clean it. I have purchased many new vehicles (at least 8), this is the worst condition that I have ever received a new car in. At the time, there were 2 promotions offered by GM. The sales person did not inform me about it. Even after I told him that there were promotions available he still insisted that there isn't any additional offers. He should have been aware of it or was he trying to hide it so he doesn't have to perform the additional paperwork of getting the money back from corporate office. Either way, if is was another consumer, he/she would have lose out on an additional $1000 incentive plus 2 years of free oil change. This was an additional incentive of top of the $2000 rebate. Yes, the dealer did sold the test drive car for a profit but his loss is the future potential customers. In addition, he will receive many negative reviews on the social networks. I will be sure to find the time to write the negative reviews. Of course I will not purchase from this dealer anymore. I will be sure to let other consumers aware of the company's ethical standards. In the end, balancing the time that i had to purchase this vehicle and the fact that is was just a work vehicle, I was willing proceed with the purchase. I've been to Best a number of times for regular maintenance on my Tahoe. I've also been to other service centers, and I can say without hesitation that Best really is in a league of their own. Every time I've gone, I have been greeted by one of their service reps who wanted to find out about any problems with my truck. From there they brought the truck in, and the rep met with me to discuss my options on the issues I had mentioned along with any other issues they had found (this past time, new air filter and reverse light was out). They tell me the pricing and if I want to go forward with the service. I have walked out every time knowing that I had gotten great service as well as fair pricing. I honestly can not give them enough credit for taking such good care of my truck and their customers. read more

Had an issue with rims they fixed those now I have a truck with a leaking roof and a radio that doesn't work if it is cold - went in nothing they can do on a truck less than 3 years old. Not sure why they cant make it right the first time. Don't buy from here and NEVER buy an extended warranty because they apparently do not cover anything either! read more

LESSEE TAKE NOTE! I recently leased my first car here. After working with the salesman to get the monthly payments down to where I wanted them to be I agreed to sign the deal. What wasn't clear to me is that excise taxes were not included in any of the numbers I was shown. In my case that amounted to a $700 annual surprise. This is where things get tricky. The front of the lease will give a number for all taxes and fees (Section 13). However, this number doesn't include property taxes (per GM financial). As a first time lessee there would be no way to know this. If you do lease a vehicle, especially if it's your first, don't believe the number they put in front of you. Ask what isn't included and how much your payments will really be. I didn't think to ask what the first was. Apparently they include an addendum in their paper work, which isn't required by law, saying you know and agree to pay the property taxes. My one piece of advice was to make this clearer and do so sooner in the process. The first time you hear about this is after you've already agreed to the purchase and are signing a stack of paperwork. It should really be disclosed during negotiations and not buried in a stack of paper. Still, I give them credit for following up. read more

I am always impressed with Best Chevrolet. I just recently purchased my Silverado lease that I had for 3 years. I dealt with Cathy Goudy in the sales department. There was never and pressure and she went over all my options and was very straight forward and very professional .When it came to the financing part of the sale I worked with Pascal Lizaire he was also very professional and went over all my options including Gap insurance and extended warranty and a few other things. A really pleasant car buying experience! I came here directly from Jannell Ford, which had just told me I needed a new catalytic converter. I don't like Jannell's service (it was there for recall stuff) and their showroom is depressing, so when I realized I might as well buy a new car instead of throwing money at my old one, I headed to Best. I normally get my car serviced here, and knew I liked them and felt comfortable with them. I am a horrible car buyer, so I brought a friend and our sales guy Justin was great! It was seriously painless, they had 2 Escapes that were in great condition and at great prices. There was none of that feeling that I was going to be taken advantage of or get a bad deal. And the finance guy was great too. All around a wonderful experience to find the car I wanted. Yes, I left a Ford Dealership to go to the Chevy Dealership to buy a Ford. If i could give less stars i would. Went in there to buy a used car. Didnt get the feeling i was getting hosed as it was a 2012 in good condition with low miles for a good price. In the year i have had it it has been in the shop 10 times. Was supposed to be a turbo they said with my most recent visit but apparently it wasnt. Guess they just found that out now even though theyve worked on it 9 other times. Power steering cut out while driving...among numerous other issues. Since they arent the same issues apparently i cant lemon law it but if i could get my money back and start over i would never go here again. BEWARE read more

Best Chevrolet is a life saver! I've used them twice for two accidents last year and I will use them this week as I was hit again today. The process is so easy I literally drop off my car, sign a few peices of paper and then pick it up in a few days when ready. Even with rentals its extremely easy. I will say this...The GM Erick Smith and the Service Manager Joe C proved to me that their entire mission is to make you a lifelong customer. Going above and beyond does not begin to explain what they did to turn a potentially bad experience into one that will have me going back. Long story short, my 19-year old daughter looked to purchase her first vehicle there recently, and after a very rocky start to things, Erick and Joe stepped in and made my daughter feel like the most important person in the room. Neither she nor I felt that way at the beginning of the process for a variety of reasons, but those two stepped in to make it work. Please don't misunderstand the post, as I am writing to advocate that you give them a chance at your business. They are committed to making it work. The only reason that I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the rocky start, but the two most important people, the GM and the service manager, deserve more than 5 stars. Because of the two of them, I am inclined to believe it was just an unfortunate set of circumstances that led to that rocky start and that the early part of our experience was an aberration. They were excellent, going above and beyond to take care of the problem and also take care of my travel needs with a loaner while my car was being repaired. Wow - disappointment through the ENTIRE process! I called numerous time to speak to my sales rep only to not have voice mails, text messages, or emails returned in a timely manor. (And by that I mean two days) I was jerked around for a week! From the time I put my down payment down until my check to pay in full was delivered. Today the car was delivered (after not receiving any updates throughout the day). I did receive a call when the sales rep was on his was to drop the car off, which I specifically requested to NOT have him drive my car to me. (I was/am beyond aggravated with him and did not want to continue doing any further business with him.) A front end alignment was suppose to be completed and it was not done. Nor did I have a copy of any of the paperwork for the car. The sales rep said it was in the mail. (In the mail??? He just drove the car to me, why not bring it to me?) I then called the dealership and talked to his manager, the paper wasn't mailed out, he forgot it. The manager agreed to reimburse me for the cost of the service provided I supply a bill. (Thankfully) To top if off the car wasn't even detailed. There is dust and crumbs in the cup holders, finger prints all over the buttons and dash. I would HIGHLY recommend you save your time and go elsewhere. My first and last time ever purchasing a used car. I told the sales rep to take the car back. He blew the deal but the joke was on me. He said I could sell it back to the dealership. (lol) He really ruined the excitement of purchasing a new (used) car. Although I had a HORRENDOUS experience with this inexperience, unprofessional, sales rep. There was another sales rep that I contacted because my rep was not doing his job, and helped me finalize the deal. For him I am grateful and appreciate him stepping up to the plate. Without his help, the car may still be at the dealer and I would have backed out for sure. I do regret even giving my business to this dealership. I'm appalled at how this process was handled and that management allows terrible sales reps like this to represent their business. read more

Bought my first Chevrolet from Best Chevy in Hingham after going to other dealerships including Quirk...When I walked into each dealership I quietly yet clearly stated that my interest was buying 1 new Chevy Suburban. And I was strongly considering doubling down and buying 2!...Continuing, I asked to speak to the owner or the general manager. And all of the other dealerships acted as if they didn't want my mint or could care less about my coin except Best Chevrolet. Not only did Bruce, the GM, come to speak to me personally, he did something he doesn't do: He handled my entire purchase! He didn't just greet me and hand me off to one of his salesmen who I'm sure are all awesome. So I returned a few months later and bought another Suburban. And bought a Town & Country a short time after that. Lastly, their service department is Top Shelf: Chrissy, Patty, Katie at the service desk and Steven T. my service agent are A-Plus! They have a supposed Disney like atmosphere! I have never been more disrespected at a dealership. The sales manager AL, who was supposed to try to help figure out numbers, sat down and picked a fight with me about my trade in. I came in my work clothes and was treated like some type of vagrant. They jumped to conclusions on my finance numbers with out running my credit. When I asked where he had gotten that number with out running my credit he gave me a look over. As if to say look at you! Went in today for an oil change and to check my front break that was squeaking. Was originally diagnosed as a possible belt problem, then as an air intake problem. Long story short, when I press my breaks it still squeaks. Also, noticed a chip in my windshield that I'm really hoping is just a coincidence, even though I fee I would have noticed it if was there before. I really feel service has gone down. read more

Went there to look at a used SUV. Played the typical, "let me go talk to my manager" game every one in the world hates. I left never intending to go back and several weeks later they called me and offered me the same truck at 3K lower. I said "OK, I have financing I'll be down in the morning". The Best Chevrolet rep suggested I put a hold on it and I did so with $500. Roughly an hour later a person from their finance office called and left me a message stating that they couldn't do the deal we agreed on unless I financed the truck through them. I've bought roughly 25 cars in my life and never ever once heard of a dealer pulling this on a used vehicle. I think their legal department would serve them well to add the old used car disclaimer "On Our Terms" to their advertising because they flat out lied to me and reneged on a deal we agreed on. Be careful if you do go there. I wouldn't trust anything they say or claim! read more

Yes, dealerships often cost more for repairs than other shops. But, this place has an awesome deal on oil changes, and excellent customer service. *Unless the deal has changed*, this is what you get for $24.95: - oil change - car wash - good coffee (no, really, I think it may be Starbucks) - free yummy muffins, pastries - a comfy waiting area with flat screen TVs, newspapers, magazines - free wi-fi - clean bathrooms - a free shuttle to the derby street shoppes next door (yay!) or other places - cell or email notification when your car is ready - and the last time i got my inspection done there (fixed price of $29 in MA wherever you go) i got a complimentary newspaper in my car, too The last rep I had was little prickly, in my opinion, but the other ones have been great, and the receptionist is always very pleasant and efficient. Oh, and I haven't checked this out, but apparently they're starting something called Women's Wednesdays, where you can schedule a free manicure while you wait for any service over $50. Pandering to women? Perhaps. Pampering women? Definitely. read more

Came here to get a quote on an estimated fuel pump leak. The quote came out to be $700 in parts and $700 in labor (without even looking at the vehicle to confirm the diagnosis). After getting a second opinion, turns out the part was on recall through the manufacture. Took my car to another dealer and ended up getting the entire pump and cables replaces all covered under the recall! $0 for me; whereas had I allowed Best Chevy to replace it, I would have paid $1400. Definitely consider second opinion for any car service done here. read more

This is the best dealership for service I have ever been to. The work is always done right on the first try, the prices can be a bit expensive for some things, but they are still pretty reasonable. I am treated well, and then you throw in things like the coffee and tea bar, the fresh pastries every day, the shuttle service.. Pretty good deal all around. They also will usually match other dealerships prices. I don't feel like I am getting screwed like I do at other dealerships. read more
