A good breakfast burrito is hard to come by in NYC, and whenever I need to scratch my itch, I go to Son Del North or Ceremonia Bakery, but I heard the recently opened "Best Damn Breakfast Burrito" in the East Village could compete with the heavyweights.. They burst onto the New York City food scene in late September, as they did $5 burritos through the end of the month. I tried to go back then, but the line was down the block so I wanted to wait until the hype died down. I came in and opted to go with the Chori burrito, as my Mom and I have always bonded over some good 'Zo. It ran $13.50 and came with scrambled eggs, Chorizo, cheddar cheese, and tater tots. The Chorizo was fantastic as it was tangy and savory, and crispy bites of tater tots along with a healthy portion of cheese amalgamated to form a high level burrito. The only weak point for me was the tortilla, as it wasn't really a true Mexican tortilla that has that thick, pillowy texture. The Best Damn Burrito is not up for debate. Every bite was so good. The ingredients are fresh and perfectly prepared. Only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star is navigating to the location is not the easiest but they do have a lot of signs to help you navigate. I've tried this place a couple times, but only ordering CYO. This last time was incredible. No pics of the burrito since it was devoured but here's my order in case you need inspiration. I don't eat pork but feel free to sub your own preference. Ngl the turkey bacon was delicious. Going into the building is an adventure to say the least/ having to sign in & finding the place is a challenge. Once you get the run around it's not the worst thing. Went on a trek to get the "best damn breakfast burrito". This place is in a building and we had to take elevator to get there. Thankfully there were signs leading to the burrito! I ordered the Chori burrito, it was good! Mine had the tortilla a bit burned, wouldn't say it's the best damn breakfast burrito (I'm from California so my standards are high) but it's definitely above average for New York. I would go here again! I wish they had a table for guests because I ended up eating it outside of the building on a bench. read more

When you've had a long night and you're coming home late/in the morning, this is the spot to go. It's hard to find a place in NY that has amazing breakfast burritos, and well this place definitely lives up to the name! I came across this place on DoorDash, and from the looks of it they are only have delivery service through apps at the moment. No dine-in available. I was a little nervous ordering since they didn't have any Yelp reviews yet, but seeing they're a brand from California, a part of me was like you've got to try it. And I'm glad I did! This is the Best Damn Breakfast Burrito in NYC. I absolutely loved that they gave the option to create your own (CYO) giving you all the creativity of items you'd love and prefer in your burrito. They also have some pretty well paired signature burritos available as well. I did a CYO with chorizo, scrambled eggs, cheese, tatertots, and avocado with pico de gallo on the side. I would say the burrito is on the medium size (I typically only eat half but for this one I was able to eat the whole thing). Although on the slightly smaller end, like they didn't skimp out on the meat or avocado and the eggs were fluffy. The pico de gallo was also fresh and had a nice kick too it. I had also ordered the El Captain which came in a cup with a screw-on cap. Which is nice because it assures that the drink doesn't spill while en route to you. The drink was blended with pineapple, banana, mango, ginger, turmeric, and oat milk. Given the fruits and spices the drink wasn't too sweet and both the ginger and turmeric flavors weren't overpowering. I look forward to getting more breakfast burritos from here again! read more

Found this place on UberEats months ago and I order it all the time! It's one of my favorite places. I have ordered from here 7 times and the burritos are perfect every time! I get the La Neta and add chorizo! My bf gets a Create your own: bacon, chorizo, cheese, whole egg. We pick the salsa verde and that comes on the side! I think the burritos are a pretty good size as we are full after every time. I think my only con about this place is the salsa as it is very inconsistent. Even when I moved here back in 2018, it felt like bushwick/ridgewood was something of a breakfast burrito desert. I've been LOVING trying all of the new breakfast burrito offerings around here, but this is one I come back to most. I get the La Neta, which has bacon, tots, cheddar, avocado, eggs and crema. The egg is not always consistent but at its best there is often some jammy yolk rather than a hard scramble many other BB places have. The potatoes are always crispy and the crema is lightly applied but adds the perfect amount of acid and creaminess. Get it with the salsa verde. If they had pickled jalapeños, I'd call it the perfect breakfast burrito. But for now I agree it really is the best damn breakfast burrito in our area. read more
