Was not happy with this company. However, they did reach out to us and issued a large credit for their services. We were having an A/C issue (warm air out of vents). First person came and said we needed to seal ducts, clean & fog ducts. Sold us $4900 work. Did work next day. That evening when A/C running, water ran through ceiling into 2 bathrooms. Ugh. Next guy came, said we were low on refrigerant and also stated our duct work was too small for A/C system. We needed to redo ductwork ($6700 estimate). He installed 1 float to prevent overflow. He said air handler was leaking outside of pan and we would need to remove condenser and pan ($1800 verbal estimate). At this point, we called another company for second opinion. That company stated air handler was dripping because someone had moved it off pad. This company also installed a second float. Said there should have been 2. Stay away from the scam artists of SWFL. My ac unit had some urgent issues last September and they came out to fix. Disregard that a $30 capacitor was about $300 for them and a $15 contactor was another $300. A $50 hard start kit for $500. Insulating the air handler was another $2k. They signed me up for the maintenance program which has been nothing but problems. Their 'electrician' Stu said my GFCI outlets weren't working properly and said he'd change that for free if I did their estimated $6k in repairs. And the 'electrician' Stu said that the wires were loose in my breaker panel so he would tightened the screws. He told me we were probably having flickering lights because of this. I wasn't, but now I do! Also had an AC tech come out for the maintenance program recently which he tells me the AC is fine. Well, just had a home inspection and the AC is under powered. Only an 11 degree output differential (should be 15-20 degrees), tubing was not properly insulated which has rusted the catch pan underneath it. They'll reply and say my unit is old but the inspector said they did subpar work and to have them come back out and fix it. Will they own up to this and fix it for free or try to blame me? Let's wait and find out. I've called to cancel my maintenance service plan because they obviously don't have a clue what they're doing. They'll respond and say my electrical isn't up to code, but the code changes every year. The electrician either loosened my wires more or tightened them too tight. They said they could send another tech out for more money. Yea no. I asked for a supervisor months ago and never got a callback. Just look at BBB and see how many complaints they have. I wish I would have before I called them. They have so many complaints that the BBB asks you to not submit to them and to email someone else. Probably need to charge extra on jobs just to pay someone to constantly respond to complaints. Overall: Best home services will help you in a jam and charge you 4-5+ times what others will while smiling at your ignorance and give you below average repairs that will (hopefully for them) last until after their 1 year guarantee. I'm curious if you'll do the right thing and fix the issues from my home inspection free of charge. God knows I've already paid for the labor from the last fix. And if I see a charge for your 'yearly membership' in September after speaking to someone in February to cancel it then I'll just know for a fact that best home services is incompetent. And you don't need a written communication stating I want to cancel, the FCC says it's as easy to cancel as it is to sign up. So you can either send a tech/salesperson out so I can sign or take this as written communication. I look forward to finally hearing back from you. I requested the kitchen sink faucet be replaced. They did install the one I wanted. But they have double charged me plus for the work. I was charged $1113 two times plus $600 deposit which was towards the $1113. The faucet cost me $2826. This is stealing from customers. Beware - Highly Questionable and Possibly Fraudulent Practices I had a deeply concerning experience with this company. During what was supposed to be a routine maintenance visit, the technician claimed my freon was low--possibly due to a leak--and that my capacitor was starting to fail. I found this odd, as my AC unit is less than three years old. He warned that leaving it as-is could cause serious damage to the entire system. Trusting his professional opinion, I agreed to proceed with the repairs. However, something about the situation didn't feel right, so I did some research and eventually brought in another company for a second opinion. The second technician thoroughly inspected the system and confirmed that the capacitor was functioning perfectly, the voltage readings were normal, and there were no signs of a freon leak--freon levels were fine. Even more concerning, he found that the system had not been properly cleaned during the supposed maintenance visit. There was still visible buildup in the AC unit, which should have been addressed as part of standard service. So why was I told to replace a working component, pay for unnecessary freon, and receive incomplete maintenance? I contacted the company to escalate the issue and was told that a manager would get back to me. Days later, no one has followed up. The lack of accountability is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. This experience leads me to believe their practices are dishonest at best, and possibly fraudulent. This is the absolute worst company I have ever hired to preform a service. They are scammers and do not take responsibility for their wrong doings. I purchased their maintenance service which seemed like a fair deal. I schedule a A/C maintenance service on a Wednesday on my A/C which is less than 2 years old. The tech told me everything was working perfectly and tried to sell me some overpriced components that my A/C did not need (UV light for example). Less than 48 hours my A/C that has never had any issues isn't working. I call and let them know. They send another tech over and he tells me the motor blower isn't working and needs to be replaced. Weird my new A/C never had any issues until they came by for maintenance. The tech tells me my A/C has warranty but even with the warranty it cost them $800 to get to the piece (which is bs because warranty doesn't charge for the piece) or I can get a piece they have in stock that is $1,500. I googled the piece, it cost $350. I am upset at this point because they are trying to steal my money for something they broke. Spoke to a manager who told me it's not their fault my A/C broke because when they came it worked fine and he could charge me $450 to fix it. It's insanity that they won't take responsibilities for their mistakes and negligence. Buying our new home in SW Florida we needed lots of work with Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC. The previous owner had used this company so we thought OK we will continue their service. What a mistake. We needed Plumbing and Electric ran down to our dock on the canal. Plumbing to be able to wash our boat and electric to boat lift we are getting ready to install. Plumber Joe seemed very nice and knowledgeable. We told him where our property line was and to watch out for the irrigation lines on our and our neighbors property and described we wanted done and he quoted and performed the work. He used a trencher and dug the line. 1st He encroached on our neighbors property be to lazy to move some landscaping borders to stay on our propert. 2nd he hit an irrigation line and didn't tell us. 3rd when he filled it back in all the dirt washed away which at 1st we thought it was from the rain but found out later it was because he hit the irrigation line with the trencher and broke it. We had them come out to fill in the trench but the fill started washing away again which is when we found out he hit an irrigation line and broke it. Electrician Matthew was even worse. He came when they were calling for rain and said it would be no problem. Him and his crew dug a trench threw the dirt on the neighbors property covering their sprinkler lines left the wiring hanging off the wall in such a mess. Their drink bottles in the yard. Then argued with us about what gauge wire he was going to use to go to the lift. We called complained asked that Harlan that quoted the job come back and complete it. The job was completed by Harlan and then we found out that Matthew while digging broke an irrigation wire. After several weeks of waiting on a manager and a supervisor to call me back about all the issues I have had with their company and the way their employees performed their job and left my yard in a total mess broke my irrigation system and with me having to hire an irrigation company and landscaper to fix their employees mess. I am furious that I have STILL not received a phone call from anyone and also the Electrical permit is not closed out. I would not hire this company. The employees that worked on my projects are not experienced and I also don't like the fact they keep sending out different people to work on the same project. I also don't like the fact that after numerous phones calls and complaints I STILL have not be contacted by a manager or supervisor after being told they will call me back that day. After having issues with my AC I called them out for a service. The first "technician" shows up and basically just tries to sell us the annual plan (which in hopes of getting better service we accepted and paid for the annual plan). I ask him if my AC unit was too small for the size of my house and he replies, "no it's the perfect size. If we were to put a new system in it would be the same size". He provides me 3 outlandish quotes (I assume to make us feel like the annual plan is more worth it than the quoted work.) We finally say please just check the coolant and refill if it's low. He laughs and says "Oh no I can't work on the system, I've hung my tool belt up years ago", but don't worry as soon as I leave someone from dispatch will be calling you to schedule a service technician out. I waited 2 days and no one called me back. On the 3rd day I called and called and called until finally someone called me back. I scheduled the "actual" service tech for later that week, 5 days now after the original call. When the 2nd technician showed up the first thing he said was "your unit is too small and we should upgrade to the next size up". Already feeling like this company is trying to take advantage of us, I became extremely skeptical of everything that he said. He got into my attic and "ran his tests", the results were "there is sediment from the install is partially blocking the coolant line. We would need to replace a part of the AC (please note: I don't remember the part name I think it was the coil but I have yet to receive any paperwork from the service call.) and said it would cost $2500. Now my AC is only 3 years old and the my house was built in 2020 and I confirmed that all parts would be covered under the original manufactures warranty. I said "$2500?! that's with the parts be covered under warranty??" he said "yes sir, that is only labor and coolant". My reply was "can I please get a quote with a breakdown of the costs?" the technician said "nope that is a flat rate cost and we don't breakdown our costs."Now, I am not an HVAC technician, that cost may be accurate, but as sure as I type this DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE with trusting a company that sends 2 techs out that completely contradict each other. I declined the work and asked the tech to leave. I did however asked for the technician to perform the maintenance service for our unit and was told "that wasn't possible during this trip, because this was a service call and not a maintenance call" More than frustrated at this point I called in an attempt to cancel my annual plan, as no work had been performed and only 5 days had lapsed. I have called and spoken to several different people, all have promised me that someone from the membership department would be reaching out ASAP to find out what happened and how to make things right. 2 months after Ian, I had them come out and check my AC system. They said there was nothing wrong with the system and it didn't need anything. They found there was some water in the air ducts, and gave me a a verbal estimate to dry them out and replace the main supply and return air duct for $4,000. I never received this formal quote, however did receive an $800 service call bill. I found another firm that dryer out and cleaned the house ducts the very next day for $1,000. We hire Best to replace the 14" supply and return air duct, about 8' of duct work for $1,800. When I arrived at the home in January, we found that they had not refastened the outside air handler to the concrete pad.
