I order chicken with mix vegetables and beef with mix vegetables. And I ordered white rice. She asked me large or small and I said large! Singapore Fried Rice I was excited about this different spin. I was very disappointed at the execution. Firstly the amount of curry spice was nonexistent, instead to get the heat they used chili oil. The spice level was overpowering, making it inedible. The shrimp were so small that it seemed like ones that you would get from the pet store. The redeeming quality was it was the lunch hour so the price was lower, meaning I didn't waste too much money. Service was friendly. Ample parking. Is this GREAT chinese food - no. That said, for take out in HoCo it's one of the best options. They consistently get your order right, and if you liked a dish you got before, it's going to be just as good the next time. They are very reliable. The shrimp is generally a step or two above what I would expect at a chinese take-out place - being both larger and more flavorful. This place really is as advertised. What gets them a step up is the customer service. Orders (we usually order around 5-6pm on Saturdays) are ready in 20 minutes and nicely packed up. I've never had a missing item or something mixed up. The woman who works the register is always quick and very nice if it's a quieter day - efficient if it's busy (and that's okay). Right now they still seem to be exclusively take out, but aside from special events going on in the plaza, I rarely saw many people dining inside. Though, my favorite memory of this place (and one reason I'm loyal to them) is when I took my daughter to get medicine for her ear infection, I got stranded with a dead battery for a couple hours. We spent most of the time in the restaurant (before COVID), and despite only ordering a couple things, they were perfectly fine with us camping out there, and even found some pens and paper for my daughter to play with and offered me some free tea while we waited. read more

I order here often for lunch. Their crispy shrimp rolls are pretty amazing. The service is always quick and delicious!

The atmosphere needs a little help but the food was delicious. I got the lunch special chicken snd vegetables. Food was awesome and there was a lot i had to take the rest home. The egg roll seemed to be just a cabbage roll and very bland. read more

I hate to do a review like this because their food is good. They are pricey but it's kind of worth it. HOWEVER, they charged me twice for my meal and refused to offer a refund for the second charge. Gave me an excuse told me to check that evening or the next day for it to return to my account and its day 2. They are refusing to refund it or do anything basically telling me to wait. Be careful using your card. Also, tried to pick up my father's order same time, cashier refused to give me the order because I said Singapore noodles and not curry said the rest of the order correctly just not that. Worst Chinese takeout I've ever had!!! Overpriced and screwed up my order. I said hot and sour soup. Got home and it was a most bland wonton soup...ugh. My guess is they were out of hot/sour and substituted thinking I would find out until I got home...then it's too late. Other food was mediocre at best. I bought $65 worth of takeout, waited twenty minutes for it, and then was sorely disappointed when I got home. Don't go here. Compared to other Asian restaurants snd carry outs in the Columbia area, this has been the best experience for me. Each time I've ordered from here, the food has been fresh, hot and flavorful with large portions and a reasonable price. The combination lo mein is a winner! read more

It's here. I needed takeout. And it was convenient. Let's go. I saw "Singapore Noodles" on the sandwich board out front and so that's what I ordered when I got to the counter. A solid portion of noodles, nicely loaded with chicken and shrimp and vegetables. And just a little bit of spice to it to make it interesting. You can't beat the price, that's for sure. The food and the price here is great for what you get. My wife and I have been here twice and have done the dinner combo (entree, rice, egg roll, and a choice of soup) each time and that is enough for 2 servings. It takes about 15 minutes for them to prep it and comes out nice and warm. read more

This spot has vegan/vegetarian options that my meat eating friends said taste better than the meat dishes! I absolutely love the vegetarian orange and general tso chicken. This is finally a Chinese place that is really really good in Columbia. The flavors are good, the time between order and ready is barely 10 minutes, and they seem genuinely pleased to have your business. I ordered the General Tso and Steamed Dumplings and both tasted great. The General Tso had good flavor with the right spiciness, and the dumpling sauce was quite good though I was surprised it was a little sour. This place is right next to the Harris Teeter that's hidden behind guildford rd. There's also a pizza shop, a cvs, a wine store, a McDonalds, and a restaurant called Corner Stable. p.s. I used to live in Baltimore County where there are plenty of good chinese places, but in Columbia, a good chinese place is extremely rare. Likely do to pf changs being stiff competition. This place should be called Worst hunan! Me and my daughter decided to try this place for dinner as my son was in a tutor class. Place was empty 6 pm, lady that met us was nice . My daughter ordered chicken lomein and since i was in Thai mood ( big mistake) ordered the Red chicken curry When the food came, i asked her what mine was and she said " red curry". BUT, we've tried Best Hunan twice lately, in a pinch, and it has been excellent. Szechuan Pork tonight, Chicken w/ Garlic Sauce and Broccoli, Hot and Sour (much improved) and Singapore Noodles. This place is good for two reasons. It's cheap and it is right by my crib. It's a small restaurant but pretty clean. It's always empty in here but that is good if your dining in because the service is always tip top. They actually have both chinese and thai dishes here so there is a little more variety then a normal chinese restaurant. I like the won ton soups and pu pu platters. We also get singapore noodles every now in then when we want to kick in a little spice. I also like the fact that they leave the hot mustard and duck sauce on your table for the entirety of the meal. Grabbed carry out from here tonight on a whim. Our kitchen is being renovated and we are getting desperate to have an actual meal. This was my first time ordering here and I ordered myself the Red Thai Curry (which was not red it was more of a white looking sauce) and it was nasty! It was really sweet with some spices, not what you would expect for good Thai food. Shame on me for ordering Thai from a Chinese restaurant. The chicken tasted and felt undercooked and I didn't even eat the meal. For my husband I ordered the General Tso's chicken. He was not a fan...they were over needed pieces of not so fresh chicken . Great place for flavorful Chinese! Upsides: food is fresh and flavorful. The price is standard for the portion size and location. Wait time for food is perfect! Love the fact that I don't have to use soy sauce or salt, as the food is always tasty! Downsides: service is average but friendly. We had to get the servers attention when my wife wanted a glass of water. The ambiance leaves something to be desired but is on par with the price level of the restaurant. My last visit (tonight) I ordered Hunan Beef (extra spicy), my wife ordered Kung Pao Chicken. Both were very good but mine was only "mildly" spicy (keep in mind that I consider a habanero a "moderately hot" pepper and a jalapeño is like candy). We travel here frequently (12 miles from our home) and have other options with Chinese. This restaurant by far, is the best Chinese we know of in the area. Customer service for me is and should be number one especially if you are spending money.. I was recommended to this restaurant from a co-worker. I had some time since I couldn't find the menu online I went inside to check the place out. Aside from feeling rushed by a middle aged woman at the register after telling her I needed a few minutes she still insisted on getting my order. I finally ordered chicken wings and fries. The total was $6 and some change. I asked if there was a minimum for debit cards and instead of answering she goes you don't have any money?? I'm like what is the minimum and finally she says $5..then I ask why did it matter if I had cash if that was the minimum and she basically ignores my question. I finally get my food after about 15 minutes. I asked for salt which they didn't have and ketchup that was actually not even real ketchup. My chicken had so much grease when I bit inside the chicken the grease just dripped all over my clothes. I let the chicken sit on napkins to soak I the grease. The chicken wasn't crunchy to be considered fried. What a disappointment..I will NOT return!! Maybe other food there is good but I wasn't satisfied!! read more

Keep looking for decent Chinese food in the area. Ordered tonight, Kung Pao, Lemon Chicken, and General Tso's. Egg rolls aren't seasoned particularly well, and none of their components really taste like what they are... cabbage, shrimp, etc. but they don't totally taste like cardboard either. Hot and sour soup was decent... again, a little weak on flavor, but the more I ate, the more I liked it. The fried rice that it came with had very little flavor, and that includes the frozen carrots/peas. Lemon chicken was fried/breaded well, the lemon sauce was decent, but very harsh, like typical lemon juice that you get from the store. Not even served with a real lemon. Kung pao was tasteless, using frozen broccoli chunks, chicken slightly on the soggy side, and a very oily sauce. General Tso's shared the sauce problem, and again, had a relatively weak taste. read more

I love the "chicken on a stick" here. No overly sweet sauce, like other places. The shrimp spring rolls are also good, with a decent amount of shrimp in the filling.
