A girlfriend and I decided to get our nails done, her treat. I was ecstatic because it had been a while. Well this was not a great experience for me. I have been a client before in the past and they aren't the best out there but they were always my go to whenever I need to get like a quick you know full set. I'll go there before an event or whatever or like some celebration, I'd go there you know just to get it done real quick. It's in the neighborhood is by my house, but this time around my friend had paid for it and she had to leave early due to the fact that she was finished already and her set was $50. Well they charged me $85 and she took five dollars off so she gave me the whole set for $75 dollars which to me is still a lot because my friend had to leave and she already prepaid everything after my friend left she just completely stopped doing everything that you're supposed to do. None of the steps were correct. She have asked everything you could see. She didn't even cut my cuticles. She didn't prep the nail. She didn't file the nail. She didn't shape the nail she basically just like like really I could've glued some nails on that looked better than these and right now they're feeling wobbly my cuticles. You can see a hangnail right there on the right hand or like all the glue is all over me she, my nails are still dirty underneath she did me dirty because it was already prepaid. I understand it was late and I was the last customer, but that's not right. This is still your work and I still am a paid customer and that wasn't fair just because it was prepaid. She either had something personal against me. I know she was tired but still this is your work and really though I really feel like if I did not pay first, she would've done a better job and that to me was disrespectful and a slap in the face and unprofessional or she just isn't that great which I don't believe she said she's been doing it for 10 years and I don't believe that 10 years your work would look so bad. I could've glued some press on on my fingers and have them look way better than these disappointing. It's unfortunate because I really really really loved that little hole in the wall nail salon that was near my house that I always would go to every now and then $85 for this lady you're nuts you're disrespectful you robbed my friend. read more

Called earlier same day & scheduled an appt for 1pm, didn't get seen til 2:10pm. By the time I was getting my nails done, the nail tech was rushing because they were accepting more walk-ins. I had asked for a gel manicure. The pictures don't show but the color is so uneven. After she was done, she gave me a "hand massage" with a SMALL AMOUNT of lotion, all while wearing RUBBER GLOVES. I've never had a manicure just to end up with DRY, CRACKED HANDS by the time the nail tech was "finished." There was so much nail polish smudges all over my fingers, backs of my hands, & palm. But she padded my hands & said "all done." Then rushed to help give a mani to somebody who was getting a pedi. When it came time to PAY (& tip her) for my nails, I showed her how MESSY & DRY my nails were. & she FINALLY started cleaning the smudges & grabbed the oil to give me a hand massage... yea, very disappointed. I've been going to Best Nails for about 4-5 years and lately I've been getting bad service. The owner embarrassed my mom in front of some people telling her they would change her $10 more because her pedicure will take longer. This is not the right way to tell it to consumers. She could at least talk to my mom somewhere where no one can hear. That Saturday I got my nails done for my cousins wedding the next day. On Sunday my GEL nails cracked and they looked bad! I've been going here for a long time and all I can say is these ladies are doing an awesome job. The moment you stepped in the ladies will greet you with smile and let you feel you're a family. I ran a very tight shift so I cannot always call ahead for an appointment. I get off at 5:00 and call to see if they can still take me for Gel Manicure & Foot Spa, which they will always take time for me. If not, the same day the following day is ok too. It's best to go in early during the day if you can. If you make an appointment on Fridays and Saturdays make sure to make it on time because those are the busiest days for them. And if you arrive late it delays everything or someone will take your spot. What I like here most is that they properly sterilized their instruments and use fresh new disposable items for each customer. (They throw away the other items that are disposable after each use). I love the massage chair and being seated there while I soaked by feet. Snoring is ok haha I guessed when you feel that relaxed you dozed off. Too many choices for nail colors. My favorite is the "mood", I forgot how they exactly call it but it changes its color depending on the weather. You can appreciate this more in the Winter time than Summer time. They also have a private room for waxing & facials. Making an appointment is good so the ladies can plan and arrange their time slots. Parking is not a problem in this area too! I can't say how much I love my nails it's hard to find some nail technicians that know how to do dip powder nails and let me say Lee does not disappoint!! I went here because I was referred by a friend and boy was she not kidding on how of a good job she does!! Not only she knows exactly what she is doing but has pre cut aluminum foils for your nails ready! And the best selection in colors for dip powder nails! I'm so happy she really knows what she is doing! And reassured me that they would not break! Which most nails salons don't. Another major plus they really care about customer service they try their best to remember your name! So we live in the area and never really paid too much attention to Best Nails. BUT having got out nails done at another shop in Newark, me and my mom came in to get our gel nails removed. But my mom wound up getting a regular manicure and I got my eyebrows waxed. My mom enjoyed her's a lot, loving taking it off and getting her nails done. I went in a separate room to get my eyebrows waxed. The woman did a very good job, listening to exactly what I wanted (cleaned up and my eyebrows trimmed). My mom's nails came out very clean and good. The prices were very good and the decor was very simple and nice. The ladies were very very nice. The shop was very relaxing, not too many people and very clean. I would definitely recommend to anyone and I for sure will be back read more

I came in at 6:15 and they close at 7. Although there are only 2 workers, they get the job done fast and they don't rush or do a sloppy job. I got a full set and a pedi, and both ladies took their time with me and did a neat job. Usually when you go close to closing time, the workers talk shit about you and rush and do a sloppy job, but this place is different. 2 other customers actually came in after me and they helped them too. Best results I have ever gotten! Professional staff and fair prices. The décor is really nice as well. I have been going to this place since I was 14 years old and I have not stopped goin ever since. They recently remodled the place and it looks even better than before. The staff is very small, about 4 people at the same time but there is usually not a wait. I've been coming to best nails since I was younger. They've gotten better over the years with the decor and the staffing. They have so many options and colors for gel manicures. The pedicures aren't rushed and the pricing is cheap in my opinion in comparison to other shops. I always just walk in and the wait is never more than 10 minutes. My nails always last for a little more than 2 weeks which is the longest I've ever had them last without chipping or coming off, so it's worth it trying this place out! read more

I went in to get my fake nails removed and to get a manicure. After waiting about 20 mins, I got sat. She attempted to remover my nails, and then questioned me on why I was even getting them removed. She cut my thumb nail thinking it was the fake one and completely ruined it! Continued on to blaming me! One to my other hand, cut down my nail sooo short it cut the meat of my finger. Rushed through the rest and left the nails all uneven, so I asked if she could fix them.
