We've been getting pedicures here for years but had not in several months. Tonight, both my daughter and I showed up at 6:50 and they happily took us even though they were closing in 10 minutes. Called ahead and asked what a kids mani pedi with gel was and was quoted $30. Got here and was chastised for my choice in gel because of UV damage. Ok really the kids play outside all day. Besides the chemicals are worse. Any way as I looked over their small selection of gel I felt like leaving. I'm glad because the girls weren't even gonna get the massage chairs for $35 really? So I havent had a pedicure in awhile - okay a long long while but I've not been happy with any if the spa and nail places in Wesley chapel for quite some time. My wonderful thoughtful husband wanted to treat me to a pedi and asked me to pick a place - pretty please. I hadn't tried best nails so I took a gamble and did a walk in on a Saturday afternoon. I was surprised. I was greeted warmly, picked my color, and whisked away for my pedi treatment. A sweet young lady named Kim took excellent care of me. She was warm and conversational and did a great job on my "claws". An hour after I hit the door my previously crusty feet were transformed into petal-soft wonders. Went in for an eye brow was was seen within 5 min! I've been to many places and the lady who did my brows sure knew what she was doing. Knowing your name does not equal great service. This place has high turnover of technicians which should speak volumes about the owners and for you as a repeat customer. Additionally, they do not appreciate your business as I was told I was too picky and my go to person did not want to take of me any longer but I was welcome to see someone else. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and polite. They were busy due to the coming holiday, but went out of their way to accommodate us. My favorite manicurist left the area so I'm on a quest for her replacement. I read a review that spoke highly of Don and Lily. Don answered the phone so I made the appointment with him. He's a nice enough guy, professional. I brought my own polish. When Don finished the normal polish I saw him put my bottle in his tray, to get it out of the way. He went to the back of the shop and someone else did a design on my toe. When it came time to pay and tip I was told that Don left. Okay, stuff happens, but now I felt awkward with the tipping. I asked the nail painter to split with Don. Now I'm home and I remember my favorite polish. I drive back to the store it's not there. They called Don and he said that he put it into my purse. I did find it at in my bottomless pit. I was very upset that someone opened my bag without first asking. He should have either asked if it's okay or handed it to me. Now that it's the next day I'm not as upset about it. At this time I don't if I'll go back to Best Nail. read more

I started going to Best Nails about 4 years ago when I moved to Wesley Chapel. Although it is small and not as clean/updated as many of the other shops in the area I really liked the way the owner Don did my nails. However, after awhile every time I would call to schedule an appointment with Don, his rude wife, Lily, would answer the phone and tell me he was not available and that I would need to come back another day. After this, I even offered to have another nail tech, Heidi, start doing my nails in Don's place when he wasn't "available" for my appointments that I made days in advance. Eventually Lily started turning me away for both Don and Heidi so I took my business else where. I tried them again for the first time 2 weeks ago and walked right in and Don did my nails and it was empty. Sunday I went in for a quick repair of a broken nail without an appointment and I was told to come back later or the next day. I wasn't able to make it in later or the next day due to work and I never made an appointment to do so knowing I wouldn't be able to make it. This morning I called to make an appointment with Don and Lily answered and told me to come any time and that they are open until 7. I told her I only want Don and she was very rude to me and told me I never come in when I make my appointments. I told her I have NEVER not showed for an appointment and she started arguing with me!! She is the main reason I stopped going here - she needs to stay in the back or out of the shop because she has no personality and is very rude to paying customers. There are plenty of nail salons in the area to chose from which are much nicer with much larger color selections and wayyyyy better customer service so back to those I go!! Never again going here!! read more
