Long post regarding our treatment today from NOAHS BARK GROOMING. First let me say this was Bella's…read more4th visit there. Only had a minor issue one time prior with her coming home really scared. Well today she had an appointment at 1:00 pm for her grooming. Dropped her off at 12:45 and I was told it would be an hour, hour and a half and normally they are sooner than that and we get a call to pick her up. So instead of wasting gas coming back to the west side my son and I stayed in the NE heights. I ended up messaging through FB messenger asking about Bella and no reply (until after I picked her up). So I called and Noah was so rude and condescending and it was embarrassing as I was on Bluetooth with my son and my son kept looking at me like what the heck. I was in disbelief with the way I was being talked to. I told Noah the same as I typed here. How long i was told it would be and I was calling to check because I was concerned because of the one time Bella didn't do too well. He immediately got defensive and said they had another appointment at 12:30 that took longer than expected. I said when I dropped off Bella nobody was there and no other dogs and that should've been communicated to me that they were running behind and I wouldn't have gotten concerned if they told me it was going to be longer. All well trying to get this out of my mouth, his tone was rising with me and interrupting me. So I let him and asked him are you really taking this tone with me, I'm just checking on my dog. He first told me, he was sorry I was having a bad day, that they are busy and his son was in the back washing another dog when I dropped off Bella and didn't appreciate me calling him a liar because he is a pastor and they are having a busy day and getting ready to go to Washington (not sure what that has to do with me) I told him I never called him a liar and didn't appreciate him talking to me the way he was and also that I am NOT having a bad day. I told him if he's busy since it has been 2 1/2 hours I would go get Bella. He then said you must pay for services and I told him I will pay for what she received as I never said I wasn't going to pay. He ended the call with God bless you in a rude manner. I did talk to my son as I raise him in the church that we don't use God bless you to anyone in a manner or the tone he did. Fast forward... Pick up Bella (video in post) I recorded as I was concerned with the way he was talking to me. As you can see in some of the pictures my son is scratched up bad and I am too. In the video you can hear my son at first excited for Bella and then hear him start to cry after he got scratched. I asked about her nails being cut. The groomer a woman I will say is very nice and explained that she couldn't cut any lower on her nails. I did tell her this has never happened in the 3 years we've had her with issues with her nails. Then I get charged and the price went up. I asked if they changed the prices and they said yes, which I wasn't aware but I paid and NO I didn't leave a tip. I believe paying $47.00 was already too much for the service I received today. Back to the message I sent on fb to check on Bella. The owner then replied nicely, like nothing happened. I did write him and advise him that Bella's face was still dirty and her nails cut my son. He then denied it writing, we recognize none of that is true! I sent him pictures of my arm and my son. I am ok with my scratch but my son was scratched up pretty bad to where it made him cry, in Noah's place of business. So deny that, I sent him pictures of the scratches and my dogs face and his response was God bless you my sister we mean that! Don't use being a pastor or a christian to deny the crappy service we got. Not only was I demeaned by this man verbally, we didn't get the services I paid full price for. He also mentioned tear stains would need to be diagnosed by a vet. Well groomers would know that my breed of dog it's a natural process for them and that's why I get her groomed. Nothing is medically wrong with her. I added a picture at the end when she's been groomed and her face is clean. I will NOT be going back to this groomer for his lack of professionalism and using being a pastor to defend his business that no wrong was done here, or give him an excuse to talk to me the way he did.

Daniel's Pet Makeover did a wonderful job with our two Pomeranians today!…read more This is the first time we've tried Daniel's and we were very pleased. Daniel was very accommodating, getting our dogs in on the day we had asked for, agreeing to use the shampoo we use on our Bella's sensitive skin, and made sure to protect Buddy's ears as we asked. Our dogs came home looking great! They were tired from a busy day out at the spa and looking like a million bucks! We'd definitely recommend Daniel. He's in a small, sort of tucked away shopping center near Little Caesar's on Paradise, but he's happy to give detailed directions so call and give him a chance. I think you'll be as happy as we are today.

And, I'm shocked it's not already on Yelp?!?!?…read more Arysta took on my hound's abandoned nails (I'm not really a bad dad) and she's got his nails already back under control and looking/feeling great! We had him on a two week nail trimming cycle and now, she's backed me off to just once a month. And, all for $10 bucks a visit. Who charges only $10 for anything anymore?? No one...except Arysta. She's clearly running a business of love...love for the animals and a love for what she does...clearly!!! They have a plethora of additional services from dog grooming to day and over night stays. During my last visit, Arysta threw in and put on a decorative Christmas bandana for my whippet which probably cost more than the clipping itself. That's the type of thoughtful service you just don't see very often...100% genuine sincerity...and nothing else!!! Bookmark this business - you won't be disappointed!! Jax Pet Services is multi-multi, five star award receiver on that "other" site :D. Well done and enjoy!!!

My partner and I recently adopted an adorable and sweet Pitbull/German Sheperd Mix from this…read moreshelter. Though the inside was not very nice, I know that the staff do their best to take care of the animals. The place looks pretty standard for an animal shelter, sterile and much like jail. I was glad to take my dog out of there. I'm assuming the aesthetics of the place has much to do with funding. What I really appreciate is the fact that all of the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. My partner was the one who picked out the dog and I was running from a play performance to meet her before they closed. I came right before closing time and was graciously accommodated. The shelter paid for the spaying, all vaccines, tags and microchipping of our doggy before they let her go home with us. I'm very thankful for all that. We both feel very lucky to have the dog that we got.

I adopted Povi from Fat Katz last Christmas and I'm so glad I found her. Povi is a little fuzzy…read moreangel. She is so cute and playful and she's extremely well socialized. She's also super affectionate and loves making biscuits; you could pet her till your arm fell off and she'd still want more. It took about 7 months for her to begin getting along with my other cat, Sammy. Totally his fault - he wasn't socialized at all so now he's a bit nuts and a can be jealous bully. I highly recommend Fat Katz the next time you're looking to adopt.

We have quite a menagerie of animals... cats, a dog, chickens and goats. Dennis is always reliable, responsible, and quick to respond to our requests. He has even helped us out at the last minute a couple of times and also during a snow storm last winter! Our animals are always well cared for while we are away. Their rates are very reasonable. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high quality pet care in the east mountains.
