Nice little coffee shop just on the outskirts of the village in downtown Tosa. Nice selection of coffee options and some simple pastries. They also do have a few breakfast sandwiches available. The star of the show here is the cute little patio tucked away in the back. Ample shade for you to post up for work, peacefully read a book or catch up with friends. They do have some outdoor seating in the front of the coffeeshop as well. Overall, a quaint little spot for a pleasant morning. read more

Stopped by Anodyne on my way to the airport and I absolutely loved this place. I visited back in August and opted for the back patio seating, and it instantly became one of my favorite coffee spots. As a smaller coffee bar, their interior offers an atmosphere that is quaint, cozy, and perfect for any solo visitors. They've got a great range of coffee and pastry options; and my latte was delicious. The barista was friendly and welcoming, as well as all of the other locals there. If I'm ever back in Milwaukee, I will definitely be stopping by again! read more

First time at Anadyne. This is what a expect from a good coffee shop. Personal and friendly baristas, a good selection of coffees, lattes and teas, a reasonable offering of various fresh baked items and pastries, and a subdued atmosphere where you can have a quiet conversation. This location is medium size shop, with a long bar like counter for ordering. It has some natural light from large windows in the front, and some more windows in the rear. You can find seating both inside at small tables, or outside on cafe size tables. (the back is secluded which would be nice on a warmer day). On this visit, I ordered a London Fog Latte, and tried one of their fresh Cinnamon Knots with Icing. They did a great job with the London Fog (little vanilla, little lavender, extra foam). First time trying the Cinnamon Knot, which they warmed up. I really enjoyed all of the dough layers, with generous amounts of cinnamon. (The icing itself was more of a distraction, it was hard and simply flaked off). From the looks/sounds of things, there are many regulars that stop in for quick up or mug refill. Lots of friendly chatter happening throughout. It appears to be a local favorite. Would definitely come back. read more

What a gem of a spot! If you're not familiar with Anodyne coffee--it's wonderful. Their espresso is rich and clean with just the right amount of kick. This location is adorable. The folks that work here are absolutely lovely in every way. The space inside is impeccably clean and comfortable. However, the star of the show? Their patio out back. You'll find yourself surrounded by lush green as you sip one of their delectable beverages and maybe enjoy one of their baked goodies (a blueberry muffin, perhaps?). I love Anodyne! I've been to the other 2 locations, but this was the first time at the Tosa location. Coffee is great as always. I had the iced americano since we were sitting outside on a humid/hot day, but hubby likes his hot coffee on a mug. they have outside sitting both in the front and the back - the back is super cute. It seems to butt into the neighbor's backyard, without a fence or anything... we saw a simple grill hanging around the neighbor's side and thought it might be a little awkward for him to grill when there are customers in the cafe patio. Coincidentally, on the other side of that house is the back patio of a new restaurant (which I don't think is open yet - "Draft & Vessel). Maybe it's not a residence after all... I don't know. Anyway, the back patio is quaint and cute. There are stairs leading to a parking lot off in the back. Everything was very green and lush in May 2022. Great coffee, great atmosphere, oh, and the staff were super nice too. What more can you ask for? read more

I quick stopped in the other afternoon for a "pick-me-up" and have been dying to try an espresso tonic. The person working the register said they recommended the flavor of the month, orange dreamsicle, so I gave it a try. It took a few sips to understand what was happening in my mouth but I became obsessed the more sips I took. The bubbles from the tonic made it incredibly refreshing and it really tasted like a dreamsicle (with a hint of espresso)! Not a coffee drinker but I was sent to buy a bag of coffee for a gift. Very cute space with plenty of seating and clean as a whistle. The young women working today were very kind and knowledgeable. They helped me pick out something that I hope my mom will love. I even bought a drink because why not! My new fave place to do work when the weather is nice. The patio is peaceful and relaxing, with plenty of shade cover on a sunny day and lots of tables. Love that the patio is also dog friendly! I'm really glad to have another option other than Starbucks within walking distance of the Tosa village. This locations has a simple layout with plenty of seating. The service is fast and friendly. Little known fact ( they should probably put a sign out front about this) is that you can access the shop from the Tosa public parking off of 76th street / Wauwatosa as it heads down the hill towards the railroad tracks. There's a small outdoor seating area behind the store as well. read more

Friendly employees!!!!! Happy employees almost always means a good experience! It was true in my case :) I ordered a medium almond milk latte and it was wonderfully smooth and was a great temperature. I don't like super, super hot lattes - I should be able to drink it with caution when I pick up the drink!! The design inside is super cute. Bonus points for a clean, calming cement color on the walls. I walked up the back stairs this morning and loved the patio! The tables were so cute and it's a really nice setting!! The only reason why I put 4 stars is it would have been really nice if the back patio was handicap accessible from the building (I'm not asking for a ramp from the parking lot - just one from the building to the patio). People with mobility impairments should have the ability to experience the back patio too, not just from looking out from the store. Perhaps the owners/managers will get a nice portable ramp ;) read more
