It is not a spot i would have picked but it was better than i thought. Checkin was quick and easy. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. They have a TV, microwave, fridge, iron and safe in the room. It is pretty quiet at night also. They had breakfast in the morning but I did not partake as the training started early and they had breakfast. The shower was good too. There are also plenty of restaurants and shopping in walking distance. They even have an outdoor pool. One downside was no workout room. The towels and beds are only done on the 3rd day unless you request otherwise. Staff was friendly. I would recommend it for a brief visit or if you need a room. It was good for a brief stay. If I was in the area again I may stay as there does not seen to be many other locations around. Overall it was ok.

The first thing we're told is that there aren't any roll away beds left. To compensate, they're waiving the $20 pet fee. That's all good and great, but now three people will have to share one bed. The room is dirty - questionable stains on the lower mattress cover, mold on the shower curtain, cobwebs in the corner of the shower, shredded chair/disgusting carpet, and the whole room reeks of stale cigarette smoke. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. The only reason we're staying here is because we're in town for a wedding and a block of rooms was reserved for the wedding guests. Never, ever again. The only positive is that it's pet friendly and there's a nice area for the dogs to run.

My husband ran into the lobby to grab a key, and was met with instant attitude. Programming a key is hard work I guess...let's go to Saturday morning. The hotel puts on a beautiful breakfast. My sister in law wanted iced coffee, so she brought a hotel provided cup to the bar and asked for ice. Again, was met with an attitude from the same worker. Was told she can get ice on floors 2,4, and 6. Again, i guess giving a guest some ice is rough work. Sunday she made sure to bring her own bucket of ice down to breakfast. Now let's go to the bar. My in laws went to the bar and asked for a manhattan. Guess who's bartending? Little miss attitude! Instead of nicely explaining the cocktails are premade, and they don't have manhattans, she went on a rant about how she's supposed to run the front desk, make food, and drinks, and coffee, and do it all herself. In my opinion, this lady should not be the face of your hotel. Doing her job is too much to ask from her. She ruined our experience, and next time we come to Lansing, we will look for a different hotel where we don't feel like a nuisance to someone that's supposed to be hospitable to your guests. On the second night, the same group was gathered outside the hotel entrance as we returned. People are having sex in their vehicles. Their presence made the environment feel unsettling. I brought my concerns to the front desk, and the employee acknowledged that these individuals are frequently in the area around this hotel and the neighboring hotels. I checked out early because of these issues. While I appreciated the honesty, I was disappointed that there didn't seem to be any effort to address the situation or reassure guests about their safety. A hotel should provide guests with a secure and welcoming environment from the moment they arrive until they leave. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. I hope management takes steps to improve security and create a safer atmosphere for future guests.

Got to the hotel and up to our room and the room was not fully cleaned. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and finger prints on the stainless steel refrigerator. The worst thing was the floors - the grout is BLACK throughout the hotel. Absolutely filthy. You can see some parts up against the trim and in corners where it is a light gray and what the color should be. There were also visible stains on the carpet in our room. Tried to get the dishwasher going and couldn't do so. Ended up having to call maintenance who then had to call someone else. Our room was poorly stocked. No sponge, no extra toilet paper, no extra dishwasher detergent, no shampoo or body wash in the shower dispensers. At one point during our stay our kid got sick on one of the beds. We stripped the sheets and called housekeeping. They arrived quickly but when I asked for new towels we were told they don't have any more. I still don't understand how that is possible at a hotel. We traveled with small children and many of the kids channels on the tv did not work due to "no internet access". Chrome cast also didn't work. One of the two tv remotes was out of batteries. You really can just see the half hearted attempted to keep the place running. And possibly what they did to finish building. A family member stayed at the same hotel in a different room and she had a different shower head than us which had no water pressure. The furniture is bolted to the walls with L brackets secured to the outside of the furniture and the wall. We all showered and washed everything that was in the hotel as soon as we got home. Spare yourself and find a different hotel.
