Shower curtain rod falling off the wall

Pros: - Next to restaurants and a 7/11. - The AC works very well. - Room service tidies up pretty well and is polite. Cons: - Room is outdated, looks like its from the 90s. - TV is old and doesn't allow for smart phone connection. - Mattress is disgusting with multiple burn marks. - Carpet is dirty. - Bathroom is decrepit. Rust and grime on the metal hardware of the tub. Shower curtain rod is broken and makes the actual curtain sag into the tub (the curtain itself is disgusting and also falling apart). The water sprinkler on the ceiling in the bathroom is covered in rust. - There's no hand soap for the sinks. The pumps were empty so I had to buy my own. - The microwave has no light in it. I give my stay here a 1/5, which is generous enough. For the price I paid to stay here, I'm severely disappointed in what was provided. I feel ripped off, never staying here again. Don't waste your money coming here.

    The tub very spacious 11/10/21

The dude and I stayed here on 11/10/21 which was a day before Veteran's Day. We usually stay at the Best Western Heritage Inn in Danville, Ca however due to us needing to be close to the dude's family and the funeral home we stayed here. I didn't have the opportunity to go into the lobby as I was pretty exhausted from the long car ride and just wanted to go to the room and freshen up as we were on a time crunch to get to the local funeral home. Anywho, the dude and I were very surprised of how spacious this room was! It was very huge. It seriously had like a kitchenette area with a sink. Vanity area of course had its' own sink right next to the bathroom. The bathroom was very spacious along with the spa like tub they had which was nice. It was very clean, bed was comfortable but the only negative was that the shower water would be ice cold, barely warm, then ice cold and SURPRISE scorching HOT which it was not at all consistent. I was not a fan of the shower experience at all -not enjoyable. Even tried at different times and equaled the same experience. Not the end of the world but not comfortable. They do not have a hot breakfast only cold items like cereal, muffins, yogurt and juices. I did enjoy the greek yogurt they had and the cranberry juice. The location had several eateries nearby which look like stellar places to walk and dine and have a cocktail or two. I didn't have any encounters with staff at all but all of our needs were taken care of. I did forget my princess tooth brush :( which Best Western was so gracious to provide us one free of charge with a small packet of tooth paste (which I did pack everything except my toothbrush -__-). It was a pleasant 3 day and 2 night stay although we were not really at the hotel for most of the time due to the family gatherings, dinners and paying respects to the dude's relatives. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, clean, yummy snacks for breakfast, we felt safe and large rooms! Overly spacious. Since we have AAA we got a really great rate too!

Our stay didn't quite go as planned, but I still wanted to leave a review because great customer…read moreservice deserves to be recognized. We checked in after a fun day at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, and everything was smooth and welcoming. After heading out for dinner, a widespread power outage hit the area. Unfortunately, the hotel was affected as well. We waited for a couple of hours hoping the power would come back on, but eventually decided to check out. The outage itself wasn't anyone's fault, and that's not why I'm writing this review. What stood out to me was how the hotel staff handled an unexpected situation that was completely beyond their control. A special thank you to Maddie (or Madelyn) at the front desk. She was juggling what I'm sure was a very stressful evening, yet she remained patient, professional, and genuinely kind to everyone she helped. It's easy to provide good service when everything is going smoothly--it's much harder when things go wrong. She handled it with grace, and it did not go unnoticed. Thank you to Maddie and the rest of the team for doing your best under difficult circumstances. Wishing you all much calmer days ahead!

So many things went wrong during our stay. I booked through a third-party website (Vio), but upon…read morearrival, the hotel informed me that Vio had only sent over a reservation for one king bed. When I contacted Vio, they never confirmed that information had been communicated correctly to the hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel staff made no effort to resolve the issue and offered no apology for the inconvenience. To make matters worse, the front desk host simply handed us our room keys with no directions or explanation about the property. He also failed to provide the breakfast vouchers that were supposedly included with our reservation, forcing me to return to the front desk to ask for them myself. The following morning at checkout, I asked about breakfast and was told it had already closed at 11 a.m. No one had informed us where breakfast was served or what the operating hours were. We rushed to the restaurant, where Lia kindly greeted us. She asked for our breakfast vouchers, only to discover we were supposed to have one voucher per person or have the number of guests documented on the voucher. Thankfully, after verifying the situation, Lia still allowed us to take breakfast to go. She was the only staff member throughout our stay who was genuinely kind and helpful. Overall, the staff -- including the manager -- came across as rude and dismissive. We were also placed in an ADA room that I never requested. Not only were we shorted a bed, but the room itself felt old and poorly maintained. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were completely flat. Because it was an ADA room, the shower had no ledge to contain the water, causing the entire bathroom floor to flood every time we showered. When I brought this concern to the manager's attention, I was told this was "normal" and that there should have been a drain in the middle of the bathroom floor -- there wasn't. The only drain was inside the shower area itself. Additionally, another family member in our group booked directly through the hotel by phone and was promised both a rollaway bed and breakfast. Upon arrival, they were told neither was included because it was not listed on the confirmation. As a result, our kids had to sleep on the floor. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. I will never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others.

When I first walked in the room, I could immediately smell that it had been cleaned yet it did not give off any chemical smell - I am very sensitive to chemical odors and can get headaches from them. The sheets, linens, shower, and surfaces all appeared very clean. The only minus, which is why I took away a star, was some of the utensils in my kitchen area had very visible food remnants on them and one of the knives had a large thumbprint, so I made sure to take utensils from the breakfast area instead and did not feel comfortable using any of the dish-ware or drink-ware either, given the state of the utensils. This was very gross but overall I was impressed with the overall cleanliness. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and made check in a breeze. The spaciousness of the room itself was wonderful and I found everything to be very comfortable. I had been able to pick out my room in advance on the app and chose a corner room on the top floor - it was very quiet despite it's proximity to the freeway. The room was dark overall but the only issue was the outlet in the bathroom had a nightlight built in which could not be turned off! I had to stack a couple things in front of it to block out the light that was very close to the bed. I stayed at 3 hotels on my fall break trip and this one had by far the best quality and best variety of free breakfast options. I really appreciate having this. As a young single woman, I felt very safe in the neighborhood when walking into the hotel late at night. I hadn't realized when booking the hotel that it was actually across the street from the apartments my brother and his family used to live in - so I knew upon arrival it was a very safe area. I would absolutely stay here again and felt the value was there for the price I paid.

The room was huge! It had a cute little kitchen setup with a dining table, a comfy corner couch in the living area, and two separate bedrooms, which made it feel more like an apartment than a hotel. One room had a queen bed, a good-sized closet with wired shelving, and a super spacious bathroom with the sink area outside the bathroom, always a win when you're trying to get ready without fighting over space. The second bedroom had a king bed, its own walk-in shower, and the same setup with the sink outside the bathroom and open to the room, which made it super easy to multitask (aka watch TV while doing my makeup). The space overall was clean, functional, and comfortable. But my biggest complaint? That awful showerhead. It was grimy, leaking, and had the weakest water pressure. Definitely a letdown in an otherwise great room.... especially when a good shower is one of my top hotel priorities. The bathroom had the potential to be a vibe, but the shower situation totally killed it.

The staff were always very friendly and accommodating. There were a couple of times we had a lot of clarifying questions and they never made us feel like we were annoying them. Even when we checked out, I double checked the pet fee after having paid and left already. They had accidentally overcharged me, as I had stayed for less time than the price I had paid. I called them up to inquire about it, and they were able to resolve the issue and refunded me the difference. Overall, the hotel was pretty clean for accommodating pets. I think this hotel seems to have a lot of smells from food that people bring it or of cleaning products. Even in our room, it seemed the room held on to smells for a long time, and despite having the air circulating or the window open, it was hard to get rid of the scents. It also seems other reviewers have mentioned some bedbug or other creepy crawly concerns, but we did not see any for the whole month we were there. We had a studio sort of room, so it was a large space that included the bed, a small living room with the couch, dining table, and kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a microwave that also can be an oven, an electric stove, and a nice sized refrigerator. They include the basic utensils for eating and cooking, bowls, plates, cups, mugs, pans, pots, colander. There is a coffee maker, as well. They provide you with dishwashing soap but it is not of great quality as it doesn't bubble. There is no sponge they provide to wash your dishes. They do have some dishwasher detergent for the dishwasher they also have in the unit. It seems they do not do room service unless you specifically request/schedule for it. It's probably because they have pets and they need you to have your pet out of the room when they service it. Parking is free, and they provide you with a parking pass to leave on your dashboard. They have a 24/7 gym with a few key equipment, including 2 ellipticals, 1 stationary bike, 1 non-functioning Peloton bike, 3 treadmills, bench for weights, back extension. They have wipes to clean the equipment, a water jug, and towels for your convenience. There is complimentary breakfast. It starts at 6:30 am on the weekdays, 7 am on the weekends. They have someone making custom ready-to-order omelets. They have the standard coffee and tea (coffee runs out pretty quickly in the morning since this is a busy hotel for working guets), scrambled eggs (one plain, one with veggies), sausage or bacon, potatoes, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, breads. There is a bar with a happy hour as well, but they do not have a sit-down restaurant here. Fortunately, there are many restaurants close by in Downtown Pleasant Hill. Other amenities include meeting rooms, a pool, basketball court. Overall, it was a pretty solid experience at Hyatt House!

I reserved and prepaid $977.28 through the AAA Travel website for a Premium Two King Beds room. My confirmation clearly states that I purchased a Premium Two King Beds room. Before traveling, I also called the hotel directly to verify my reservation, and I was assured everything was confirmed. Upon arrival, I was informed that my room type was no longer available. Instead of the two king beds I had reserved and paid for, I was given a room with only one king bed and a rollaway bed. I was traveling with my elderly mother and my adult daughter. Because the rollaway bed was not suitable for my daughter, my mother had to sleep on the rollaway bed for our three-night stay. This was not the room I purchased, and it significantly affected our comfort during our trip. I immediately asked whether another room was available or whether the hotel could provide a discount or other accommodation. I was told the hotel was sold out and that nothing could be done. The staff was not empathetic and repeatedly stated that because I had booked through a third party, there was nothing they could do. After returning home, I contacted the hotel again. During that conversation, I was told that I had been "bumped" because I booked through a third party and that had I booked directly through the hotel, they would have honored my reservation. I find this unacceptable. My reservation was confirmed, paid in full, and verified directly with the hotel before my arrival. Guests should not receive inferior accommodations simply because they booked through an authorized travel partner such as AAA. I respectfully request: * A partial refund for failing to provide the room category I paid for. * A written explanation as to why my confirmed reservation was not honored. * An explanation of the hotel's policy regarding confirmed reservations made through AAA and other authorized travel agencies. I have already opened a case with AAA Travel and hope this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly.

GM Katrece Raine knew that my husband and I were staying here en route to our honeymoon, and she and her team conveyed their excitement for us and made sure we felt appreciated. I score low on the sentimental scale, but I will save forever the card the staff signed for us and left in a thoughtful snack and gift basket! The hotel is so conveniently located near highways and delightful places to eat and shop. Free parking is a huge plus, as is being located within walking distance of a drugstore, grocery store, and Bank of America banking center. We had one meal nearby and one meal and drinks at the hotel restaurant. Every employee with whom we interacted was pleasant and professional, from Darius who checked us in to the folks that we passed in the hallways. Hotel pools are my jam, and this indoor pool and jacuzzi was solid. The hotel beds were comfy, and being located near the highway did not bother my husband nor me at all. We don't have cable or a TV in our bedroom at home, so let me tell you, it was a treat to chillax and watch a movie from our hotel bed. $209, tax and fees included, for one night, was a STEAL for the quality we enjoyed.
