If your like me you will stay away, stay far away! This is just a run down old motor lodge with a lot of fixin up. Kind of like putting lipstick on a pig doesn't change what it is or how it smells. Front desk staff is surly and doesn't smile. Rooms are old and have an odor to them that is unpleasant. Beds are ok but nothing to redeem all the issues. Breakfast is rotten! Just stay away from it and go to a restaurant! They 'forgot' to make up my room one morning, see the picture of my room when I got back. For business And pleasure I will choose to go elsewhere in the future. Do yourself and your family a favor spend a couple of extra bucks and have a nice stay SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Amazing staff . Like the friendliest staff I have ever meet at any place of business! I felt like I was in a movie . They not only had their fresh coffee/ cookies out but they were also offering chili ! So random but so good . The hotel had a charm about it . The interior had old pictures placed around , dating back to as early as 1920. The pictures were of the town and the building of things throughout the town . The rooms were clean and comfortable . They had a microwave and a fridge in each room ! Located rite next to a mall .

Maid service is only done every other day which we didn't realize until we came back to our unmade bed, dirty towels and no coffee. When we went downstairs to get our water we were told the two bottles of water were free but if we wanted water on additional days, there would be a charge. The place is in serious need of an update. The breakfast was abysmal. We ordered a veggie omelet and the waiter came over twice to clarify what I wanted on my omelet. What we both got was an overdone omelet stuffed with bacon, not one veggie in it. I then thought i would try the biscuit's and gravy, seriously, the biscuit could have been used to pound nails it was so hard. Every morning for three mornings I tried and they were always like rocks. They must just keep reheating the same biscuits over and over. The fruit was good, thankfully. The lobby was like a frat house. People had brought in Mexican food and were eating it all over the lobby. Kids were running everywhere, climbing on furniture and yelling. Then the traffic noise is super loud and keeps you from getting a good nights sleep, even though we had requested to be far from the street. All this for the price of nearly $250 a night. If you come to Yakima, there must be far better places to stay. I can assure you, it will be our last. The only reason I gave them two stars instead of one is the beds were fairly comfortable.

We stayed for a couple of days and at first we were intimidated by the crowded parking at night, but they have underground parking that you can access with a room key. This was great since during the day above ground was pretty hot. When we checked in the people at the desk were very friendly and they melted when they met our pups. The lobby has a snack bar/sundry/gift shop where you can purchase everything you need at reception. There's also a beautiful two sided fireplace that I'll bet is great in the winter, but they didn't light up during our visit because of the warm temps. Also in the lobby is a restaurant/sports bar. My sister enjoyed the steak while I got a salad. There was a nice chill vibe with the visitors sitting around and relaxing. The only complaint I have is that our poor server was running around as he was the waiter, bartender, and expediter while there was just one lady in the kitchen. He seemed overworked and were worried about that poor man. Our room was a very clean suite so we got 1.5 baths and a separate living room with a pullout sofa bed. It was great to be able to spread out and the wifi is very reliable. The hotel is near the conference center and the state fair grounds and there are a nice mix of restaurants and shops. There's even a nice brewery/restaurant on the next block. There were a surprising amount of grassy areas in the neighborhood to walk the dogs, but we limited the distance we walked from the hotel because there are a lot of sketchy homeless people down the block. We felt safe all around, except when we talked to some of them. We're no slouches because we've lived in sketchy neighborhoods in LA, San Francisco, Oakland, etc, but there was a weird vibe with these folks. Still I'd happily stay at this hotel again. Within the walls, it's a great setup.

My small suite was quiet, and the balcony overlooking the river was a nice place to sit. Layout wise, I didn't like how the TV was back behind the desk. I like to watch a show while eating breakfast and checking email to start the day. Bed and pillows were comfortable, which helped me feel refreshed for the next day. My co-worker and I arrived early and our rooms were not ready. That's fine, but there is no real business center for us to set up and do a couple hours of work on our laptops while we waited. Plenty of greeting room-type seating and knee-level tables, but nothing really functional. We would have had to rent a business space to get an outlet and a reasonably ergonomic table. The evening reception was very basic but nice experience. The breakfast was basic (scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a meat) with a few other things - but very salty. It is plated for you, so it takes something away from the buffet style of getting what you want. My co-worker, on the other hand, had a very unpleasant experience in a room that smelled like dirty dog trying to be covered by strong chemicals. He suffered through it because it was only one night.
