Clean and simple, plus being given one of a handful of newly built rooms, we really couldn't ask for more. Front desk staff were young and clueless about the area (we asked them for restaurant recommendations that were not fast food chains), but the space was clean, the room orderly, the indoor pool easy and the lobby breakfast plentiful.

The rooms were clean and well kept. The staff were very helpful and checked us in at 3 am to our reservation. Breakfast was delicious and very filling.

I was there last weekend for a work audit. Checked in on Friday and check out Monday. The hotel is well maintained. t The service is great! It's very clean. I saw with my own eyes how the housekeepers get on their needs and scrub without hesitation to leave those rooms clean. If that's not enough... The main reason why I got on here to leave a review is because I left behind a pair of Samsung buds. I didn't realize it until I was on the plane flying back to LA. I called and the honest housekeepers turned them in. In a few days they had arrived back to my house. They shipped them out right away. I will make sure to stay only at this hotel going forward every time I fly out there. This is by far my most pleasant experience on any hotel that I've stayed at for work reasons.

Newer facility, very clean, excellent service, SUPER IMPRESSED! This is honestly the BEST Best Western that I have ever stayed in and I travel a lot. Then the FREE breakfast through it over the top! Friendly staff making omelettes, waffles, etc. (Had me at omelettes!!!) WELL DONE owners! I will find a reason to come back.

Great hotel. Friendly and very helpful staff. One of the best breakfast experiences I have ever had in a hotel of any level.

Bad hotel! Was going to stay here for a little get away but was told they don't rent to local people. (stupid) Owner policy.

Killer ! took some extra for lunch later funny view out our window of a funky kids dental office (pic included) staff, happy to help and friendly pool, I didn't use, but looked clean/inviting. Brother used it and loved. we ordered a rollaway. and my mom has made sandwiches thicker than this mattress. And the rollaway itself was bowing..so there was this massive dip. Kind of comical. Was praying hard my brother wouldn't suffer with back ache next day. He didn't! $10 charge for a horrible rollaway. I'd visit/recommend again.

HOWEVER, there were a couple of odd expereices which cause me to deduct stars: shortly after checkin, the front desk clerk boldly unlocks and enters our room WHILE WE'RE there. No traditional knock before or any announcement and in fact caught one of us using the bathroom. Very very creepy. The other thing is that while everything looked clean, the towels and linens didn't feel laundered. they felt used and refolded. there was also a blood stain on my sheets which should never be allowed. The final nail in the coffin of this place is the A/C was extremely noisy all night. I would urge the owners to re-evaluate staff training and operations processes in order to make some quick changes which would drastically improve my review.

I've stayed here twice, now, for 2-3 days each time. For their price (under $60 after tax), and for…read moreall they have to offer, I'll give them 4 stars. Don't misunderstand that to mean a 4-star hotel! It is not.  There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance, though since many of them are across the "highway," you either have to walk a fair distance to reach a legal crosswalk, or take your chances that the Grandview police aren't looking for revenue by way of jay-walkers.  Both times I've stayed here, I've done a thorough check for bed bugs immediately upon entry, and not found any! Yay! More about the beds later...  The rooms are old and dingy, but seem to be clean. Though I could smell old, stale cigarette smoke when I first opened the door, it was almost immediately replaced with a much cleaner, very pleasant scent.  I have no idea if they have different sized beds or rooms, but both times I've stayed there, I had a pretty large room with a queen sized bed, a full sized bath, and a fridge and microwave. One of the two times, there was a quirky tiny stove/sink combo that was part of the fridge. The fridge and freezer worked perfectly, and the fridge part was larger than average for a motel room. The sink part of the concoction worked, but the stovetop was missing the coils. I don't know if it would have worked otherwise. The indicators light up when you turn the knobs. In this room (16), there's a small table with 2 padded chairs and a lamp. The TV sits on a long, low bureau that has 4 large drawers and a lamp. On one side of the bed is a night stand with 2 large drawers and a lamp. I don't recall the setup from the previous room. Also, there are power outlets, but for AC only. If you have devices requiring USB power, you'll need to bring a plug for that. They come with relatively small, but nice enough flat-screen TVs with cable. The remotes have had some issues getting the TVs to turn on, but once I turned the TV on manually, the remote mostly worked fine after that. Not always. Not sure what the issue is. They offer Wifi. I don't recall if I had any issues with it the last time I was here, but I haven't had any issues this time. Works perfectly.  They have in-wall heater/AC units. They are fairly noisy, but I like it that way. It's like built-in white noise. Helpful considering this place sits directly on Wine Country Road. In room 16, there doesn't seem to be a problem with the curtain length/placement, but in room 14, the way the air blows from the unit blows the curtains all over the place. I had to clamp them down with some clamps I happened to have with me that stay, or else those outside would have seen far more of me than they'd like!  The bathtub is a fairly decent size. Not large, but large enough to take a bath in. The water pressure is very good, but unfortunately the shower nozzle sprayer isn't adjustable, and it doesn't really provide an adequate stream with the built-in spray pattern. They would do well to replace the shower heads with newer ones - preferably even handheld ones. They do provide a small bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth, and a floor towel/mat. I would feel a lot more comfortable if they went the extra mile and bought enclosed mattress covers that protect against bed bugs, dust mites, etc... most h/motels these days are using those. This place actually doesn't even use fitted sheets. Just a large flat sheet that is tucked in. Their pillows are comfortable, but stained, and it's kind of gross. I wish those, too, were in zippered cases. I think it's a bit odd that they haven't ponied up to at least buy fitted sheets. Those aren't very expensive, and would go a long way toward the rooms seeming cleaner and more professional, even if it is just a cheap motel room. Little touches still matter.  There isn't, in fact, a swimming pool. There used to be, but it is overgrown now, and has been for as long as I've been patronizing this weird little town.  Their Vacancy sign isn't always truthful. I called one morning because it said there was a vacancy. I'm a night driver, and I needed to get to sleep. I hoped they would allow me to check-in early. But they said they didn't have any rooms available until that night. I said the Vacancy sign was lit, and they said "Yes, it will be vacant later!" It's probably a good idea to call ahead anyway. It is a friendly, family-run business, and I'm pretty sure they live on-site. Sometimes, they're out. If you call ahead, they can arrange to be here when you arrive, or at least tell you when they will be here. If you're a trucker with only a bobtail, they might accommodate you. There are a couple of places they'll allow you to part your bobtail if you're staying here. That was the first reason I ever stayed here, so they won a customer that way!  This isn't a fancy place, so please don't give a crappy review for it not being a nicer place. It's inexpensive and clean. Sometimes, that's all you need!

This is now a Travelodge by Wyndham and it is terrible. The worst place I have ever stayed!…read moreOur first room we rejected due to the strong smell of urine in a carpeted room which they tried to cover up with strong perfume. The next room shown the TV was not hooked up and there was no hot water and no coffee pot. We said we'd go out for dinner and come back and we're told things would be fixed. Apparently they flip a breaker to turn hot water on i guess to save money when less than full but They were fully booked so why would that even be a question? That was about a 20 minute process. We ran the water for over 10 minutes in each room and never got hot water. When we came back we spent another 20 minutes for them to show us the room again but when we opened the door someone else's luggage was in there! So room #2 was out. After more time we were shown a third room upstairs above where a man in a van had been harassing some young ladies and the cops were called. We tried the water and again no hot water after 10 minutes running the tub and sink full blast. Bed spreads had cigarette holes in them. The 3 rooms we saw were all very dated. That was third strike and we left with a refund. In addition the pool which is front of building was green with algae and disgusting. Clearly the owners could care less about this property. The two ladies staffing were apologetic, polite and professional and did not argue and provided a business card. Avoid any rooms with carpet and test everything. This was not a cheap room either and it was the worst I have ever seen. Do not recommend obviously

The first room I was in the coffee pot was filthy inside, the microwave and coffee pot sat on the bathroom counter so all the space was completely taken up, the wall socket for these things in the bathroom didn't work, the towels in the bathroom were dirty, there were cigarette burns in the night stand, there was no fridge and the room had the nastiest smell to it. Like a mixture of urine and cigarettes. I asked the front desk to move to another room and the lady that lived behind the front desk put me in the back half of the building because those rooms "have been remodeled". Now this room was a ton better (cleaner) but by no means was it remodeled. I could barely watch tv the thing barely worked! It had fuzzy lines bouncing around on the screen so that was fun. There was also a huge burn hole in the railing a few rooms down. The strangest thing I found about the place was a guy (that I presume is someone that works for the motel) lives in a room at the very end of the motel. The funny thing is the place doesn't allow dogs but both the front desk lady and the guy living in the end room have dogs. The pool outside is green with algae and a bunch of things on the outside of the building are just falling apart. I think the absolute worst thing about this place apart from the motel itself, is the constant commotion in the middle of the night. You hear non stop horns and bass from cars passing by, people fighting, dogs barking. Not to mention the traffic coming in and out from the Mexican restaurant that shares the parking lot with the motel. The second night I was there someone broke into the room the guy lives in and busted the door all apart. P.S. I do highly recommend the Mexican place there though. It's called El Valle definitely try it out!
