The management at this location was extremely disappointing. I requested a printed receipt, but staff refused, stating that because I booked through Expedia, they were unable to provide one and that I would need to use the email receipt instead. I explained that this was a business trip and that I required a physical copy for my records, yet they still refused to assist me. I then asked for the corporate contact number so I could report the unsatisfactory service. The general manager responded that he was the manager. I clarified that I was requesting the corporate office contact information, and he claimed that all locations are privately owned. While I understand that franchises may be privately operated, there is still a corporate office that establishes operational standards. Refusing to provide a simple printed receipt and declining to share corporate contact information is highly unprofessional and reflects very poor customer service. I was there last weekend for a work audit. Checked in on Friday and check out Monday. The hotel is well maintained. t The service is great! It's very clean. I saw with my own eyes how the housekeepers get on their needs and scrub without hesitation to leave those rooms clean. If that's not enough... The main reason why I got on here to leave a review is because I left behind a pair of Samsung buds. I didn't realize it until I was on the plane flying back to LA. I called and the honest housekeepers turned them in. In a few days they had arrived back to my house. They shipped them out right away. I will make sure to stay only at this hotel going forward every time I fly out there. This is by far my most pleasant experience on any hotel that I've stayed at for work reasons. read more

Have stayed here many times. Great hotel, clean, very nice and helpful staff. Breakfast is the best included breakfast we've ever had at any hotel- they have whatever you could want. Over the years they have made nice upgrades, including now Keurigs in the rooms and a nice latte machine in the lobby. I never have to buy coffee out when staying here, the drip coffee is good too & they provide lots of flavored creamers, sugars, etc May I make a suggestion? Some nicer & more comfortable outdoor furniture for relaxing out back! It's so beautiful out there, adirondack chairs would be great- fire pits would be amazing. Total 5 star experience. Amanda t front desk was great. We were escaping a dump hotel in Sunnyside and called late and she was able to give us a choice of rooms with or wo elevator On 2nd floor. The place is very new and up to date and very accommodating. The parking lot is huge and pretty well lit. The entrance includes the breakfast area which is great, the pool and hot tub which looked clean and folks were enjoying it. Everything is spotlessly clean. Our room was perfect. Well lit. The shower was great water pressure. Baby Keurig was stocked with Kirkland coffee. Microwave and fridge new. TV and amazingly and rare TV guide with channel icon and big font so I can read it easily! Quiet room. The breakfast was terrific. Made to order omelets? Yes and wow! Juice, Multiple types Of coffee, fruit, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns - the works! Would stay here again in a second! The price was on the high side however but you get what you pay for. First class all the way. This is the way a property should be managed! read more

We stayed here while coordinating my mother-in-law's funeral and burial and helping her siblings with taking care of her final effects. They offer a generous funeral discount. Right after the burial, we had to drive back to western WA to make our appointments to get COVID shots, and upon our return, the hotel still honored the discount. The staff here is really nice and accommodating. They have a spacious breakfast area with all kinds of omelette options, eggs, sausage, bananas and apples, yogurt, orange or apple juice, coffees, hot chocolates and teas. They also have the Yakima Herald for free behind the omelette bar. There is a pool and hot tub, though the hot tub could be much hotter. There is an exercise room with a treadmill, recumbent cycle snd elliptical but the elliptical was broken. It also has a small universal, some dumbbells, a few exercise mats and an exercise ball. There is hand-sanitizer everywhere. We highly recommend the odd numbered rooms on the second floor. They overlook a vineyard, the town of Sunnyside, and Mount Adams in the distance...a beautiful view. We plan to come back under better circumstances and stay here again. read more

We've been coming here for years, both in the summer and the winter. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, especially their manager Pat. The rooms are not fancy, but have everything you need, including comfortable beds. Their breakfast buffets are nicely done; they'll even make you an omelet of your choice. I wasn't sure if this was a motel or an Evangelical Church Retreat. There are biblical sayings on the walls, a bible prominently displayed on the mantle of the lounge, a conference room with a cross on the podium, and to top it off we went to swim in the pool and a man asked us to come back later because they were about to baptize a woman IN THE JACCUZZI! So we didn't end up swimming. In terms of service, there was no one at the front desk. Each time we went to the desk we had to wait and there was no bell to ring for service. The beds were so wobbly and old that when one of us got in bed the whole thing shook and woke the other up. We asked for change at the front desk so we could use the vending machines but they had none and no change machines available. We will not stay here again. read more

I rate Lisa (front desk) and this Best Western at the top, even though it's an older Best Western. The employees are so friendly, the area is surrounded by grape vines and a very cool old barn with a curved roof, and the room was very comfortable in the 102 degree heat. They had hot dogs and home made chicken gumbo at 5:00 pm, and their breakfast was better than other Best Westerns because they had fried eggs and hash browns, in addition to the other items, such as biscuits & gravy, fruit, .... First, let me say that the staff is second-to-none. They're friendly and as helpful as they can be. The happy hour snacks are a nice touch and although the continental breakfast isn't anything to write home about, it's included in the cost of your room. Those are the only good things I can say about this hotel. Now, on to the real review. The walls are paper-thin with neighbors' televisions blasting at full volume all times of day so loud you can actually hear announcer, shows, commercials, and anything else like you were in the room with the guest. The adjoining doors between rooms don't help at all. When are hotels finally going to stop doing this?! I've stayed in countless hotels next to friends, family, and business colleagues, and I've only used adjoining doors in an ironic "look at this goofy feature" way. The rest of the time, they just serve as sound amplifiers for your neighbors. In my most recent stay (yes, I've stayed at this hotel multiple times which is why I'm finally writing a negative review - something I don't do often), my room couldn't have been maintained in years judging from the quality of the features. The bathroom fan sounded like a metal grinder, the toilet made a leaking noise that didn't go away with handle jiggling and woke me up repeatedly all night long, and the bathtub didn't drain resulting in my shower turning into a full bath within just a few minutes. The above was just my most recent room. My other room's bathtub and toilet were fine, however, sound from my neighbor was ever-present over a multi-night stay with me knowing exactly what sports or TV show he was watching because I could hear it CLEARLY in my room. The air conditioning systems in all rooms are a complete joke; set the thermostat to whatever you want, the rooms won't get cooler than 80 degrees. A colleague of mine stayed in his own room both times I've been here and had this identical issue (although he didn't care because he doesn't mind the heat and hates conditioned air, turning off HVAC systems immediately). Now, let's talk amenities. The hotel does offer a swimming pool and a fitness center. I don't use pools, but I do work out daily. The gym is located in the swimming pool area. In order to get into the swimming pool area, you need to use your hotel key (a good idea for security). HOWEVER - the gym door is ALSO locked with its own key which you must request from the front desk in order to get into the gym. Having stayed in hotels all over the country, I can tell you that Grapevine's fitness center isn't remotely state-of-the-art. It isn't terrible, but it doesn't need double-lock, government-caliber security. Having to go to the front desk to get a key is annoying - especially when the staff is performing tasks elsewhere. Even more annoying is how the gym door locks behind you so if you get the key first, you have to interrupt your workout any time another guest wants to join you after you've already gotten the key. Overall, the hotel has a decent location and they do put a roof over your head. I just recommend bringing earplugs, sleeping pills, and be prepared to put up with one annoyance after another if you end up staying here. The rooms are relatively clean and there aren't any bugs (that I noticed) so it could be worse... read more

This is a definitely a hotel run by someone who wants his guests to be comfortable. You can tell that care has gone into it every step of the way. It is a Best Western, so not the Taj Mahal, but clean and nicely decorated, great breakfast, courteous staff, just perfect. I personally do not generally appreciate "christian" statements in a public place, but in this case, I do think it represents the best intentions of the owner. I think they must have recently re-furbished the hotel, because in reading some of the reviews they comment on old beds, etc. but we found in brand-spanking new! read more

This has become our home away from home. While in the process of moving to the area, we have stayed at this hotel six times. The breakfast buffet and evening snack is a great break from restaurant meals. I noticed another couple grilling their meal on the patio using the hotel's grill - so that is a benefit. Unless you are an evangelical Christian you would probably feel uncomfortable with this motel. There were sayings and posters of Biblical quotes throughout the motel and in our room we had a new Testament reading to explore. We attend church and are Christians but we have a strong respect for others of different religions or beliefs and viewed this to be insensitive (especially in a motel.) On another note, we found this motel to be understaffed which was apparent when we arrived and no one was at the desk. Also there was apparent under staffing for the breakfast meal since the food was not being replaced and utensils, etc. for the breakfast crowd. Also the mattresses need to be replaced since they are extremely worn and soft. We will never stay here again and would not recommend this motel. read more

We have staid there twice - once before kids and once after we had three kids, and thought the place was great. The pool is perfect for children - not an olympic-sized pool but just a little square one which is 3 - 4 feet deep and has plenty enough room for kids to splash around in while adults relax in hot tub. The kids also had fun running around in the backyard chasing tumbleweeds. The people are friendly. The owners are clearly Christian (Bible verses in the lobby ) -so if you are one of those people who gets all bothered with this, don't make a reservation here. But if this makes you feel more comfortable, this place will serve you great! read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Prior to check in I asked (when made reservation) if anything would be charged or authorized to my card and I was told no and notes were made that I would be checking in with another card. Over 24 hours before checking in I had an authorization on my card for 100's of dollars. I called the hotel and they admitted that they screwed up. It was a nightmare to have them contact my back in order to have it removed. Upon check in I gave a card but informed I would pay with cash upon check out. Our 2 night stays was nothing but issues. Room and bedding was filthy, we had am ant hill under bathroom sink, hotel staff moved our personal belongings and that is to just name a few things. After sharing this with the staff, we were told our 2 nights would be comp. The day of check out they changed that and said they were wrong and that they couldn't comp both nights. As ridiculous as that was, we just wanted to get out of there so we paid cash for the 1 night. The following week I saw that my credit card was also charged so we paid for both nights. From that point on I have spoke with staff, manager, GM, and assistant to the owner. I have been told on 3 different occasions that my card will be refunded and it never has. I have been strung along and lied to multiple times by all levels of management. They have now said that they will do nothing. I have contacted the corporate office of best western and they are looking into it but I do not have high hopes. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!! read more
