This place was a godsend. Businesses, restaurants and hotels are hit and miss in this area. The sands motel was absolutely filthy and disgusting mold mildew rat droppings and crack pipes, they also did not give my dear grandmother a refund. So this place was a godsend. Right across the street and the Best Western Summit Inn was very clean and tidy. The continental breakfast was above average. Hot waffles and lots of friendly folks visiting internationally to check out Niagara Falls. We were so grateful that we had a clean and calm place to stay. Something to note is that Checkout time here is at 10am instead the usual 11am. But other than that this place is great for families. read more

After my wife and I having been loyal customers of this location several times a year for the last 12 years, it's unfortunate that they have gotten to the point where we will be looking elsewhere from now on. Traveling from Canada when we were finally able to, again, we were saddened to hear that they no longer provide housekeeping service( which is usually a staple of the hospitality industry ) they always had , and we were always impressed with the quality and tipped the staff very well upon leaving. However, the first time back in the post travel restrictions era, we were told we could " request" housekeeping . We assumed this was for the peace of mind of any customers who didn't want it. We requested it , but it was no more than simply making the bed haphazardly and changing the towels. This time, when asked, they claimed they were " much too busy to provide housekeeping for anyone other than the construction workers." So.. we are paying over $400 to stay in a small room with a mini fridge for 3 nights, and have to " throw the towels outside the door and go get fresh ones from the front counter every morning, as well as make the bed, tidy the room and clean the sink and counter every morning . Not the end of the world, for sure, but when there are quality hotels offering these services in the area, why would we spend our money here? It's like the restrictions of service during Covid showed them how much money they were saving by not having a housekeeping staff , and they decided to keep it that way Sad. Our room was super clean and the Maid service was excellent! Beds were very comfy. The continental breakfast was delicious with a variety of things to eat. A few things I didn't like was the sounds of children running through the hallway. It sounded like a herd of elephants stampeding. I also didnt like the plug outlets. First, good breakfast options in the morning, juice,waffles,sausage and yogurts and all kinda of pastries. Not so sure about the eggs, very watery weird smell. Comfy beds, good size TV and close to the falls. Nice pool and gym, staff seems okay i haven't had any problems but the weird thing is you only get house keeping if you stay for 5 or more days. But even if you are staying you have to call front desk for literally everything. So if you're not very comfortable like me with talking to random people alot i dont recommend going here but overall nice hotel, its also really close to alot of stores for everything you need. read more

My hotel room was filthy (dirty sheets with visible makeup and hair, no towels, hair and dirty cups and used toiletries in the shower, dirty feet prints on the bathroom floor). When I requested cleaning services and ultimately a new room, I was refused and then yelled at by staff who told me I should be grateful that they checked me in at all since I arrived in the morning, even though I paid full price for the night before and for two days overall. I checked out early (after only 6 hours) and requested a refund - the manager is refusing and saying that I am lying. Worst hotel experience ever! I was driving overnight from out of town and had called ahead to check availability. The receptionist told me they could check me in that morning but I would have to pay full price for the night before - no problem, I was happy to have a place to stay after driving all night. When checking in, the receptionist said that there was a problem with the room and it wasn't ready even though we had confirmed the reservation hours before. After waiting for 20 minutes, we were given the keys and we went to the room. Not sure what happened in that time but it was not cleaning or re-stocking...Exhausted from driving we wanted to sleep but then realized the bed linens were dirty, with visible hair and make up markings. I called the front desk and the receptionist herself came to change the sheets. She said that the bedding was "gross and unacceptable". Once the sheets were changed, we immediately went to sleep. When we woke up 5 hours later, we wanted to take showers. I went to the bathroom and was appalled to find the floor filthy, empty used cups and toiletries in the shower, and worst of all, a layer of hair all over the shower floor. I called the front desk to ask for a new room and they said they would send a manager. A man came with cleaning supplies (not sure if he was a manager or not) and said that he would clean the shower. We said that we just wanted a new room, as that room obviously hadn't been cleaned after the last guest and needed to be cleaned top to bottom. This man started yelling at us, saying that we should be grateful that they were going to clean the shower at all, that it was our own fault for checking in in the morning (despite paying full price for the night before as I mentioned). He said that there were no other rooms and we should be happy to have this one. "Next time don't check in in the morning," he said, as if we had a choice. We were upset about the dirtiness of the room but absolutely appalled by the horrible customer service! I have never experience anything like it before. Instead of apologizing or offering solutions, everyone at the hotel treated us as though we were the problem. We decided to go somewhere else. The customer service and quality of amenities being far far below expectation, we thought it was reasonable to ask for a refund. Especially since we were leaving just 6 hours into our 2 day reservation! The front desk refused to give us a refund or put us in touch with a manager. I have been trying to get in touch with a manager now for the last 3 days and every time I call, the manager is "out". Today, the receptionist told me that the manager put a note on my account that says no discount or refund. I am now working with Best Western's corporate staff to hopefully procure a refund, but it has been very time consuming. I would absolutely not recommend staying that this hotel, the customer service and amenities are some of the worst I have ever experienced. read more

Very happy with our stay!!! My family of 5 stayed two nights to explore Niagara Falls. We stayed in a Family suite. We had plenty of room!! The kids are still talking about the huge hotel room. We stayed here for two nights while visiting the falls. The hotel is approx 15 minute drive away from the falls but in a good area near Target and Walmart and such. The hotel was very clean and u can tell it is very well maintained. Our room was remodeled and very nice, but small. Beds were firm, like I like them, and clean. Linens and towels were clean. I always check for bed bugs everywhere I go and this room did not have them. The indoor pool was great and the hotel staff was great. I would recommend this hotel for the cleanliness of it, location, and price. read more

Beware of bed bugs... We stayed here during our trip to Niagara Falls. The hotel is supposed to be renovated but when we entered, nothing seems to be renovated. Room was so so no soap dish, remote for TV did not work. First time visiting Niagara Falls so we booked 24 hours ahead price was $270.00 for one night for a BW to charge this kind of money for one night for a double queen because that was all they had is ridiculous and that was with the military discount it's insulting we will definitely not be staying here next time. I have mixed views on this hotel. When I went on a vacation to Niagara Falls this past week, I chose this as our hotel. After seeing the state of Niagara Falls (not that nice....), this seemed to be one of the best options and best choices around for a modern facility with a decent amount of attractions. It's not right near the actual Falls (about fifteen minutes away, possibly more with traffic), and even though it's right across from the Salvation Army Thrift Store, it's a good, clean hotel that is very helpful and friendly. They have a pool, business center (with computers), and other attractions to make people's stay better. Free breakfast every day too, nice compliments of them as well. Rooms were large enough and pretty spacious considering some other hotels I've been to. Everything was very clean and maintenance also did a great job inside and out. What I didn't like about this place was the prices. I was supposed to receive a specific offer, but never got the offer on my bill receipt, which I realized when I got home to Massachusetts. Following that, I attempted speaking with management on the phone numerous times and each being unsuccessful. I would've gone back, but driving eight hours for fifty dollars in a refund isn't worth it (duh!). They never resolved the issue, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I highly suggest checking your receipt before leaving the parking lot.... just to make sure. 3 stars. They could use some improvement in customer service, but the current maintenance of the hotel and the amenities overrule a poor rating. 3 stars. read more

The hotel itself is clean. Breakfast was ok; nothing special. The only hot items are packaged Quaker oatmeal, waffles (you make your own waffles) and sausages. Only hard boiled eggs. Thankfully there's breakfast restaurants in the area. There was an immediate problem upon check in with the reservation. The staff was not friendly and unhelpful. A call to the corporate office and the matter was settled. The first night we stayed, my sister had an issue with the pillows. She was having some type of minor skin/allergic reaction, no biggie. She asked the front desk for hypoallergenic pillows and they had none. They were not kind to her and unhelpful. She asked two separate workers the next day for non feather pillows and again, they were all unhelpful. Thankfully there's a Walmart near by, but she had to buy her pillows for the rest of the stay. We avoided the front desk staff for the remainder of the stay because they seemed to be inconvenienced by our questions and again, we're not helpful. I would not recommend this hotel simply for the unkind staff. You're in the hospitality business...maybe you should think about being more hospitable. I updated my review to include one more star bc I left my keys at the hotel and they overnighted them to me. I paid for it of course, but thought that was nice of them. We checked in last night and upon first impressions we were a little disappointed. It looked run down and in slight disrepair. We learned they were in the middle of a remodel, so that was forgiven, especially considering our $72 rate. The room, however, did not leave us wanting. Clean, spacious and well-equipped. No hot-tub, which was a pretty big let down after an 8 hour drive, but nice, clean pool area and a great gym (funny how you can usually have those all to yourself...). Breakfast was above-average with eggs, sausage, yogurt, 3 types of cereal, 2 milk options, fruit, bagels, muffins, pastries, oatmeal with lots of toppings, bread, 3 types of juice, coffee, tea, waffle maker and toaster. A microwave that is accessible 24-hours is a plus for anyone with leftovers craving a late-night snack. A few miles from the falls, but it's a zoo down there anyway. We'd stay here again. read more

Pros: Free parking, located in areas that have a lot of different restaurants and shopping places, (markets, target, a lot of fast food, liquor store) has free breakfast and a make your own waffle machine. Free unlimited drinks (coffee, tea, and juices) 24 hour lounge to watch tv. Has an indoor pool and gym. Cons: Small rooms for a double bed, breakfast was not that good tasting, such as the eggs, it was very rubbery. The sausage was a hit or miss. First batch was crispy and was pretty good, second batch, the sausage was flimsy and had no crispy to it, it was a floppy mess. Seems like they barely cooked it and served it. Potatoes was ehhh. The pool is all around 4'11 deep, except kids area it's 3 feet. The stairs and hallway smells like urine...a very strong urine smell. Some of the staff are really nice and some of them you can tell hates their job and wouldn't hide their facial expression. Example, making huffing and puffing noise when you ask for something like towels. Well, can't expect too much but for the price for a night I was hoping I'd be better. The pictures of the room is very misleading. Probably one of the smallest rooms I've ever stayed in hotel wise. The bathroom is very small, but upside is, the door separates from the sink area and the toilet. However, it is very cramped. Not much moving space. Honestly, it was my first time going to Niagara Falls, if I came a second time, I would definitely pay more and choose a different hotel. read more

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and looked refurbished. The breakfast was more than enough, fried eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffles, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruits, breads. This hotel was clean, comfortable. Personnel are very helpful and friendly. Room 221 has two queen beds that you can get a good nights sleeps. Very nice comforters and pillows. The room was clean including the bathroom and quiet. Didn't like the ceiling of the room. The ceiling showed leaks along the windows and the taping of the sheet rock was very visible and considering the cost should of been a lot better. The price of the inn should of reflected a much better Breakfast. Needed to go down the street to Starbucks for coffee. Inn is 20-15 min away from falls and state park.  A good thing, not as crowded of an area. read more

We stayed here for three nights and loved it. Pretty inexpensive at $199 for all three nights. The rooms were clean and tv offered a variety of channels. I did not ask for housekeeping services so I can't comment on that. Mini fridge and coffee maker are also in the room. Breakfast is included. What stood out to me was that the breakfast room stayed open 24/7 so you have access to different teas, coffee, decaf, hot water, juices, a microwave, paper plates and plastic utensils. This was great because I wanted something refreshing at night and I was able to get some orange juice. We also bought some microwaveable meals that we were able to keep in the mini fridge and then microwave for those late night cravings ;). The saltwater pool is at a comfortable temperature. I didn't see any change rooms - not sure if I missed it but the door I saw just went directly to the pool from the hall. I changed in my room - good thing my room was very close to the pool! There is also a small arcade area - very retro! It's also very close to the Fashion Outlets, Target, Walmart, and many restaurants. About 15-20 minutes from the border. My family and I stayed her for our trip to both Canada/ and the falls. Hotel was very neat and clean. Staff was polite especially to my daughter and son. Had a issue with the cable the first day there and within 5 mins the maintenance guy fixed for us. Staff is not overly friendly, but not rude either. If u talk to them they are pleasant. But are not the type to speak or say hello first so don't expect that. I got more from other guest than I did with the staff. But the staff was still nice. The pool was very clean and kept at a very good temp. Not to cold and not to warm. The free breakfast was pretty basic but the free all day hot or cold drinks kind of makes up for it. Hotel is in a safe area, about 10-15 minutes away for the falls, and 15-20 mins away from Canada. Would definitely use again in the future! read more

Breakfast room was large, bright - very nice. coffee and tea always available. Exercise room very nice- didn't see pool. Staff accommodating and pleasant. Roof was being replaced. We only stay at best western hotels and this is the closest one to my husband's family. We've stayed here for a week on out last visit and about 4 or 5 days the visit prior. The rooms are nice. I like the beds but my husband doesn't. I do like the fact that there is an in door pool, especially since we came during a week of snow. Kids loved the couple of games that they have to play. My only complaint and the reason for 1 missing star is the noise in the halls. We were woken up every morning anywhere from 5, 6 or 7 am to kids running in the halls downstairs and upstairs. You can hear every damn footstep. Of course those parents didn't care but it was rather annoying when you don't get to bed till 1 or 2 am. I didn't say anything to the staff, not too sure what they could of done. read more

I found this hotel on hotel tonight for a reasonable price for 1 night. Its 15 mins away from the falls which is great. Breastfast was decent and the beds were very comfortable. There were some issues during my stay. The staff here is very unpleasant. The lady in the front desk has no manners, very rude when asking her if I can check in early. Housekeeping came to my room THREE times to check what time we were leaving. The third time they came with the hotel manager or owner is what it looked like and she basically kicked us out. I have been to many hotels and this has never happened. I have checked in early and have checked out late with no issues. Once again the staff was very rude and not welcoming. I would not recommend anyone to this hotel. Take your business else where. read more

Just stayed here on a last minute falls stop on family road trip. While the falls was nice to see, this City seems to be in decline. Lots of disrepair & vacant properties on way to hotel. I liked this Best Western Summit Inn. The down side was no elevator, but they were in the process of installation. The staff were downright friendly. It was cleaner than several we stayed at. I felt safe & comfortable. The breakfast had plenty to choose from & I never left hungry. The parking & location was close to the falls. The first night my husband and I were there was great. The rooms were clean, bathroom included. The breakfast in the morning was awesome. Waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, all the coffee you could want... The next night there were guests running around and screaming until well after one am. I was a little disappointed in the lack of supervision from the night crew. Also the pool had two different signs, one saying closed at 10pm, one saying closed at 9pm. Overall these little things are something I could look past because the rest of our two night stay was wonderful.
