He called us back promptly within the hour. But my husband couldn't understand him over the phone, so I took the call. He said everything looked good except there was only one quart of transmission fluid. Because I know next to nothing about cars I agreed to him "changing the transmission fluid" for $120. When I relayed this to my husband he said "there is no way that van could shift gears on one quart of transmission fluid, I just changed the fluid six months ago and checked it last week, its fine". So I called back but couldn't communicate to him that we wanted him to do nothing. So by the time we got there he had already drained the fluid out and we were required to pay for him to install new fluid. My husband is entirely confident he drained the fluid just to have something to charge us for. Then came time for payment. With no warning: Cash only. Well, who carries $120 in cash? So he called some sort of service and took my card payment over the phone, which seemed to be a legitimate exchange but who knows. And so we left with a still wobbly car having wasted several hours and given $120 to a swindler. Never to return again.

I was greeted in the parking lot immediately after I parked by Herb, who gave me a 20 minute estimate and pulled my car into the shop. I waited a moment in the small (but clean) office, then went outside to sit in the sunshine. Herb completed the inspection in the time he stated and I had no surprises. He was friendly, the garage was clean, and the prices for their services are clearly displayed. This is a Valvoline shop, in case you are considering an oil change. I only gave four stars because I did not have any actual service done, but I felt great about my experience and will be going here for my state inspection again next year.

The repairman, B.J., was absolutely amazing. Strange as it may sound, watching him work was like watching an artist perform. His movements and actions were so precise and carefully considered, no wasted motions to slow him down, always with careful attention to detail. After removing my wheels, he carefully laid them down on the parking lot before proceeding with the work. That is just an example of what I'm talking about. It may sound normal or average, but it was anything but. B.J. machined the rear drum brakes back to a perfect circle, and also replaced the worn-out pads on the front brakes with brand new ones. It took a grand total of 30 minutes from the time he arrived and he was DONE and driving away. On top of that, rather than write down my credit card information on the invoice he gave me (where the numbers would be visible for others to see on the carbon copies), B.J. just told me to call the office with the info to take care of it and then hopped in his truck and drove away. It's really a nice validation of positive human nature to have someone do such great work on your car and then turn around and implicitly trust you to call the office and take care of the payment after they leave. FastBrake has earned my sincere appreciation and I will be taking all my brake business to them in the future. They are simply awesome.

Booked an appointment on three separate occasions and they never showed up. The first time was due to what they said was an accident. The second and third, they never bothered to call or text back. These are people who don't care about customer service, only themselves. Even if the problem of the accident was true, they should have done a much better job of communicating issues. BTW, the third time they never showed, they called six hours after the appointment - after I called their google phone at least a dozen times to find out if they were coming - telling me they don't work in the rain. I thought hey, no problem, I can replace a brake lamp. So I ordered the lamp on the internet and once I received it, I sat down to watch a youtube video on how to install it. OMG. There was no way I could do it. It is like the entire car is built around this stupid brake light. You have to basically disassemble your car to get to it. So I made an appointment at a mechanic shop that I have used before. They said they would do it, but when I got there and they took a look at it, they bailed on me and said no. So I called Buddha's Garage. They also said no, but referred me to Slick Rydes. Bill had never replaced a CHMBL in a Camaro before, but he was willing to try at least. I knew it was a major pain in the butt and he had some difficulties, but he did it! The reason I mentioned my expired registration sticker was that Bill went above and beyond and took my car to get it inspected while he had it so I could get my registration renewed before my court date on Friday! Now that is some amazing customer service. He didn't have to offer to do that at all, and I doubt anyone else would. Another thing I appreciated was he never talked down to me or tried to feed me BS because I am a woman, which happens more often than not whenever my car needs repairs.
