brakes aren't braking like they should so decided it's time for some truck maintenance, just to go here and get told it'll be $1000 for the brake pads the brake fluid etc., basically man said i needed a whole round trip, all four tires need their brakes replaced etc. man walked around my truck and didn't do anything on his computer if i had a number with them or a warranty, which i do. maybe idk what the warranty is for but i called my dad and he said they guy is just trying to get money out of me and yes i do have a high pitched voice and i get mistaken as a girl a lot so yeah i definitely think this location likes to take advantage of people, be safe guys! in a world that we are in rn we need community and unity not money hungry guys trying to steal bill money as if the entire us isn't living pay check to paycheck rn. read more

Every time I come always find something else more to fix, it's like they it happens on purpose. I came here few times, I thought I would have this place for my car long term but they took advantage of women trying to fix our car. My car supposed to be good but it got worse. I only went for Freon AC without any noise on the car, but when they found the belt broke, the fixed it but now compressor broke and makes soooo much noice, that's a liability. Run. As fast as you can. In the other direction. REVISED REVIEW: Brought my car in for an oil change, and was upsold for an air filter and such; total came out to be $180. However, within a day or two, the air conditioner stopped working (fan worked, but the air that blew out would not be cold). Did a series of interactions where I had to bring it back for them to inspect, have someone tell me I'm low on Freon, send me off to their Cedar Park location only to discover that there is a leak and that they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Took my car to a trusted garage (should have known better, message me for trusted recommendations!) and they informed me there were 3 different parts that were damaged and that it would be about $2500 to repair and replace. As someone who's not familiar with cars, I get the uneasy feeling that this is the type of place that will take advantage of my ignorance. Can't say or prove that ServiceOne caused any issues, but all I know is that my a/c was working totally fine before any of these issues before I dropped it off for an oil change. Could have been that it blew out spontaneously, as car parts do at times, but who could ever know? To the surprise of absolutely no one, I reached out to the email Zac B provided in his response and have not heard back. Will not return. Do not come here. read more

Fast, friendly, cheap state inspection. Nice staff too. Though I drive by often in the neighborhood, the combination of my registration being up for renewal in July, needing an inspection as a result, and spying a Schlotzky's across the street at lunchtime put them at the top of my list. Fast drop off, inspection done in less time than it to took me to finish my sandwich across the street (less than 15 minutes for sure), no hidden charges, icy cool waiting area if you are not eating lunch and waiting inside instead. They do what they do well. Might give them a shot next time I need a Mobil 1 synthetic oil change, as I see that on their list of services (as the name implies!) read more

I will edit it based on facts) I am requesting a full refund of $1494.87 for the inadequate and suspicious services I received at "Oil Changer Service One" on January 11th, 2023. I initially paid $1494.87 (as shown in Picture 1) for the repair of my car, but the problem persisted (as shown in Picture 2). When I returned to Service One, they demanded an additional $800, and I decided to seek service elsewhere. Upon my return, I noticed a yellow engine alert sign, and the new auto repair shop engineer found that Service One might have intentionally loosened the engine sensor. Additionally, the engineer said in his opinion, old parts were resealed rather than replaced. On September 16th, 2022, I had my car serviced at another "oil changer" and a few months later, began experiencing coolant leakage, which caused squeaking sounds. On January 11th, 2023, I visited "Oil Changer Service One" and paid $1494.87 to have my car repaired. This included labor fees of $670 and parts, such as a water pump for $323.52, a hose assembly for $142.56, a tube to throttle body for $130.88, and a seal input output outlet for $91.12. However, the problem persisted, and I returned to the repair shop on January 16th, 2023. The manager informed me that an additional $800 was needed to fix the same problem, so I decided not to receive additional services from "Oil Changer Service One." After leaving the repair shop, my car's engine yellow alert light came on, and I did not use my car after that. On January 24th, 2023, I took my car to a new repair shop and paid $1000 for labor, as well as $26.94 for a coolant pipe, $54.49 for a plastic coolant pipe, $62.87 for a plastic coolant outlet flange, $6.57 for a water outlet plug, and $5.56 for an oil cooler seal. The new repair shop's engineer noted that they could not find any new parts in my car and were unsure if the water pump was new. They found evidence of resealing rather than replacing parts. I retrieved the old parts from the new repair shop and found evidence of resealing, indicating that "Oil Changer Service One" did not properly repair my car. read more

Oil Changers is refusing to reimburse for the cost of an expensive repair I had to get another shop to complete after Oil Changers messed up in a major way when I brought my car to them. We have waited for them for 35 days to send a check and now they say the coolant tank was empty when I came to them. Then why Oil Changers would your mechanic miss the huge gash that caused the leak in the first place and then say the car was good to go? Then when I called to say the car is smoking worse after your repair, your shop said it was just residual coolant that needed to burn off?! I will see you in small claims court, may the best man win. read more

I came in for a state inspection which they told me it would take 15-20 mins. After being called outside, they told me I needed my cabin filter changed and my transmission fluid changed out. I was told if I were to do this today, they'd take off the cost for my inspection. They told me it shouldn't take any longer than 10-15 mins. I said yes. About 15 mins in, they tell me that the cabin filter they thought they had in stock isn't in stock and they're gonna have a guy deliver it to them. They told me it would be 5 mins for the guy to deliver it. I said ok. Another 15 mins pass, they tell me the guy came, but it's the wrong cabin filter and suggest i'd wait even longer or come back later. Considering it's Valentine's day today, I couldn't just sit there wasting time when it's been about almost an hour. So it's been about 30 mins more or less just me sitting there waiting for nothing because of their mistake. I told them no at this point. Upon charging me, because I didn't get my cabin filter changed (due to the guy not delivering the right one), they charged me for the inspection. After speaking up about it, the guy decides to give a discount for the inspection (not a huge one for the inconvenience). I won't be coming back here due to all of this. read more

I attempted to get my car inspected as I had done several times in the past at this location. The employee immediately told me to pop the hood. In less than a minute, he told me brake fluid was low and I would fail the inspection. He said he could resolve the issue for $129. My mechanic inspected my brake fluid level and said the level was not low and would not cause an inspection failure. All for a buck. I'll never go back. read more

I had my coolant changed the 3rd time I was there and it ended up all over my radiator fan and the immediate area. I won't spend the time to write up my complete experience, but briefly I originally took my car in to see why my ac would cool fine, then would just blow warm air for a while, then back to cold after several minutes, etc,etc. They did an AC recharge for around $200, and told me there was a 90 day warranty and to bring it back if it was not fixed. It worked for 2 weeks, then started doing the same thing again. I took it back in and was told they were short staffed and the mechanic would not be able to look at my car because of their staffing issues. I was told to go to another location, several miles from my house. I went there a day or so later, and they did an AC diagnosis and told me my compresser was going out and I would need a new AC kit installed, at a cost of over $2100. I told them I would think about it. I was charged $120 for this diagnosis. In looking online for the AC kit, it sells for anywhere between $350 and $700 (at the dealer). I had been told the repair would take 5 to 6 hours. I sent an email to the customer service agent and offered to pay between four and five hundred for the kit plus $100 per hour labor for 6 hours, providing they would credit me for the $300 I had already paid. They said no. They said I could go buy the kit and they would install it at their labor fee, which they did not say how much, but that they would not offer any warranty. I've decided not to use their services. After reading the Yelp reviews, I think I've made the right decision. read more

I actually could have been in a very dangers way but when speaking to owner mr. madden he backed up his nasty workers, just because he could charge me 5000 ,more but I am so glad I met these genuine men who will not look at me as dollars but care about my pocket and mental health. I went to this place about a year ago! Drive thru! They made me paay $79 for the synthetic oil to match what I had before! However they poured some cheap non synthetic oil into my engine instead! They also topped the coolant! My Car sounded like a tractor ony way home so I opened the hood and noticed the cap to the coolant tank was missing also! I went back and they said they would replace it and call me but never did!! Total rip off! Bad business! Horrible service! read more

I had talked to Lamb's automotive on the phone this morning and talked through their pricing with them. I then went to oil changers on accident. When I got there I explained that I am the one who had called with a 10 am appointment and wanted the services we had discussed for the agreed on price. I also gave them my name. They acted like they had talked to me on the phone and knew the services I was discussing. They told me to pull into the oil change spot and to go inside where they would talk to me. They did not get my signature or approval to start servicing my car. They changed my oil without getting a signature or confirmation with what I wanted. Granted I did go to the wrong location and that's on me, but they proceeded with the information that "they had talked to me". When I went inside they told me I needed servicing on over 5 other problems for over $1000. I declined this. The worker also asked me my age (I'm 21) and if I planned on "having babies" to "fill my Lexus with". Inappropriate conversation to have with a customer. Upon realizing their pricing was not what we discussed, I asked them to not proceed since I haven't given them my signature. They said they had already finished with the oil change and I would still need to pay for it. $150!!!!! This was never agreed upon and I never gave my signature for it. The $150 didn't even include the inspection and tire rotation that Lamb's automotive agreed to do for $89. I asked for the breakdown of the price because I was shocked at the $150. They would not give me a clear answer and talked about things I never explicitly agreed to. They gave me a $25 discount to bring it down to $125. When I tried to stand up for myself they said the servicing was already done so I would have to pay. I paid the price so that I would be able to leave and regroup. They then belittled Lamb's automotive and said that everyone there works on commission and I'm better off not going there. I don't really have any allegiance to Lamb's (I've never even been there) but I doubt they would gaslight the customer and make weird comments about them. Just btw, I went to Lamb's directly after and they were very respectful and honest. I would like a refund for my unauthorized service. I will not be returning. read more

I took my 2001 Chevy Tahoe here for the first time to have the right rear window motor and regulator replaced. They performed that service and the window does work. My issue is that there is a plastic piece that frames and holds the button that was left broken, leaving the button to fall into the hole in the door. The car is old and the plastic in many areas is brittle -- I know this and certainly understand. Im certain whoever worked on the door though accidentally and easily broke the plastic. The problem is in giving the car back to me so I can discover the issue a day later. It's like a kid who breaks a lamp and then walks away leaving the pieces for you to discover later. You know who did it. They just won't take responsibility. It speaks to a lack of confidence that any other service will be completed without issue. That will be my last and only visit. read more

Got my car inspected here and they told me that the brake fluid was low and the air filter was dirty and that they could fix it all for a fee. The thing is my car is 2 years old and was serviced fully at the dealership one month ago. I declined the services and took it back to the dealership to see what was going on. As per the dealership, there is nothing wrong with the brake fluid or filter so I feel like these guys were trying to rip me off. I will not go back here. read more

Took my car in for a battery issue. They were friendly and didn't charge me for a battery test. Here's the problem: Here in Austin, at the time of this review, covid-19 hospitalizations and positives are increasing daily. Although businesses are opening up, it's more dangerous now than it was at the beginning of the pandemic The person I spoke to wasn't wearing a mask. I was. I tried to keep my distance but not sure I achieved a six-foot distance at all times. There's a sign on the door requesting that all customers wear masks. One customer, not wearing a mask, walked within a foot of me as he entered the establishment--completely ignoring the sign. The person who was helping me out and not wearing a mask either, went inside to talk to him. Recommended distance was not observed. Not only is this behavior dangerous to all the parties directly involved, including myself--but it is dangerous for my loved ones. I would like to point out that other employees I saw were mostly observing the mask policy. I'm sure that the individual helping me meant no intentional ill-will or disrespect, but it does show a general lack of concern for the customer if not for himself and his own family. I'll refrain from visiting this establishment again until we have a vaccine. Until then, I recommend all those who don't want to risk permanent neurological damage or death for themselves or their loved ones avoid this establishment. Update: I've bumped up the review a star due to the company's rapid and tactful response. I'll stop by again in the future as it sounds like I'll need a new battery soon. Stopped in for State Inspection...Failed because the Accord's power steering fluid was low and there was visual evidence that power steering pump was leaking...Mr.Inspector told me the part was $398.29 and the Labor would be $240.00. Service One is not just for oil changes and inspections!! Their very competent mechanics helped save me thousands from a quote I had from David McDavid Acura. They analyzed and told me what needed to be done versus what was on DMcD's wish list. (Since my Acura was a 2007, I feel the DMcD quote was to "encourage" me to buy a new car!) So, I scheduled the repairs with Service One and they had a loaner ready for me to use upon drop off! By 10 am the next morning, they had the car running smoothly! Several weeks went by and I just dropped in there because my windshield fluid kept leaking. Three techs came over and stated it was a bad hose but they weren't sure if they had a replacement hose or not. I walked over to Schlotzky's to grab a sandwich and, by the time I walked back, were finished with replacing the hose they had found. And guess what?? No charge! Needless to say I will always use Service One as my 1st stop in any vehicle repair!! Thank you to Tom Lewis and everyone at Service One! Always great service and great people! read more

I trusted them because the staff had always been honest in the past. I've since learned that they've changed ownership a few months ago and I was scammed. $377 oil change. Stopped by for what I thought would be a quick oil change. Upsold on high mileage synthetic and when I tried to pre pay the manager said he wasn't done repairing the car. I thought that was weird and said I had a regular mechanic I just needed the oil change. I was not given any pricing of the work being done I was just told the car needed maintenance. I just wanted the oil change. At time of checkout I'm told everything done to my car totals $377. How is an oil change that much? Oh we did a brake bleed and replaced a filter. I asked for an invoice of pricing before paying as I never requested a brake bleed or filter replacement. I was told that invoice couldn't be given to me until after I paid. Worst of all -can't speak with the manager as the manager was the one who rang me up and wouldn't let me prepay or show me my invoice before paying. My fault for not reading the reviews that this place takes advantage of folks once the cars on the lift. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more
