Can anyone tell us if the fries are frozen? Every frozen french fry we have ever met comes with animal fat on the outside. It's not that hard to make

Yes, we use McCain SureCrisp Shoestring Fries. They do come frozen. Needless to say, it is not that hard to make the fries in house, but they quickly have become soggy and unappetizing if not eaten immediately.… Read more

After eating there, I can confidently say Doug, your pub makes pretty good food. Our party of four was seated at a high-top, and the feasting began. They've got a great beer selection and took care of us right away. Food-wise, we started with the chicken wings, which were huge and packed with flavor. For me, the main event was the original patty melt. You know when something tastes homemade, but in the absolute best way possible? That was this burger. It was hot, juicy, and dripping with flavor, with perfectly caramelized onions and melted cheese. What really made it work was the bread, it still had a crunch instead of turning soggy. Every dip into the Thousand Island just made it better. The onion rings were a perfect sidekick. Around the table, my brother-in-law went with the Nutty Hog and enjoyed it, my sister liked her quesadilla, and my wife was happy with her chicken. No complaints anywhere. You know how I feel about local spots, and this place was full of charm and character. The drinks were cold, the food was solid, and I'll absolutely be back. 5/5 stars

They seemed to have as much outdoor as indoor seating, sufficient parking in a mini-mall, location in a somewhat upscale neighborhood, a small bar area as you walk in with a TV, and clean bathrooms. Service was friendly and accomodating, and the bartender even stopped by, while my wife was in the ladies room, to fold her cloth napkin and place it back on the wooden table. There were limited, but sufficient dinner choices. My wife had mussells in an onion and white wine broth and she substituted a side salad (mostly lettuce) for the fried potatoes on the menu. With that, she had a glass of "sangria," which appeared to be a rosé wine without clumps of fruit. I had the seared cod served (a la mode) above a pile of 3 french fries, 3 green beans, and a child's handful of spinach. With that I had a glass of German reisling white wine. For dessert, we just had decaf cappuccinos. Both the food and drink were very good. The portions weren't very generous, but just enough.

The bar is small (we wished it were bigger) but the spacious dining room and patio are just fine. The stuffed brie pretzels set my weight loss goal back weeks! Then the buffalo cauliflower... Blazers is a 10/10 for both food and drink…read more There are bars and pubs all over the world. Most likely of them litter the earth like wrappers from spent candy bars, a constant reminder of good times gone by. And then you get The Blazer. It is one of those places that shouldn't be there but it is and we are all the better for it. A low ceiling, low lights, jubilant conversation in the background all make for a snug setting. The bar is a seen out of Cheers with the conversation between business man and blue collar foreman flowing as quickly and easily as the beer from the tap. The drinks are cold and served quickly with a smile but it's the food that takes the crown. The menu is small but everything is cooked and presented perfectly. In all the years God has blessed me with life I have never had a better chicken wing. The Blazer traditional wing is served dry with limited spice but full flavored and from a temperature standpoint hotter than the devil's pitchfork. They were perfectly cooked, completely rendered, flavorful gifts of gastronomic joy. The burgers, cooked in a broiler style format, were fresh, perfectly cooked, delicious and of ample portion. The chicken fingers, which were each one a meal, served red hot, perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and tender within. The chili cheese dog was everything it should be and the French fries, which are a traditional steak fry cut, were incredibly crunchy on the outside and soft and tender within. Every bar and pub owner and chef should come here. This is the superlative example of a simple menu, cooked perfectly and served quickly with a smile. It is obvious that the setting, service and menu gets them to come back again and again across generations from miles and miles around.

We came as we understood the wings were the best in Westchester County... After trying two varieties, and being on a perennial wing trail chase for the last four years... I find that title difficult to believe. Wings were meaty, cooked correctly, and came well appointed with blue cheese and celery. Plus, I'm a sucker for wing establishments that provide the wooden bowl for bones. I love that. Otherwise, I found the wings lightly sauced, and kind of dry... We tried the blazers traditional, which are fried, sauce, then refried... They needed one more dunk in sauce to be top-notch. Our second order was their teriyaki wings... much more palatable... But we're still lacking. And I'm not a huge fan of wings that are not sauced in a hot sauce base. The opportunity to add a side of wasabi sauce to any wings was a welcome addition... As we needed the moisture. We did not try any other menu items, but the pub food looked delicious... And our server was fantastic. I do look forward to going back and trying to order things slightly differently... I'll chalk this first experience up on me not really strategically placing my order or knowing how to maximize the potential of a really great place. I know next time will be better.

There were also several picnic benches around the side of the building, but I wasn't clear if they belonged to the restaurant. You order at the register and they call out your name when your food is ready. They have a ton of vegan/vegetarian options, as well as a great breakfast/brunch menu. I ordered the egg and cheese biscuit. The cheddar jalapeño biscuit was delicious. It was buttery and dense. The flavors were mild, but the sandwich was the perfect portion size. I also got a side of the vegan bacon. It was rubbery and tough to chew. Would not recommend. My husband enjoyed the breakfast burrito. We also shared the buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower pieces were well coated in buffalo sauce and very flavorful. I also got the Don't Kale Me juice. It was tangy, citrusy, and refreshing. The Deep Roots smoothie was also quite tasty. They have free self-serve water and the employees were quick to wipe down tables so they were clean for the next party. Looking forward to coming again!

Going inside Grass Roots Kitchen was a breath of fresh air. The aesthetics put me in the mind of earth day and such beautiful paintings on the wall and flowers and greenery throughout. Grass Roots Kitchen offers have high tops dining as well as, regular dining, and outside dining. The dining area is pretty large, length wise and beautifully attractive. I ordered the egg and cheese biscuit with the help of the cashier, I didn't get her name and it's on the receipt but I threw it out. Even though this was not a vegan dish, who could pass on a collosal cheese biscuit. The egg was a nice accompaniment to this cheese biscuit also. The lady that gave me the biscuits said, wow! That smells nice. I thought she was giving me a compliment on the order until I sniffed the bag. Normally I don't do well with my sense of smell but, boy oh boy! That was a gooooooood smelling biscuit. And the taste, it tastes so good, it makes you want to slap yo momma. (Don't do it, it just makes you want to slap her.) Needless to say, I really enjoyed this cheese biscuit. In hindsight I guess I could have grabbed a hot drink, maybe next time, and there will be a next time because I told the lady that this was my first time and at the restuarant and I'm new in the area. Well, after trying their burger, they have my complete attention! They have such an interesting list of burgers! See my photos for their vast menu choices! I didn't recall ordering a double but that's what I got. lol This burger was really delicious but I could barely eat half of it. I would definitely order this burger again but maybe just a single burger next time. The sweet potato fries were such a treat! Such a delicious and satisfying meal!! They also have quite a few unique beverage options; non-alcoholic and alcoholic!! This is definitely not just a Coke and Pepsi kinda place! I tried their Velvet Llama Espresso Martini in a can, and it was really fantastic!
