I ordered 7 items. When I did not receive them, I tried calling during business hours. No one answered. I sent an email and received a timely response saying that the items were being sent. A package arrived and I received an email stating that the items had been delivered. I received 6 of the 7 items I ordered. When I complained, they issued a refund for the 6 items. They claimed it was an inventory issue, even though they continue to list the items on their website. I give them two stars because of the long delay after they acknowledged the order and because they must have known they were only sending one item, even though they claimed 7 were delivered. Pleasant staff and I don't have any complaints about the facility, so I wish I could give it a better review but I'm sorry to say I think it's a bit of a hoax. I bought a package of 9 lipo laser sessions. I exercise a lot (run & Pilates) but have a stubborn belly so I thought I'd give it a try. I already don't eat bread, pasta, rice or potatoes & drink a lot of water & no soda. The 1st appointment there is serious up sale but I figured 9 sessions should show me if it works before I fork over another grand for the higher strength laser & the special drops. After 9 appointments no difference. I used the vibration machine with the weights but 10 minutes a session seems way too little anyways. (Its preset so that's the max.) I think for people who eat bread & cut it out like they suggest, they will see results but not from the laser, because changing your diet can get results at first, especially cutting carbs if you eat a lot normally. When I first cut out bread I had results too. (& it didn't cost me $$$) In my time there I didn't meet anyone who (or hear of anyone ) who had results with the laser but I heard upselling when people said they weren't getting results. After a certain point if you don't have any results it's hard to believe it isn't really a waste of time & money. Also, the office has very limited hours, 2&1/2 days a week. I'm feeling a bit like a sucker but I gave it a try. I wish I could give a better report, but I'm not recommending this. read more

came here for a swedish massage here. First off all, this isn't your typical spa facility with pampering music, tea, comfy sofa / chairs, etc. This is like a clinic type of place. On to the massage experience, i think my masseuse did a great job in working on my back; getting rid of the knots. One thing I didn't like about this place was the walls were very thin. I kept hearing people laughing and talking from the next door! It really bothered me because I heard other people's conversation and laughter. It wasn't a very "serene / relaxing" experience. my massage was not really 1 hour. more like 50 minutes to be exact; i don't think they should have taken in account of me removing my clothes and putting on my clothes as part of the 1 hour session. It took me less than a minute to remove my clothes and I was just laying there waiting for her to come back. the one hr time should have started when she put her hands on my shoulder. overall experience was good, but it could have been better in my opinion. read more

This review is based off a recent purchase I made on the daily save.. I purchased a coupon sort of deal - $49/one hour massage and facial (which could be booked separately) - and since I thought it was such a good deal I purchased one for my husband too! We made an appointment and they took us in right away after filling out a survey. I really liked Janice, she was sweet and paid attention to the problem areas that I wrote on my survey. She also gave me a stone massage too, which was REALLY nice being that I didn't expect it :) She massaged me for a full hour, however the massage was more Swedish than deep tissue. I was pleased with her, but wish the pressure was applied all throughout. my husbands experience on the other hand didn't turn out too well. I went into my room before him, but came out after him too! The lady massaging him had told him he was finished, 10 minutes before the hour......... by the time he got ready and waited for me, he said his masseuse was out the door at exactly 1pm! Not really the service we expected, especially since we paid for an hour, not for 50 minutes. I was gifted a massage here and it was mediocre at best. The massage was not an entire hour long. It was cut short for dressing time and...? I've had many massages and usually the clock starts when they actually start the massage. The walls were extremely thin and I could hear a child laughing/crying loudly in the room next door. Then I could hear a machine turn on. I have kids but don't want to hear them when I'm trying to relax during a massage. The massage was very light pressure and not very therapeutic. I found this place on Groupon. I was instructed not to purchase on Groupon but to come in rather an pay in person . The prices on Groupon were 90% cheaper than what I was quoted In person. For example Groupon offered 65-90$ services in person I was quoted like services from upwards to 800$. I settled on a facial an massage . I was told there is only one facial I could chose from , so I chose none . I've been a patient of Dr. Vidal for two years and I honestly love my chiropractic adjustments. Initially I bought a massage package from groupon and they offered a free chiropractic consultation. I was feeling okay but i took the chance. I had an x-ray and unexpectedly I had a major problem on my neck and back. I had major migraines but i never connected them to a neck problem. Dr. Vidal told me about my options and I took the longterm treatment to solve the problem from the roots! I definitely made the right choice! She was great. I started going for adjustments 3 times a week and now it is only once a month to keep my body moving without any problems. She really made a difference. my recovery was 100% and i am very happy about it. I have no longer shoulder pain, and migraines. Who knew? When you go to a hospital for neck or back pain, they never tell you about a chiropractor option. It is so easy to solve the problem instead of taking pain killers for life time. I also got adjusted by Dr. Vidal throughout my pregnancy past year every 2 weeks. That's how I got through my pregnancy :) Also I love Karen. She is a sweetheart who makes all the appointments and takes care of a lot of things in the office. Again, I can't believe it was that easy to get rid of my headaches and constant shoulder pain. Karen is amazing! I came here for the spot of bother where my arm meets my body. You know the place - the pooch that comes out when you have a tank top on and your arms at your sides. I had talked to the cool sculpting people as well as a doctor for lipo and both were non starters (for a few reasons). When I asked to use the machine in this way, Karen said she hadn't seen it before but was willing to let me give it a shot. The results are amazing (about 50% less bulge then before) and I was able to use the rest of the paddles to hit some other spots. I am on my 5 treatment on the more powerful machine and even my 13 year old daughter mentioned yesterday I am looking skinnier! Success! read more

I purchased a Groupon for a 1 hour massage. The massage therapist seemed new, or at least inexperienced. Super light pressure... basically massaging oil into my skin like she was putting on suntan lotion. In the beginning, I didn't say anything because I figured she was still warming up my muscles... but the pressure never increased. I asked for more pressure, she obliged until she was done with that body part. After that it was more of the same. She didn't seem to have much experience and didn't have a flow to what she was working on. I suppose it could have been relaxing if I hadn't been so annoyed with not getting a good massage. My husband and I both did the six week laser lipo melt at the Poway location, and we had great results with this method. I alone lost little over 7" overall, with the most lost on the beer pouch as it's called. It was my first time ever getting lashes done...when Dr. LeiLani Vidal finished them, I thought they looked good. However, when I went to work and other places where people knew me, they were all dying to know if I'd had my lashes done and amazed at how real they looked. I can't tell you how many compliments I received from Dr. Vidal's work! Even 3-4 weeks later, as the lashes were starting to fall out and they weren't as "full" as they were, I was STILL getting compliments! I came here because I purchased a Groupon for 6 lipo light sessions. I was a little worried when I first got there just due to the facilities as they aren't the most up to date or glamorous but dont let that fool you! Just be prepared this is not you're typical "spa" setting with cute trendy chairs, offerings of herbal tea and calming music in the background. It's an older strip style building that looks somewhat run down. They have done what they can in limited space and it looks like they have tried to decorate a little to help the appearance especially in the restroom which actually does have a spa feel to it and as a bonus, was always clean. Personally, I wish each treatment area was completely private. One of the laser areas is in an actual private room (no door though) which is nice but the other laser area is just an open space with a curtain that only covers half (people walking by still can see you) and when you get on the vibration machine after each session you are out in the open for all to see which feels a little uncomfortable especially when all your fat is jiggling everywhere! The sessions themselves were comfortable and fast. It's 15 minutes of treatment time followed by 10 minutes on the vibration machine. I had marvelous results after 9 sessions. I'm 5'5" and WAS 160lb before treatments. At the end of the 9 treatments I had lost about 10 lbs but I also had a very strict eating plan and was self controlled. The day of treatment I would have an apple for breakfast and fast until the treatment (usually around noon) then I would chug fresh lemon water all afternoon and continue fasting until dinner. Light salad dinner (no carbs or sugar) and by the next day there was a dramatic difference in my treatment area. I lost inches and lbs. Don't expect the same results if you have a weak self control. How do I know my results were due to the laser and not just healthy eating you ask? I know the laser is effective because my treatment area is my stubborn fat area and is always the last to go no matter what I do but with the help of the laser I was able to sculpt that away quickly. The staff were amazing. Very friendly, very helpful. You may have a hard time getting someone to answer the phone (I know I did) but if you leave a voice mail they are quick to get back to you. I was always able to get the appointment times i wanted despite them being fairly busy just as long as i called to schedule a week or two prior. There is usually only one staff member running the whole show so answering phones, scheduling, starting people's treatments, cleaning equipment all falls on one person. That being the case, they did marvelously. A HUGE plus in my books is I never once had to wait for my appointment. I never showed up late and they ALWAYS had me back on the machine precisely when I was supposed to be. It really annoys me when you make an appointment for a specific time just sit there and wait for an extra 30 minutes because others have gotten there late. We are all busy and we all have things to do. This business runs on a strict schedule which worked perfectly for me because I'm never late and they always got me in right on time. If you are a habitually late person, be forewarned there may not be as much grace for you. Show up late and you may lose your spot. Last but not least their prices were beyond reasonable. Take it from a person who has done 50+ laser sessions all at different locations, you will be hard pressed to find a better deal. Unlike most places that charge triple the cost of the initial groupon to continue the same sessions, this place charges about the same. Would I recommend this business to my family and friends? I have been getting eyelash extensions done in LA for two years. However, my regular girl was on vacation when I needed mine done right before I went on a three week trip, so I came here and had Tifany do a fill for me. They were super scraggly and uneven, and pretty thin. I was so disappointed. I would have said something and had her fix them, but she'd already taken so long, I could tell she was a little out of her depth, skill-wise, so I just left unsatisfied. I really like them, however, after this most recent experience, I will NEVER go back once my groupon is finished. They constantly hound you to add the facial, yeah i get it it's the finishing touch to the microdermabrasion but i DON'T want it, i never have wanted it. I've never ever asked for it and specifically said i cannot afford it, that the microdermabrasion was a special treat for me as it is. Well the lady that does my microderm ended up giving me one, I figured wow that's really nice for them to go the extra mile for their repeat customers. She's usually very friendly (and pushy with her products, but that's understandable). Afterwards I leave feeling great and get confronted at the door asking if she had given a facial. I told the lady at the door i DID NOT order a facial and left. Two days later I get a phone call from them telling me i did order a facial and that i need to pay for it. Well you're right, i did GET a facial, but i didn't WANT a facial, but i'll pay for it. I told them I wasn't happy with them at all for that and I hear Lee Ann in the back ground clearly bad mouthing me and saying i ordered one. "um, I can hear her" Lee Ann gets on the phone and I have never been spoken to that rudely before. She told me to check my email and what do ya know, there was a facial added to the microderm. Great. Just what i wanted....I told them to charge my card and to NEVER EVER add another facial to my services again. Guess i should have known they would add that without me requesting it. I should have known better from the reviews not to get the Groupon but I did anyway. The facility may not be like others but that didn't matter to me. The ladies working there are all very nice. I wish the service worked. The Dr isn't wearing the normal attire worn by Dr. Jeans and a top. Again the women who work there were very pleasant. So I did 6 treatments of the stronger light lipo. I'm 112 lbs 5'2 so I'm very tiny. And my body fat percentage is already low. All I have is this small love handles that barely hang over my pants enough to make me uncomfortable. Anyway I had the strongest treatments. I got two small blisters on my stomach. My waist supposedly shrank 3/4 of an inch yet my love handles section went up an inch. You are on a very strict diet on this treatment- I followed it. I'm unhappy with the lack of results. Someone left a very similar review, I wish I took it seriously. I have been seeing Dr. Vidal for over 5 years now. I go in for relief when my back is aching, and leave with less or no pain than when I entered. I also get theraputic massage from one of their therapists, (they have several), that not only feels amazing, but gives me the flexability needed to go about my day. This is definitely a place for healing. They even do lashes and facials too! And I cannot say enough about the staff. They are so friendly and treat each customer like a friend. The Better Health and Wellness Center and Dr. Vidal have helped me beyond words. I've been going to Dr. Vidal for almost 20 years! She is a wonderful chiropractor. She has been there to help me with my back. She diagnosed my Scoliosis immediately and still adjusts me once a month. I feel so much better now than I ever have. If I fall or have an issue she gets me in right away. I fell once on my driveway and couldn't catch my breath. I got to the clinic and as it turned out one of my ribs had popped out. She quickly pushed it back in and made other adjustments. Finally I could breathe normally. It was a scary experience that was handled expertly by a very good chiropractor. I also have Fibromyalgia and I decided to try massage to treat it verses medication with nasty side effects. The massage once a week works great. If I go into a flare, the massage stops it. I also don't have as many flare ups as I did originally. I think it is because of Dr. Vidal's approach and care. I am not the only family member using Dr. Vidal. Both my son and sister see her routinely. I find the staff polite and friendly. The Wellness Center began as a chiropractic office and has expanded to include other things. I feel very comfortable in this setting. Obviously I'm a very happy client. I highly recommend her. read more

I used a groupon for a 4 session facial/dermabrasion package. The esthetician was a former personal trainer better suited to weight training than facials. She was very grumpy and abrasive and charged me $35 for 3 very small sample vials of her products! I recently bought a massage from Better Health & Wellness Center from Groupon.com and scheduled the massage on that next Monday. I woke up that morning sick and asked to reschedule and I was told that they would not reschedule and that I would not be refunded my money. They have a 24-hr cancellation policy but would not work with me or have any sympathy. Next time I will just come in and get everyone sick. Horrible customer service! DO NOT GO HERE. I bought a groupon for eyelashes here. The gal that applied them was very nice however, I had adhesive spilled in my hair (I was told to just wash it out with nail polish remover!!! Which didn't work and had to cut a huge chunk of my hair out).... It gets better. I had them put on Thursday, by Friday afternoon and certainly by Saturday morning my eyes had swollen shut and were pussing terribly!!! I thought i was having an allergic reaction. I immediately called the store, NOBODY to be found all weekend. I left messages and didn't hear back. They have no way to reach anyone after hours EVEN in an emergency. My eyes were continuing to get worse. So, I was forced to go somewhere else and pay a LOT of money to get these things taken off. Whatever glue was used was SO strong, it literally took 2hours... (they were trying to preserve what they could of my natural lashes). Later that day I ended up in the ER. I had a full exam. The doctor told me I had SEVERE BACTERIAL CONJUNCTIVITIS. That's right - they'd used DIRTY equipment on my eyes!!!!! Disgusting. When someone finally got back to me Monday Afternoon, they said they were sorry and WOULDN'T refund even my groupon amounts. I can't reiterate enough, do not go here. NOT CLEAN, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, and if they're not collecting money - THEY'RE NOT AVAILABLE. SMALL CLAIMS COURT???? So not worth it. read more
