Grandparent with child was told not to come back because they didn't make the sandwich correctly which happens OFTEN aside from always having eggshells in it which we never complain about. You can see from several reviews that they always mess up orders. Also what a shame to tell a customer with a small child not to go back. Thank you for setting a wonderful example to the child on how to handle business and how to tell customers not to go back because YOU can't get orders right. Take your business elsewhere, where they actually appreciate the customers and have respect for families.

Over the years I'd probably say my experience would account for an average three-star review, but the woman serving me today was so friendly, quick and pleasant that I decided to upgrade them to four stars. One thing is obvious - it's super conveniently located for picking up a bite to eat before getting on the train into NYC. They are right across from the parking garage, and close to the ticket office /machines, so it's easy to get a nice breakfast before embarking on your trip. The service is usually straight forward and fast, which really, you can't ask for more than that since most people will be on their way to catch a train. Quick is what you want. They may not always have a smile, but as long as they get you out of there in a timely manner, you really can't expect too much more. The place is small but clean and there's even a few tables if you want to sit and eat. Their bagels are fresh and most of their food is solid... they aren't the best in town but you come in here because of its proximity to the LIRR. Ultimately, it's a good bagel shop to stop into when you want a bite to eat before hopping on the train, or to even take with you for the ride.

I don't really have high expectations of train station bagel shops, but I must say that Bagels & Such exceeded them, for whatever that's worth. After an ill-advised evening of excess, I found myself in Ronkonkoma in the AM, in desperate need of a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The lovely lady behind the counter asked if I wanted salt, pepper and ketchup on that. I gave her a look that said, "Of COURSE I need the SPK." She nodded knowingly, and we shared a moment. In another life, we could've been soulmates. As I waited, I marveled at the fact that she knew all her other customers, even calling a few by name. And a few minutes later, she handed me exactly what I needed to feel like a human being again. I regret a lot of things in my life (probably not as much as the guy ahead of me will regret that neck tattoo of that girl's name), but this BEC with SPK is not one of them.

I walked in and preceded to pull my money out of my backpack. It was 11:45am, they close at noon, and I was just going in for a buttered bagel and a can of soda. But before I could even finish getting my money out, I was being rushed by the rude lady behind the counter when she said to me in a condescending tone, "Are you getting anything because we're closing soon." - And let's remember I had literally just walked in and went to pull my cash out and haven't even said a single word at this point, but somehow I was beneath this woman and she wanted me to know it! Get over yourself "Karen"! Not only are you no better than anyone else, you're garbage because you think you are! - So I quickly responded yes, and then walked up to the counter to order. I was still respectful and well mannered, even though I felt her looking down on me. I paid $5.09 for a buttered flagel and a small can of soda, which not for nothing seems like a steep price for what I ordered, and I have her $3.09 in change and a $20 bill so I could get $18 back in bills, and she rejected my change and just took what I owed out of my $20. I will never come back here unless it's to stage a boycott against the shameful and disgusting behavior of the staff!

The staff are kind, friendly and do the best they can with each wave of new customers, that are usually rushing to get on the LIRR.

The sausage & egg were not large enough for the bagel. This was also one of the more expensive bagel sandwiches I've bought in the area and I don't think the quality matches the price. The place also felt messy and unclean. Maybe the quality and cleanliness would have been better if I got food first thing in the morning, but I don't think I'll be heading back here anytime soon given the other options in the area.

So I made my way over there to try em out. Long Island really rapes you on a bacon egg and cheese, or at least this crap-hole does. Paid something close to $9 and it was god awful. I have a hard time believing this ever could have been good. I see 80-90% of the pix on here are from one dude three years ago, some look good n all, but this place is anything but. Hard pass. Signed - a guy struggling with living on Long Island again.

Service was outstanding. I sat with family and enjoyed a simple tea and toast today. My sister-in-law order the Matcha with blueberry, she let me grab a sip and it was very refreshing, perfectly balanced blueberry, it was sweet but not too sweet paired with the Matcha tea. Not only delicious but very pleasing to the eye it's beautifully displayed in their clear cup. This place feels upscale, trendy. The food options are plentiful. Can't wait to return. It's a place to stop in and check out.

I thought it would be dead, but to my surprise it was still pretty busy! Its a small little place, but still a few options to sit down and eat or just sip your java. Bonus points for excellent music choice, very indie singer/songwriter style that made for a nice relaxing atmosphere. Starting with the reason you're probably going here, the coffee. I got a peanut butter latte, and my girlfriend got one of their winter seasonal choices in the ginger bread latte. both served hot. The PB was very smooth and lightly sweet, but the ginger bread one in my opinion takes home the trophy this time. As for lunch we did their sandwich/wrap and a salad combo, which as far as I am concerned is the best deal I've ever seen, Panera eat your heart out. I got the buffalo chicken wrap with a side caesar salad, and my girlfriend got the fig & brie sandwich, with a side peach and avocado salad. The buffalo wrap was nice and light with grilled chicken and a buffalo sauce that seemed almost more like a vinaigrette and the caesar was about as classic as it gets. The fig and brie was an unexpected plus for me and eats almost like a caprese sandwich, while the peach and avocado salad was super fresh, fruit in salad doesn't quite do it for me personally, so we split the trophy for our lunches. My only "major" downside is that the food is served on wooden paddles, I personally like a plate, but that is more of me just being a nit-picker more than anything else. Parking is pretty ample with spots both in the front and the back of the attached lot, but be careful when you're pulling up the first time, you're bound to miss it, I know I almost did!
