Have used them twice for dryer vent cleaning, once in 2016 and another in 2022. Excellent service, good communication, does the work pretty fast and did not leave lint and dust everywhere on the yard or roof. The pricing is not particularly competitive based on quotes I have gotten from other companies that were providing me different set of services but also has air duct cleaning services. However, I have heard some of the cheaper ones leave blown out lint in the yards and don't clean up etc so I will continue to use Better Services since I am willing to pay a little bit more for services that are done right without any problems. read more

I am so grateful to Joey at Better Service Co. I called them this morning, Joey came in and wired my furnace properly, and he checked out my thermostat, which another company told me was malfunctioning and wanted to charge me a lot to replace it. Joey explained what had probably happened and assured me the thermostat is fine and recognizes both stages of my furnace. He also doubled checked my outside unit to confirm my AC was properly wired. I recently purchased a top of the line LG Washtower from a "Big Box" store, and the dryer would take multiple cycles to dry. I called out the installers and they said there was nothing wrong with their work, and to call the store to REPLACE the brand new unit! The guys who came out were very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what was wrong and didn't try to sell me on anything that I didn't need. I called out another company before these guys because they advertised a cheaper price. It was a big mistake. This other company was running a scam and they used bait and switch tactics by telling me I needed a "deep clean" and it would cost $800 after they got their foot in the door with a low introductory price. They were very responsive, were able to come out the next day, and took care of something we have not had professionally done since we moved into our home more than 10 years ago. Greatly improved the efficiency of our dryer and addressed potential fire risk by cleaning our exhaust vent. I have attempted to clean the tube myself with a home kit, but can definitely see that I didn't come close to completing the job effectively. The even got on the roof to ensure the exhaust opening was clear and the flapper opened and closed properly. ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS......VERY DISAPPOINTED & now angry. Asked the young man (who seemed very nice) to LEAVE MY HOUSE. First of all, I decided to be "nice" & not use a Groupon or Living Social deal to clean my dryer vent (which I've done twice before). I went on yelp!, saw the GREAT reviews for ATX Dryer Vent, & set up an appt. It was going to be $165, which is, of course, about TWICE what I was used to paying with Groupon, etc. When he showed up, I mentioned that he'd need a ladder to get into the attic because we had a fan up there to help get the lint out. He said "THERE'S AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR THAT". I asked how much & he said $50!!?? $215 to clean my dryer vent..... I told him that the appointment schedulers should MENTION that. He said that I SHOULD HAVE TOLD THEM, but it has NEVER been an extra charge before (even with the DISCOUNTED PRICE!), so I didn't think it was a big deal. WON'T be calling them again. Gavin, the service technician, was on time and very responsive. The Dryer vent was clogged up and my dryer was throwing an Air Flow error code. He discovered we had a birds nest on the duct about 3 ft long. I could not believe what I saw and how it was possible the birds could build such a nest on the Vertical Duct Drop. I just wanted to throw a shout out to "Better Dryer Vent Cleaning", they did a fantastic job cleaning out my dryer vent pipe. I thought I had cleaned it out but was still having major clogging/moisture problems so I gave them a call. They were very prompt and did an excellent job. Apparently my duct has a few turns in it and from turn two to the top it was completely clogged. Jordan was my service guy and he was very friendly and did exceptional work, he showed me the clogged pipes and I couldn't believe what he was able to pull out. We had our last dryer start to catch fire from the clog, luckily I was home when it started so I was able to stop the dryer before the fire started (the lint inside the dryer started burning at the heating element). I called yesterday and was pleased that they could get a service man here today. *5 stars for pleasant telephone communication. Jordyn, the serviceman, called me this morning to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived, he smiled and was very pleasant and professional. He was confident in his ability and diagnosed the issue. He cleaned out the vent and noticed our vent had been painted shut and that was why we were experiencing our dryer issues. We have a tile roof and the vent leads to the roof. A tile roof complicates things because they can break. However, Jordyn was the hero of the day as he was able to reach the vent and get it open without ever having to step on the tiles. I LOVE when people go the extra mile. It show that they take an interest in their work and they want to help their clients. We were so impressed! (We had an earlier experience with a different company that sent a service man who was late, rude and clearly didn't want to do the work.
