I'm so sad. I wanted to like this place. Maybe after a few reviews saying it was too salty and they went overboard on blandness? But we got the margarita pizza as takeout. With the covid19 closing businesses, we wanted to start supporting local. But it was tasteless. My gf and I agreed dominoes or digiorno has more flavor (I hate dominoes by the way and can't tell you the last time I ordered from a place like that). Additionally, though I was stoked it was not dripping in oil, part of the crust was burnt. Anyway, we won't be coming back even when they reopen after this quarantine. Sigh read more

I love Basta so when I found out the same owners opened this little Bistro of Pasta heaven close to home I was sooo excited. The wait staff is so friendly and helpful when it comes to picking the perfect food options. The parking isn't too bad you can park on the street out front and I believe they also have a parking lot in back. I came for lunch and had a caesar salad to start. I love their dressing and they gave me the perfect portion size for an appetizer. For my main meal I ordered the Pink vodka, but requested to add breaded chicken with melted mozzarella on top! Amazing!!! Even the waitress said I am going to have to request it like that from now on. Of course even though I was full I had to have dessert. They had a whole window of options to choose from, but I went for the chocolate cream pie which brought me back to my elementary school days when my made would make mud pie. I've only done delivery from here, so keep that in mind. The first time I tried their pizza, was after the initial opening. The margherita was good but I LOVE white pizza especially when there are dolips of ricotta. I grabbed a piece and it was delicious. Ordered from Bettola a few weeks ago and finally getting around to leaving this review. After calling around to a few different places with no avail, I decided to try Bettola. I live down the street from here and haven't given it a try til now. I ordered the chicken parm for both me and my fiancé. Overall, I would say it was decent. For the price, I would say that the portion could've been a bit bigger. I have had bigger portions at other restaurants for the same price or less. I also think it lacked a little in the flavor department and needed a little extra salt. Atleast for my taste. My fiancé thought it was pretty good though, which is why I put three stars instead of two. Also which we could've chosen our pasta rather than just be given the default that came with it. read more

If you're looking for a fun, hip meal at a reasonable price, you've found it! I've been several times now, and am really impressed with the offerings. Highlights: the rum punch cocktail, mozzarella bites, and delicious pizzas. Only downsides: music tends to be a bit too loud to allow for easy conversation, and the portion size of the mozzarella bites seems to have shrunk from 7 pieces to 4, but the price remains the same. What an awesome little surprise! My brother wanted some pizza after a long trip from Ireland. So I picked him up at TF Green and we found this place on the way back home. The parking was behind the restaurant off the road and was well lit. We were greeted very friendly by the staff who made us not wait long for a cozy spot. We both enjoyed the atmosphere and didn't feel cramped. We ordered the Marylyn Monroe pizza and a side of truffle fries from a glowing recommendation from our waitress. She hit the nail on the head and the food was excellent and ready fast. I've had a lot of pizza in my life as a good Italian boy and plan on bringing my mom next time. I wish I could have given Bettola 10 stars just for their customer service alone. Every dish I've tried has been very tasty, but the gold star goes to eggplant rollatini...just order it...just do it! In addition to the delicious eggplant, their customer service is outstanding. After a good friends father passed away, we wanted to do what any good Italian does when people die...make sure their family is fed. I called Bettola to inquire about delivery since I was afraid Grubhub wouldn't be reliable. Enter AshIey, the Bettola angel! I explained the situation, and she insisted that, even though they don't deliver, she would stay past the end of her shift to delivery the dinner to my friend and his family. We were in the neighborhood for a show at the Park Theatre and decided to give it a try without knowing much about it. I am still thinking about the grapefruit moscow mule that I had and made friends order it when they got there. So good. Went the other night for dinner and drinks, had an extremely pleasant experience. Ordered a truffalo chicken pizza for my fiancé and it came out with quite a lot of the buffalo sauce on it. The waitress could tell she wasn't really feeling it, so she took it upon herself to tell her manager and the manager insisted on making us a new one to take home with the sauce on the side! All of the appetizers we tried were amazing (artichokes, truffle fries, wings), and the homemade pasta and chicken parm was incredible. Drinks were strong and delicious. Stopped by for a cocktail with a girlfriend and was so happy we did. Sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly. Drink was good- we each had a Rolfe Square Spritz (Aperol Spritz) and they were refreshingly delicious. Atmosphere was great. Not super busy but very cute decor. We decided to get an app even though we both already had dinner. We had the eggplant rollatini and the bartender was nice enough to bring us some warm delicious bread for dipping. We have ordered from here twice now and both times we loved it! The first time we ordered the lasagna and the pancetta sandwich. It was great and cooked perfectly, lasagna was one of the best I've had from a restaurant, ever! The other night we ordered the truffle shuffle sandwich and the chorizo pizza. And again, it was cooked to perfection! I was raised eating traditional Italian dishes, my grandmother is from a small town in Italy, and came here when she was 18. I live in Edgewood, work in Providence, and am spoiled for pizza placed. Caserta's, Pizza Gourmet, Calvitto's...each place does something unique. Into this competitive market is Bettola's and the pizzas are different, fun, and tasty enough to keep up with and distinguish it from the others. The non-pizza/lighter options are...ok. I ordered an arugula salad that was, for $10, just a big handful of grocery store arugula with lemon squirted on it (though, fair enough, it was pretty much described that way on the menu.) It was good--I like arugula--but is the kind of thing I make for myself at home for a fraction of the price. I wish they applied the same creativity to their veggie/healthy dishes as they did to their pizzas and sandwiches. At least one fun salad (this doesn't have to be an oxymoron) or side of broccoli rabe or something. Then I would go more often! All in all highly recommended. read more

Went to Bettola last night for the first time. Glad to see this great addition to the Rolfe Square area - kudos to the owners of Basta for opening this great spot in the true heart of Cranston. The place looks fantastic and the staff are friendly and welcoming whenever I've been in (bought gift certificates there for the holidays). The place has a great vibe to it, fun music, and how nice to visit a place that only has one discreet TV at the bar to let the focus be on socializing and conversation. There was a great mix of people of all ages, all kinds of groups. Call-ahead reservations are a bonus. Our server was great and the food was delicious and served quickly. We had the Roman artichokes appetizer, a Balboa sandwich, Bianco pasta, and Spumoni for dessert. All good. I like their emphasis on quality ingredients and local foods. Excellent meal, fun place.
