I was in desperate need of a dentist for routine care. I found out about Betty Wang's office through a few neighbors on Nextdoor that recommended this dentist. With much positive feedback on Yelp and other platforms, I made an appointment. INTERIOR The office is cozy, modern, and clean. STAFF + DENTISTS Expect a greeting upon entrance from a staff member. Everyone is amicable and thorough. Dr. Wang did my initial assessment, and Dr. Kim took over for the routine cleaning. They both were delightful and detailed. They made sure that if I had any questions, they would be answered. INSURANCE B.W., D.D.S. accepts pretty much all dental insurance. Everything is listed on their website. APPT I emailed the office via their website and received a response within the day. It was about a two-month wait. They are on top of communication, which I greatly respect--many reminders via email and text leading up to the appointment day. When you walk-in the office design and aesthetics is so thought out, it feels very modern, new and clean. Love their office design! Been coming here for couple years. Little gem of a place. Super clean and pretty inside. Nice clean floral aesthetic with orchids and jazz music. All their equipment looks new and snazzy from what I can tell. Maria and Sheila at the front desk are always very helpful and funny and on top of things cause I always forget my schedule. Jenice the hygienist, did a super thorough cleaning, went back and cleaned some stubborn areas, and was still gentle and neat and didn't make a mess. She explained what she was doing and what parts of my regimen I could improve without making me feel like a kid Speaking of dentists, Dr Kim is the best! I can't say enough about how wonderful Dr. Betty Wang and her staff are. She is kind and gentle and goes out of her way to make sure you feel comfortable and secure. From the moment you walk in and are greeted at the desk by the amazing receptionists to the time you are in the chair, Dr Wang and her staff are absolutely the best. I could go on and on about the many things that Dr Wang does to make you feel valued and heard, but I will conclude by saying, my daughter had a complicated cavity. Not only did Dr Wang take fantastic care of her, her office reached out the following day to check on how she was feeling. That type of care is no longer heard of in this day and age. This office is remarkable (and ultra-clean)! I was already happy with their office and staff pre-COVID, but even more impressed since then. They've made every possible attempt to eliminate any fears of infection. To name just a few: -COVID questionnaire prior to the appointment, no waiting room, then temp check and sanitizing your hands in the lobby, blood pressure check using a disposable sleeve over your arm(!), hydrogen peroxide rinse before any work, you can place your own glasses and mask in a bag -Dentists (Dr. Kim and Dr. Wang) and dental hygienists all wear N95 respirators covered by a disposable mask, all under a face shield, with new gowns used between patients, use of rubber dams -All tools are individually packaged, no ultrasonic tools, only manual -Paperless checkout in the treatment room And to top it all off, they even knew it was my birthday and all came by to wish me happy birthday! read more

The front desk gal is very helpful and even though I can be really difficult to reach, she was patient and reminded me of the forms I needed to complete to get my X-rays transferred to the office. She also went the extra mile after not hearing back from me and called my insurance to see how much it would be for me to get new X-rays instead of getting them sent over from my previous dentist. Saved me money! Yay! Both the dental assistant and the dentist were so friendly and really helpful in explaining various procedures and when I might experience pain. I really appreciated that they checked in on my comfort level and made sure that I was doing okay throughout the appointment. Overall really nice place and I'm happy with my services :) I thought I'd post some pictures since it sometimes makes a difference in choosing a dentist :) very cute place. read more

The fact that I am writing this review hours after I left my teeth cleaning means I am extremely happy with Dr. Wang and all of her staff! Have been coming here for years and this was the first time visiting their new office and during a pandemic no less. First things first, they were extremely clean and sanitized everything before and after every use. There were hand sanitizer stations, the staff wore face shields, and they store your mask, hat, etc. safely when you arrive. I felt very safe during this visit and that the staff had done everything possible for a safe environment. As for the teeth cleaning, everything went smoothly as usual. They explained each procedure before they proceeded, repeatedly ask if you are doing ok, and also explained that due to safety protocol some procedures what not be done. I didn't miss the polishing aftertaste anyways. They take their time and make the whole experience as pleasant as going to the dentist during a pandemic can be. I've been coming here for about a year now and I'm totally satisfied. The staff is so warm and friendly. I have extreme sensitivity in my teeth and usually have quite a bit of discomfort during cleaning with other dentists. However each cleaning I've had here has been completely relaxed with on a small bit of discomfort when they get in those areas. The hygienists really know how to be careful. Where some doctors can be heavy handed these people are delicate and respectful. I've also missed a few appointments and where they usually charge a fee I was given grace with all but the last missed appointment. (My apologies! It won't happen again!) Dr Wang, Kim and the entire staff are excellent, compassionate and professional doctors, nurses and assistants. I have fear of anything to do with dentists (sorry, nothing personal there!) and yet I'm able to go to the clinic knowing that they'll treat me with kids' gloves, apply as much numbing as I need and take the time to let the numbing to act so I won't feel a thing. I'm officially writing my first review because Dr. Wang and her team deserve to be recognized. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite some time so I wanted to make sure my first experience back in the chair was a pleasant one. There weren't many reviews available but the ones present were all positive and she was located in my neighborhood so I gave her a shot. Seriously, the best dental experience ever. Dr Wang is super thorough and explains everything she does and why. Her entire team is super friendly and knowledgeable. Her receptionist, Jessica, called the insurance company prior to my procedures and told me exactly how much I was responsible for so there were no surprises. This was new for me and was deeply appreciated as in the past I have had dental work done and found out I owed hundreds of dollars via a bill in the mail months later. This place is friendly and they have nice waiting chairs, air conditioning, disposable toothbrushes to use when you get in, thy offer water and tea and gum, and they have free wifi. Their methods and tools seem modern and up to date. If you don't have insurance there is a discount. And most of all, Betty and the other employees are actually nice and friendly! Go there! First visit for a regular check-up and cleaning. Both Dr. Wang and all her staff are shockingly polite and nice! They were very thorough in explaining all the procedures they were going to conduct, even the standard ones related to x-rays and teeth cleaning. Everyone made sure that I was comfortable and that I was OK to proceed at each step. The cleaning itself was better than expected, I usually leave the dentist with a sore mouth, but not the case today. The office is cozier than I'm used to but I don't have any issues with that. Dr. Wang's office does have a 24h late cancellation fee that isn't covered by insurance, though I didn't experience an issue with this. I will be coming back! I was greeted at the front door to sanitize my hands and check in. The office is beautiful and impeccable, super Covid-safe, staff incredibly friendly and personable, my teeth feel sparkling clean and the hygienist Jodi was so knowledgeable and sweet. I truly love this office. I have only been here once but this office seems to know that a first impression is precious and should not be squandered. I have been in search of a dentist to have continued visits with. Everything was wonderful about the experience. Jessica at the front desk was responsive to emails and phone calls. She attempted to get my x-rays from a dentist I had visited earlier this year and they did not cooperate, so she kept me up to date a let me know that we would be retaking the x-rays. She also informed me that it would be a 2 hour appointment for new clients. They were very flexible I had an appointment at 1:00 pm but had a meeting in Foster City and needed to push it back. They were very accommodating and moved it to 2:00 pm. The day of the visit was just as pleasant and professional. I got to meet the lovely Jessica and filled out some paperwork. I was then greeted by Sheila. She was very pleasant and informative. We had a nice time exchanging stories about our lives as we got my x-rays completed and the prep done to analyze what was needed for my teeth. Dr. Betty Wang was very informative with everything she was doing. She gave me a play by play of what was going on in my mouth. What the things she was saying meant and what to worry about and not worry about. I had one of the gentlest cleaning in my life. Even though she actually got a lot of built up tarter off my teeth. She was upfront with which teeth she felt would need work and which teeth she felt we could "watch" monitor. Just a tiny prick from the needle. Confident maneuvers made me feel like I was in good hands. - HONESTY: don't rip me off or suggest procedures that weren't necessary (like my previous dentist did! -see "Affordability" below) - DETAILED INFORMATION: thorough explanation of my dental condition, next steps, what to expect during and after the procedure; (I didn't expect this, but having it was super nice:) real-time updates on discoveries + regular checking in on my condition during the procedure - PATIENCE: answering all my questions and calming my nerves - GENUINE CARE: Dr. Wang said I could call her cell anytime if I experienced unusual discomfort after the procedure. sweeeet! - AFFORDABILITY: granted, I had dental insurance. Her equipment is the latest technology. The digital xray is very cool. The images were immediate and I could see what she's explaining straight from the laptop in the room. 4. She and her staff pay attention to keep the environment clean and sanitary. 5. The office is well furnished, has free wi-fi, and coffee. Even the magazine rack is organized and continuously updated. I am not gonna say she is a bad dentist but we didn't have a good experience there. Generally we hate upsell. My mom was there for a second opinion about her crown. She was paying out of her own pocket. The front desk was adamant about doing a full mouth X-ray and teeth cleaning before we could even talk to this dentist. I've been to many dentists and Betty Wang is the best dentist I've had. Betty is very knowledgeable and really thorough with her work. In the first appointment she told me she saw signs of teeth grinding even though none of my previous dentists noticed. She also took the time to show me how she came to the conclusion that I grinded my teeth. You usually don't hear "comfortable" and "dentist appointment" in the same sentence but that was how I felt during my last appointment. Her staff is also top notch and everyone is very pleasant. I've been seeing Dr. Wang and her hygienist Jodie for almost five years. She and her the staff are the best I've ever had. Patient, professional, courteous, and doesn't recommend procedures that aren't necessary. Since I don't have dental insurance I appreciate that her prices are reasonable. When I needed two crowns and we talked about doing the eight on top in front because I felt others were thinning and chipping, she recommended a prosthodontist instead of attempting this herself. I have friends whose dentists did this eight crown procedure and they didn't get the kind of expertise needed. Betty Wang is the only dentist that I have been to in my life that I don't dread going to! I have a huge anxiety issue about the dentist. I always, I mean, ALWAYS have some problem I need to follow up with. It's never just a simple check up..that is until I met Dr. Wang. She is gentle, thorough, friendly, and never ever makes you undergo procedures that are not needed. There is no "upselling" here. Dr. Wang was available at a moment's notice, on a weekend when I broke a tooth. I was scared and she was there helping me at a moments' notice. Jodie has been my hygenist for years, and she's got a gift of putting people at ease. Michelle, at the front desk is super organized and helpful. They've even seen my 4 year old 3 times now, and have never pushed beyond his comfort zone. They are super understanding about children, and I've been comfortable enough to schedule both my childs visit and mine at the same visit. There was no need to feel like he would be "in the way". Visiting a dentist has always been a dreadful experience for me until I came across Dr. Wang. I decided to visit Dr. Wangs office after getting a referral from my friend and reading through the nice reviews about her. Dr. Wangs office is cozy & comforting. The friendly staff and the soothing music calmed me down right away. Michelle, the helpful receptionist, offered me freshly brewed Starbucks coffee during my short wait. She then brought me a nice & warm blanket when she realized I was trembling (out of nervousness) while lying on the dental chair waiting to be examined. Jodi, the skillful hygienist, did an extremely thorough job to clean my tooth. In my previous visits to other dental offices, the hygienist usually spent no more than 30 minutes in cleaning my teeth. I was surprised that Jodi spent almost a full hour to do the work. She also spent some time to teach me how to properly take care of my gum. Jodi told me at Dr. Wangs office, its the quality that counts. And Dr. Wang is absolutely fantastic. My previous dentist had asked me to get certain work done for my teeth (which would be covered by my insurance). However, after Dr. Wang went through a close examination, she told me everything was fine with my teeth and the work my previous dentist suggested was absolutely unnecessary. Its rare to find such an honest dentist like Dr. Wang who puts patients well-being as priority. And last but not least, after the treatment and examination were over, Michelle handed me a nice hot towel so I could freshen myself up. With the nice coffee, soothing music, cozy blanket and the warm towel, I felt that I came to Dr. Wang's office for a spa treatment !
