The place is nice, and the staff is wonderful. Exceptional customer service, but I wish I could say the same about the product. The coffee isn't anything special. The espresso machine they had behind the counter was automatic, which greatly impacts the flavor and quality of the espresso. Only tried a few drinks, but they weren't up to par with what you would expect from a privately owned cafe. The food was clearly frozen, almost cafeteria style food. If you enjoy Starbucks, or other coffee chains, this place would be perfect for you. If you're looking for an experience that a real authentic cafe gives you with a high quality espresso machine, an quality espresso with a deep rich flavor, and well trained baristas, I would stay away. They could easily be great. Bring in a chef to help train and develop a menu. Also, upgrading the espresso machine and having some barista training and practice would make the coffee 100x better. read more

A real coffee house with all the basic high end drinks and home made specialties that change daily. Coffee drinks are amazing with a fun twist always. What can I say... pancakes are a mood thing for me. Every time I go in there I am order these too! Why? Big and fluffy pancakes! I know it's a coffee house but they're known for those pancakes too! Bakery items change a lot so get it while they have it! Be prepared to bring something home because it is that fricking awesome. You can't just stop for gas on this corner with out treating yourself to an espresso! I like the Emily Dickson drink personally. O Yha, drinks are named after authors. Don't be put off by the nearby gas station!!! A friend and I came in this morning. The service was fantastic. They were out of cinnamon rolls which was disappointing. Instead I got a double chocolate muffin. It was delicious! I also got a Hughes latte. Yum!! My friend got a blueberry muffin and a coffee. Both were good. The Atmosphere was so charming. All of the drinks were named after authors. there's a small fireplace with a nice comfy couch. Will definitely be back!!!! read more

If you are looking for a true artisan coffee, this isn't the place. Made with a machine like Starbucks. Environment is very cute and comfy.

On our way from driving to Florida from Georgia, we started to feel groggy halfway through. Instead of looking for a Starbucks or a gas station pick me up, we stopped here and we were so glad we did. My partner and I are both into classic literature, which is the theme here. I had a butterbeer espresso and boy! That was amazing. It was very tough to decide because all of the beverages looked quirky and delicious. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The coffee seems to be brewed with premium grounds and is very delicious. If I lived anywhere close to here, I would be here every day. read more

Had coffee and breakfast here this morning with my husband. He ordered black coffee and I had the Arthur miller (vanilla frappe, no whip). The woman that took our order was extremely friendly and more than willing to make suggestions for us. My husband said the coffee was great. My frappe was really good, not too sweet! We also had two cinnamon rolls by recommendation and they were awesome. They have a loyalty program attached to your phone number that eventually texts you when you've earned anything (super convenient). Overall, we loved the experience and atmosphere here. Nice atmosphere. Coffee made way too sweet. I requested one brown sugar packet mixed in. Barista used store standard of three packets. When I complained, they charged full price for a replacement. Offered me a coffee card with two punches. I declined as not returning. read more

I would have given this three stars in the past because it is the only place like it that I know of in the area. It had a nice atmosphere and offered a place to go, meet up with friends over a decent cup of coffee, and maybe a light snack. However, the last couple times I went it was disappointing at best. This last time put me over the top in the arena of frustration. First finding a seat that wasn't squeezed in could not be accomplished, but I figured no problem since the only other customers were on the little couch I would just push the chair behind me up to it's table so I could sit down without having my breasts resting on my table. You might wonder why I didn't just sit at the booth, answer...I did not want to be selfish in case a larger group of friends came in and needed it (one did before we were finished). After claiming a table for myself and my daughter who had not arrived yet I went to look at the menu. Feeling a bit adventurous, I tried to read the description of the other types of coffee drinks that I, in all my coffee loving years, I had not tried. Razzberry mocha being the only departure from regular or Expresso I had made in the past. Anyway, the chalkboard with the various descriptions of the drinks is in the back corner behind the counter up by the ceiling and I could not read the descriptions under the names. I asked the young man behind the counter if he could please tell me what a latte and a frappe were since I couldn't read the sign, he simply said they are cold. So again I asked what they were exactly and the difference between them. His answer...one is blended and the other is on ice. Since I was in the mood something cold I ordered a frappe and ordered my daughter her latte (her norm). At this point my daughter arrived and said she was hungry so we ordered sandwiches after I asked the young man what type of bread the chicken salad came on and he replied "Italian". All this to get to the main problem. The drinks came out and the frappe, I was told was simply my choice of coffe blended was in fact an icecream drink, ugh. Well what the heck at least now I knew what one was. Now, here come the sandwiches...very plain tasteless chicken salad on dry crunchy toasted store bought (cheap) white bread. I tried to eat it and even my daughter gave it a taste only to become confused because in the past she had this "same" sandwich. She said it had been on thick soft bread and was very flavorful, not this one. I brought it to the counter to try and turn this around to an enjoyable lunch but was further astounded at how the problem was handled, or rather not handled. As I walked up to the counter the young man departed and a woman came out and said "yeah what?". Shocked, I simply stated that I was told it would be on Italian bread (this clearly was not), she stated, "that is". Turned off by her cold, non-customer service attitude, I further stated that the chicken salad was also dry and tasteless. She then got very upset and told me that it was her nanna's recipe and everybody loves it. Clearly I was not in a place were there was going to be any attempt at rectifying the situation, weather it stemed from a miss communication or simply a difference in taste. This place, this day wanted nothing to do with helping a customer walk out satisfied rather then with a bad taste in their mouth (pun intended).
