Most mechanics want cars in and out as fast as possible to maximize profits. Josh goes the extra mile to double and triple check his work to make sure all repairs are done accurately and professionally. Josh has proven to me time and time again that he will take a the time necessary to make sure everything is completed perfectly. Josh Bevan sets a great example for how mechanics should handle customers and their vehicles. I tasked him with a large amount of work on an extremely neglected, rust-riddled 1999 Chevy 3/4 ton truck that came into my posession. I like how he understands the "common failure points" of certain makes/models and helps prioritize work that should be done asap, work that can wait, etc. Josh and I both understood from the start the work wouldn't be cheap or easy. The estimate I recieved was detailed and transparent, and I liked that he offered a discount if we did all the work at once. Very fair - most shops don't do this, but as a person who has done many different repairs on all numbers of machines, I understand it's easier to make certain fixes if you already have it apart! I told him "do it all", and a week later, the truck was ready. It runs, drives, steers, and stops like a whole new truck now and I will definately be returning when I need more repairs or service done. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but this one is absolutely necessary. I've had very bad car problems, bad mechanic luck and A LOT of money gone. On Friday my 2010 car (not THAT old) broke down for the 3rd time in 5 months! First repair was $3400 for all new brakes, full service and all new tires, second I took it in because the transmission was "rough" coming out of first... wahla! Needs a transmission rebuild!! Another $3800! Not 6 days after being without it for 3 weeks, full service, rebuild and given the run around ...I'm on the side of the freeway, again! The last 2 times I did research, asked for referrals, called mechanic after mechanic, did my do-diligence & still had very unfortunate experiences. This time I just found the closest mechanic to where my car was broken down and surprise, I couldn't be happier!! Josh at Bevan is awesome!! He referred me to Nestor's Towing (who was also phenomenal), got my car, did a full diagnoses, changed my tire (oh yes, one of the brand new tires shredded as I was breaking down) and did a full write up as to all that was going on. When I got there, his adorable dog greeted me, he took the time to walk me through everything going on (that brand new transmission is spewing trans oil everywhere), was respectful, knowledgeable and after all this work, I was walking away spending under $100 out the door! I wish I found Josh months ago! I can't recommend him enough and I will be coming to him from now on. He was honest about repairs he'd be happy to do and ones he recommended weren't his specialty...I've never met a straightforward mechanic like this.
