    This is a very safe gas station. First, it is located in a residential area. Which means it has a higher proportion of locals as opposed to tourists or folks who are lost. Also the attendant at the register is very close to the service islands which means he or she is within earshot and can see what is going on at the station. There is no remote island that is out of the attendant's field of view. They are still behind glass at night so if something does go down your out-of-luck in terms of help. The price is suprising low for a 76 gas station. I would even compare it very close to Arco which is great. The only minus is that the air and water pump is in an un-lit area. So if you need to use it at night you find yourself feeling-around to make sure the hoses are connected if you need to refill; that is annoying. Inside the have a variety of merchandise, mostly gum and drinks (with no soda fountains unfortunately). There are chips and gem-donuts for sale, but the space is a little small and more traditional of gas stations before they turned into huge convenience stores.

I ordered a used replacement from eBay and after it arrived I looked for a body shop that could install it. After reading glowing reviews, I called Hyperion to ask if hey could schedule the installation, expecting to wait a few days. Instead the guy on the phone said to bring it in at 10:30 the next day. I didn't get there as a tweak in the door itself caused my overhead lights to stay on and drain my battery. I arranged for a friend to take me home, expecting to leave the car for at lrast the afternoon. But manager (I did not get hois name) said it would just be a half hour. He called over a ytechnician and 20 minutes later the car was ready! I had some body damage and the manager quoted me a price apologetically, noting that Lexus Parts are super expensive. I said well, it's a 15 year old car - probably isn't even worth the cost of the repairs. I started to walk away and stopped, turned and said, "Wait, I haven't paid you!" And he said, "no charge". I was dumbfounded and only hope I thanked him emough. Great work, fast, and even complimentary. I'm in awe. Go there!

    This is a long, LONG overdue review for Stacey and his brother Charles for the years of service…read morethey gave me from ~2013 to 2020 at Affordable Care of Hollywood. Back when I lived in Atwater Village, I brought them my old 2006 Corolla. I consider myself a pretty capable DIYer, so if there was ever a problem that required significantly more time, labor, or diagnosis than I could reasonably handle, I took it to Affordable Care. They consistently did honest, high-quality work at fair prices. But what really won my loyalty, and what has stayed with me to this day, was Stacey's EXCEPTIONAL communication and honesty. He had a way of explaining problems that helped me understand both the issue itself and the scope of the repair. One experience in particular left a lasting impression on me. I had a stubborn check engine light that took over a month to properly diagnose after multiple attempted fixes. When they finally tracked it down to a failing charcoal vapor canister, Stacey told me he would not charge me for the part or the labor because of how difficult and drawn-out the process had been and because of the expense I had already incurred. I respected him immensely for that. He more than earned my loyalty. Over the next few years, I brought the car back for other issues, including transmission and clutch work, starter problems, and other repairs. Even after I moved to the San Gabriel Valley in '18, I still fought traffic just to keep bringing my car to them. That says a lot! I have since sold that old, trusty Corolla and now drive an EV. I do not believe Stacey works on EVs, but I genuinely wish there was a Stacey for EVs. Stacey and Charles are, hands down, the best tradesmen I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I am very glad to see from recent reviews that they still seem to be providing the same level of quality and integrity. If you have a Honda or Toyota in need of repairs, you would be lucky to have them work on it.

He diagnosed the hybrid system problem and, based on the error codes, he recommended that we look into a warranty that Toyota had issued. Meaning -- he sent us to the dealership for fully covered work rather than try to convince us to do the same job with him "for cheaper." He was direct, treated us like he was our ally. And he was. He walked us through the error codes, what they meant. His diagnosis fee was roughly 25% of the dealership price. What a mensch. Thank you, Stacey!
