I have used Beverly Hills Cab a number of times with great results. However, a few weeks ago I was walking from my car (in a parking lot) to Starbucks on Ventura (at Laurel Canyon) and saw a cab come careening through. I was in one of the (not-terribly-well-marked) crosswalks, and I put up my hand to indicate that I was crossing (the driver was going like 40 MPH but was far enough away that he could see me). He not only didn't stop or slow down, he SPED UP and gave me the finger as I jumped back so as not to get murdered by him. He then stopped, waved his middle finger at me, and then tried to zoom off but came to a stop sign where a woman and a little girl were crossing. Luckily they'd seen what happened and grabbed the number from the back of his cab, so I could call to report him. I'm giving BH Cab 2 stars because of the good drivers I've had and the promptness of getting me from here to there over the years, but I have to deduct a lot of stars because of this one bad egg. I know that pedestrians can sometimes pop out of nowhere, but this was in a parking lot filled with people and, you know, don't give someone the finger because you almost ran them over! First time I've ever used a cab to get to the airport and I had a great experience with BH Taxi. I scheduled a taxi to pick me up in West Hollywood at 5 in the morning, 3 days in advance, to get to LAX as their fare is $40 flat. Taxi was right on time and only took 20 minutes to get to the airport. I wasn't expecting traffic to be so easy. I could've slept in another half hour :) The driver helped me with my luggage in and out of the car. A rarity anymore. The driver was very nice and professional. I forgot to get a receipt or I could name him directly. I'd definitely schedule a ride with them again. read more

Dear lord, avoid BH Cab like it's the plague. I can't count the number of times I've hopped in one of their cabs and been significantly over-charged. Trips from Fairfax and SM Blvd to Robertson and SM usually run roughly $10 but have cost me upwards of $18 when using this company. On NYE, a driver in cab #3232 tried to charge me a $30 "minimum fee" to take me from Laurel and SM to San Vicente and SM. When I called him out on his illegal shenanigans and told him I'd call the company and report him, he took off but not before I got his cab #. Be especially vigilant if you take their cabs after drinking. Many of their drivers prey on inebriated passengers by inflating fares. I would rather put a saddle on my dog and ride it for a mile than step foot in another Beverly Hills cab. You've been warned. read more

The cab arrived on time. From there things do downhill, and badly. The driver says : "the fare will be about $10". OK. He has "Forgive them Lord for Thy Know Not what They Do" scrawled in thick heavy repeated pen strokes up on a clipboard up next to his seat. During the trip he complains about (1) my hotel: "they're corrupt, the other cabbies pay them with booze and cigarettes for good fares (2) Koreans: "they're all ruthless" (3) me and my wife: "one elite married to another elite" and (4) politicians: "they're corrupt scum". Well, I guess he had to get something right. We arrive after an unusually large number of turns, but I'm not complaining. I give him $15. He says to me: "the fare was $14.25 do you want your 75 cents?" I realize that there is no real tip. I try to give him more money. He throws my receipt on the sidewalk, looks at my money and says "keep it you might need it" and drives off. This guy is nuts. If I saw him again, I think I'd get another cab. read more

I was very happy with my trip with Beverly Hills Cab Company, granted that might have to do with knowing that I was going to be able to drive again. Knowing that this was the last day of the ban, I called them because then I wouldn't have to walk home from the bus stop after dark. I called, the cab was there within 10 minutes. Looks like it's no secret that this cab co is a POS. I work at a restaurant and we always call BH cab co for our international guests who don't have Uber or just want a cab called for them. They're usually late but by 10 minutes at most. Today, they took 40 MINUTES! And every time I called them they would tell me the cab was 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 4 minutes away. When I explained how this was for a guest and accuracy instead of lying would be preferable, the operator said to me "do you want the cab or not?" After 40 minutes and 18 calls, the cab shows up and is OUTRIGHTLY MAD at me coming out and saying we requested him 40 minutes ago! He threatened to speed off but the guests were right there and I was able to basically shepherd them into the taxi. THIS CAB CO IS THE RUDEST AND LATEST CAR SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES! And they obviously do nothing to improve their business so DO NOT USE THIS CAB CO! read more

I have never taken a ride in a Beverly Hills Cab, and after reading the reviews here I doubt that I ever will. I was traveling down Sunset Blvd. the other night and a Bev Hills cab goes around me INTO THE OPPOSITE LANE and continues on, through a crosswalk, almost hitting a pedestrian. I pulled up next to him at the next light and told him that I was going to report him. He yelled all kinds of obscenities at me and told me to go ahead and he'd KILL ME. Wow. My daughter was in the car and it upset her greatly. I am going to call Beverly Hills Cab and report him tomorrow, but I really doubt if they'll care at all. Forget using Bev Hills Cab, there are many other cab companies in L.A. that are good. One of them being United Taxi. I've used them a handful of times and have generally had a horrible experience. There was one instance where I had reserved for a pickup at a certain time. When the cab driver came he gave me a hard time since he had come early and had to wait for me. He was quite rude when I attempted to gently close the door and didn't put enough effort into slamming it on the first try. Then he proceeded to inform me that La Cienega was fairly packed and it would be better to take 405 to the airport, however, he would need to charge me more, even though they have a flat rate advertised to get to the airport from Beverly Hills. He was empathetic and sincerely apologetic and assured me the driver was under disciplinary action. LOVE cab drivers, they're always polite, nice, and don't try to gouge you. The dispatchers are rude. They don't like being asked questions, they refuse to put you through to a supervisor/manager, and will often hang up on you. Great cab service, LOUSY phone customer service. read more

Called 8:05am - dispatcher had no idea or inclination or method of finding out where the corner of two major roads Pico Blvd and S. Robertson, fine I went outside and read the street number off the Starbucks door. 5-10 minutes for a ride to LAX, sounded great. 30 minutes goes buy (it's raining) first dispatcher just hangs up. Call back oh, car will be with you in a couple of minutes, 25 minutes goes by, I give up as its raining and I have a flight to get to. I used Beverly Hills Cab Co while on a business trip. I took their cabs to work each day, and took one to Santa Monica one evening. The cab drivers were very friendly and cheerful. The cars were super clean. The cabbies did drive a little fast, but what cabbie doesnt? Plus they didn't drive any faster than I do in a city I am familiar with. Rates are a little higher than Independent Cab, but the clean fresh smelling cars and super nice drivers are worth the extra dollar to me. I would definitely use Beverly Hills Cab Co again. read more

I did not use their service but I was in traffic and their cab (#3201) kept high beaming me and my children although we were in bumper to bumper traffic on the 101 north. When we finally got moving, this cab driver was cutting everyone off and was swerving all over the place. I contacted the dispatch and left a message for the supervisor to inform them that one of their drivers is going to hurt someone and a few days later, I am still waiting for a call back. I would never use them know that one of their drivers is a maniac and the management is not responsive to concerned consumers. I don't have much comment on the taxi service itself other than it got me home competently from LAX but after paying with my credit card the driver forgot to give it back to me. After a SINGLE phone call to them I got multiple calls to arrange sending my card back to me which was very much appreciated and saved me tremendous headache. 5 stars for customer service. read more

Usually decent service.... Today complete lack of service or follow through said 10 min. Called at 20 minutes they put me on hold for 4 min said maybe another 15-20 they didn't have drivers., now 35 min past time needed to leave to airport called independent cab showed up in 10. If you don't have cabs call me back and tell me so I can drive or make alternate plans.... VS stressing me out and risking missing 2 flights....moving to Independent Cab to try them.. read more

This company does not even rate 1 star. We had requested a wheelchair enabled transport (van) to accommodate the needs of an elderly stroke victim. Was told 20-30 minutes, Ok. However the vehicle dispatched was a Toyota Prius... Great car but not enabled for wheelchairs. After another 2 hours a van arrived with a driver who knew nothing about how to load or secure wheelchairs. After a bit of a struggle (he did not know about locking Wheels, etc) and when he could not affix the seat belt he said that our friend was "too fat"! when in truth the strap was too short to accommodate a Wheelchair. By the way, the meter we running the whole time he was here. Our poor patient friend had to wait an additional hour to get a car to take her home... Ridiculous for any individual much less one who is challenged. read more

Terrible service. I only had to go about 1/4 mile but I had 2 luggage plus my daily bag, so I needed a taxi. Taxi driver arrived and when he found out where I was going which was 1/4 miles away, he told me why I'm not walking instead. I told him, the reason why I'm not walking is I have 2 luggage plus a bag to carry! 2 luggage which he put in a trunk himself. I told him no matter how far I was going, it was his job as a taxi driver to take me wherever I need to go. He kept arguing with me with a such an attitude. That was the first and last time I used that taxi service. My mother needed a cab to get out of my house before my landlord came (because she didn't know my mom was living there ) and I had to take a lot of stuff in my car to my new house. So, we called a cab. They got there on time, but from far I could see the driver's face. He didn't look happy. He got out of the car and looked when my mom bought two suitcases downstairs and a bunch of bags full of stuff. Then, without anybody asking, he said "I came from West Hollywood!". I started to get angry with his attitude, that kept increasing. While me and my boyfriend helped my mother with her stuff inside the car, the stupid driver just watched. My mom got inside the car to put the last thing, and while she was talking the as*hole driver closed the dorr really hard. That was it; I wanted to punch him. I didn't care that my landlord was coming or that I was with a car full of clothes; I got in there with my boyfriend and drove to the place where my mom was going. I got there TEN minutes before that d*ck-face, because it was really close and he was going around just to make extra money. He saw me from his window and he had his stupid mad face. But, somehow, he decided to help my mother with her luggage. I ignored him and helped her too and he stopped getting her stuff out. She paid him and he didn't even look at her.So I started yelling at him and told him to be nicer next time. He didn't say anything. I never called to complain about that racist idiot because I had to go back home, but I would like to leave my experience here, hoping that those idiots will NEVER be called again. read more

They made our night a nightmare. We asked to be picked up at a club and dropped of at bossa nova. Unfortunately I left my cell phone in the cab. 5 minutes later I called my cell and the diver which I tiped very well in a very rude voice said that he's busy and in order for him to dropp of the phone it'll cost me $50! And I asked him u were here 5 min ago where can u be b he said I'm in oc! Long story short after making 5-8 calls to the supervisor which he also was an idiot. The supervisor said that your cell phone is with another driver. Why? He never told us. It is 5:30 and it's freezing outside. So I asked the supervisor to have the new driver bring my phone and the supervisor said it'll cost you $40. So I had to pay $40 at 6am and get my phone. I will NEVER ever use Beverly hills cab again. Bunch of middle Easter theifs.(I'm middle Easter 2). But they were awful. With all that being said; supervisor told menif I didnt pay the $40 he would have given my phone on tues afternoon. The driver of the cab 18954E1 aka Cab #3208 was so dangerous, cutting across 3 lanes by forcing the car through even when there is barely any space. Terrible. No idea where he was going, took every direction with traffic and completely ignored my suggestions of other routes. Keep the windows down the whole time on the freeway, which was hot and my hair was flying all over. Again ignored me when I told him to pull over at my destination, made an illegal u-turn right in front on another car turning into us. When I got upset he told me to relax. Beverly Cab called me at 9am this morning to say that -- contrary to what they promised just yesterday -- there would be NO 9am cab to take my wheelchair-bound father to an essentially important doctor appointment. I've used these guys a few times. They get the job done, but not without some minor stress. Not sure what the standard allowance for being late on a scheduled pickup is, but when you've got to get to an airport, a 15 to 20 minute wait can get your stomach churning. Also the dispatchers seem a little clueless - they've underestimated fares and shrugged off questions about the delay. Once you're in the car, though, the ride is safe and direct. read more

I just got cut off driving down the street by the driver of taxi 3342 of a blue and white Beverly Hills Taxi who didn't look at his blind spot. I honked and then he started driving recklessly and I could swear he had a customer in the car. He purposely cut me off a second time I'm assuming because I honked. I would never use this taxi service. They are dangerous drivers and should lose their license. read more

I have only used this company for rides to the airport and they have been consistently pretty good to me. I usually call to book them a day in advance and they usually show up about 10-15 minutes ahead of schedule. I then get an auto dial call saying "my cab has arrived". English is usually not a strong point with the drives I get but hey I am going to LAX, how complicated can it be? It seems like I alwyas pay about the same amount but after reading the other reviews I guess I should ask about the "flat" rate. I their defense the charge seems to be about the same I pay to come home from LAX in a "regular" cab. What I love about them is that they consistenly show up on time and get me to the airpot without any hassles. Warning, sometimes they will charge a wait fee if your not ready at the appointed time but then sometimes they don't. I usually get nailed/charged when I am running 10+minutes behind. I have never had anyone try to charge me a wait fee when I was ready at the appointed time even when they showed up early. read more

This was about my fifth time using Beverly Hills Cab and honestly the trip wasn't bad. Our drivers have been friendly and are able to crack a joke or few with us and therefore I'm able to tip them without hesitation. Uber seems so sketchy to me, I never feel like the drivers are qualified enough to drive so I always choose a taxi cab over them. Plus the authentic vibe the Beverly Hills Cab has to offer is unbeatable. Would recommend to tourists and even residents of the area. read more

Cab 3157 was terrible!!!! My work put me in the cab because of a workplace injury (which I had no choice of company since they were paying) and it didn't help that the driver took a red light and almost got hit by 4 cars and he almost took out 3 pedestrians on the way. To top it all off, I think he took a detour and it took him almost half an hour to get to the destination. He should've just take the freeway since we were going near LaX. The driver said nothing to me the entire ride until we got to our destination which all he said was sorry as I was paying him with the vouchers work gave me. I would give them 0 stars if it was possible, but the minimum is 1, so that's what he got. Hope they give me vouchers for a different cab company on the way back to work. ;) read more
