We really enjoyed our eating experience starting with the coffee and sweet chocolate platter... a little unorthodox but we like our coffee! After moving out of the bar and into the dining room, we enjoyed oysters with just a little spice, amazing lobster bisque that was hands down the very best I've ever had... a lot of places use a lot of cream and a hint of lobster... you need to try here... giant chunks of lobster makes this dish! We went for my daughter's 13th birthday and it was a memorable experience. Gorgeous views and impeccable service. Our one issue is that I ordered the $119 American waygu steak. It was so fatty and chewy it was inedible. When I told the server the issue, I was told that was the "marbling" and was expected. Very, very disappointed. On the 7th floor of the Coeur D'Alene Resort, your elevator doors open up to a wall of beautiful, pricey wine bottles encased in glass. Around the corner, you pass another wine cellar behind glass doors and then walk into a high ceilinged hostess area. Before you are top to bottom huge windows that give you amazing views of the Coeur D'Alene lake. Be sure to get there right before sunset for a magical sight. My husband and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary here on a Saturday. We had reservations and showed up a little early. We we're invited to have a cocktail in the bar area, however, it was completely packed and nowhere to sit. Not a problem, you can always go back down to the main level to Whispers for a drink. The seats in this place are quite private, and they all sit on tier style layout that allows everyone an unobstructed view of the lake through the huge windows. The menu's were digital pads you could scroll through, so that was a fun little surprise. The details for each platter was descriptive and showed a picture of them. Our server was pleasant and knew the menu well, making suggestions based on what we we're leaning more towards. The pork chop was well executed, delicious with the sweet apple puree it came with. My husband had the filet, perfectly cooked to medium. We got a bit of a show when one of the geese decided to fly up suddenly and sit on the window sill, tapping at the glass and then settling in for the night. I think the only draw back to this experience, was seeing people walk in wearing very short- ripped up jean shorts, or plain t-shirts and flip flops. It didn't appear to be any real dress code, which we expected there to be-seeing as how it was a fancier place to eat at. Otherwise, we greatly enjoyed the food and service. My husband and I had planned a special evening during one of our many trips to the resort and choose an evening at Beverly's. We didn't want to rush through our evening and decided to start w a bottle of wine and an appetizer to share. Our waiter seemed irritated by our pace all evening and came off a little condescending towards us the entire evening. I ordered the Alaskan halibut that came burnt (literally crispy on the bottom and dried through out) with cold couscous on the side. I should have sent it back but I was hungry and felt a little belittled, to be honest. My husband's meal was fine but not a stand out meal to remember. For me if the hospitality was right I wouldn't be writing this review. We were guests at the hotel and intended to enjoy the evening and view through our slower paced dinner. I don't think the way we were treated was an accurate representation of the resort. In the past, we have always been treated and welcomed well. I'm not sure we will be back however, as this could be a sign of things deteriorating. read more

We travel allot and consider ourselves foodies but rarely take the time to rate a place unless it is exceptional or horrible. Our experience at Beverly's was exceptional in every way. Corey was one of the best waiters we've ever had. The Huckleberry Cosmo was not lacking alcohol as most drinks do and was surprisingly not too sweet. The Hot Rock Filet Mignon was one of the best steaks my husband has had in a while. The Truffle Honey Fried Chicken was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had, the truffle flavor was not overbearing, the sauce was not too sweet and it came on the side so you can add as much as you'd like. It was our 30th wedding anniversary celebration and they presented us with their wonderful celebratory cotton candy dessert which was a delightful surprise. read more

I've never written any type of review before , but I had an absolutely humiliating experience at Beverly's and thought I'd share. My boyfriend and I walked in at 2:50pm and were waiting for happy hour, which is supposed to start at 3pm. We are told to wait by a window and that we would eventually get seated -- we didn't. We ended up sitting ourselves, which is what the few other people in the restaurant did as well. The waitress finally comes to ask what we want to drink, and then gives us an extremely strange look when she realizes we are ordering alcohol. She was absolutely convinced that we were not 21. I know I look young, but I presented my ID (I am 23 and my boyfriend is 24) , and it has never been a problem. She proceeds to scour my ID and then asks me where I live - which I have NEVER been asked before, let alone at a fine dining restaurant. I was flustered and move every year, so I ended up saying the address which I currently live instead of the address on my ID. She proceeds to say she cannot serve my boyfriend and I, and takes our REAL IDs away from us without letting us explain. For the next 30 minutes, we sat without water, food, and waited for 'management' to check our ID. They ended up calling a security guard to look at them, who finally determined they are real. Instead of apologizing profusely, a manager came by and told us this is "policy". It was humiliating and embarrassing -- why were we the only ones asked for our address? Is it because I am not white or is it because I look young? Regardless of the way a customer looks, staff should be trained to provide good service to everyone. Moral of the story -- please get some more competent wait staff here!! The waitresses here are complete idiots -- I guess that's why they wait tables for a living read more

I initially posted a review of two stars (see below). However, I've since returned and realized that I was too harsh in my review. Maybe I was elite-shaming, I don't know. Beverly's is a wonderful meal in a beautiful restaurant, inside a beautiful resort. It doesn't try to be anything else. The view is still best in town! Of course the food and the view are good, but the prices and portions are ridiculous. It's mainly for hotel guests that can afford rooms at $250+ per night. Service is good. Atmosphere is good. Try to get there right before dusk. A martini or a good glass of wine. read more

Lots to celebrate with a graduation and Mother's Day. It is a special spot with a tremendous view from the 7th floor of the hotel. The food was great for all of us across the board. (Pasta, Steak and Chicken) The service is where they slid on the poll on my list. They have an assistance to the waiter that are there to "help" when needed but the problem is you cannot find them when you need one. Then she got upset when you ask for something. I also emailed the assistant manager directly to avoid this average review but got no response after multiple days. Another disappointing experience at a Hagadone restauant. This time at Beverly's, their premier restauant. My wife and I went in tonight for their seasonal menu. The appetizer and salad courses were excellent, but the main was a disaster for me. I ordered the surf and turf medium rare on the rare side. Instead, what I got was medium well, on the well done side. Inedible. I didn't even take it home to my English Springer Spaniel. And, there was the bait and switch on the wine. I ordered the 2019 Bitner Estate cab ($20). I was told they were our and I was served the 2019 Faust cab ($36). The manager comped my meal (I only took one bite) but charged for the upgraded wine. I can't believe that a supposed high end restaurant like Beverly's can't figure out how to cook a steak. I relied on instant read thermometers until I learned the touch method after cooking hundreds of steaks. A real disappointment. There aren't any decent steakhouses in Coeur d'Alene anymore and I had hoped that Beverly's might step up their game. They didn't. read more

Wow, just wow, what an incredible dinning experience which completely blew my mind. Went to the lake resort for a company event and after a long day we decided to have a company dinner at Beverly's and boy is this place good. We started out with the Beverly's Chilled Seafood Tower which includes jumbo prawns ,Alaskan king crab,scallops and Pacific oysters with cocktail sauce and Louie dressing. This was hands down the best seafood platter I have ever tasted besides outside the US. Everything was so fresh and unbelievable tasty. We also has the Crab-cake which also was very yummy. For the main course we ordered the Beef Filet Mignon with crimini-mushrooms and mashed potatoes and with out any doubt is probably the best steak I have ever tasted. Truly a 5 star restaurant. The staff is just on top of their game. Arrived 20 min early for our reservations ( on a crowded weekend) NO WORRIES, some quick adjustments were made and we were promptly seated. Service was very prompt and polite. I swear, as soon as our forks were placed on the table in between each course, it took them no longer than 30 seconds to clear our plates. They walk around offering fresh bread ( I love warm bread and butter) you must try the signature orange glazed rolls. Oh. My. God. To die for. We ordered the kobe burger- juiciest burger I've had in a while. Served with killer fries Lobster bisque soup - while I personally don't like lobster, my husband finished off his bowl in mere seconds French onion soup - hands down the best french onion soup on the planet. I order this everywhere I go and now I feel I will be forever disappointed anywhere else I eat it. We went to Beverly's to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was a gorgeous location and we had an amazing view of the lake as we ate. The service was prompt and attentive so this review is purely for the food. I started with the lobster bisque which was presented beautifully where the server pours the jus over the lobster piece, however the soup was subpar. It was very thin/ not creamy like I would expect if a lobster bisque. I had to dip my sourdough roll into it to eat it for added flavor. My husband got the Caesar salad and he enjoyed it. For our entree we both got the filet mignon. The steak was cooked and seasoned beautifully, my husband and I are self-deemed steak snobs, so we were very pleased with this. The portion of steak was large as well, I didn't even finish it. Sadly, the sides, potatoes and carrots, were lackluster and bland. I was excited for the potatoes but would ask to swap to something else instead. We also ordered a side of lobster tail to share. The sauce on the lobster tail was yummy, but the tail still had its shell so it was messy and not ideal to get the meat out, especially at an elegant restaurant where you're trying to be fancy. We ordered our dessert to-go cause we were staying at the resort, but I was too full to even try it. Bummed they don't offer a special dessert for special occasions-- especially since on the reservation they ask what kind of cake you'd like, I thought that was odd to not receive anything. Overall this is a nice place for ambiance, service and filet. But definitely choose your app and sides carefully. read more

We had a meeting in the CdA Resort and some of the attendees recommended coming here for lunch. Being a really nice location with snazzy decor, I was fearful for the prices. I was glad to be wrong AND have a great lunch. Our server John kept us entertained, well-served and well-informed. Our seats were way in the corner (by Harold, for those in the know) but we never had to hunt him down. I ordered the pastrami panini and The Hubster selected the crab melt. Both dishes looked great and tasted very well-prepared. We were also offered bread at the table, something so few restaurants do anymore. Our lunch companions enjoyed their meals, too. Everything was fresh and looked like photography professionals plated the meals. Given our return to the resort, chances are very good that we'll be back. read more

I heard this was one of the top restaurants in Coeur d'Alene so when my friend and I decided to have our "fancy" dinner, it had to be Beverly's. On the 7th floor of the resort you get sweeping views of the lake which was spectacular. I honestly could not stop looking at it during the meal. I am very glad we had seats next to the window. The service here is top notch and they really make you feel special. They start you out with the complimentary bread course, sour dough and an orange stick roll, I had both of course! The orange roll was delicious. I could've gone for about three more of those. For an appetizer we ordered the Ahi Tuna Tower which was fantastic. The flavors were so powerful and the tuna took it very well. I demolished that. My friend then ordered the New York Steak which looked phenomenal but I unfortunately did not gt to try it...I wanted some fish and ordered their special which was Hawaiian Opah which although tasty, had a slightly off texture, like it was overdone. I wish I would've ordered something else for my main but I was still happy overall with the meal. For around $60/person, it was a very good meal and for me, a lot more bang for your buck than cheaper, more casual restaurants in town. read more

I travel to Coeur d'Alene about once a month. I look forward to dining at Beverly's every visit. This time was exceptional as always. We came for an early dinner, ordering off the Lakeview menu which is available every night from 5-6 at $25. The hostesses seated us quickly to a lake view booth. We were warmly greeted by our waiter Tim, who welcomed us back. A bus person filled our water another brought fresh sourdough rolls and orange rolls with butter. Tim professionally took our orders. I had the Fall Harvest salad which Spring Mix of greens, radicchio, slices of crisp sweet pears, hazelnuts and shavings of white cheddar with a vinaigrette dressing. The favors were well balanced, tart but overly tart. For the main course I had the Truffle Honey Chicken, 2 pieces of crispy fried chicken, truffle honey sauce came on the side along with mashed potatoes and corn with a hint of bacon and a bacon chive biscuit. It was delicious. My spouse had the Caesar Salad a great presentation of romaine hearts, pecorino cheese and a perfect dressing. She picked as her main course the Seafood Paella, a mix of shrimp, clams, scallops, chorizo and halibut in a saffron infused rice. This was outstanding. In sum, what makes this a memorable meal is great food, great ambiance (sunset views of the Lake) great professional waitstaff. We had vacationed this year in France, we had great meals in Michelin starred restaurants as well in bib gourmand restaurants. Beverly equals many of those restaurants. Dinner with 9 adults. The food was excellent, the service was great, and loved the atmosphere. After the fact, I asked everyone about their meal and everyone said it was excellent or equivalent praise. I highly recommend it. It is expensive, but thought it was a good value over all. We went there for the New Years fireworks show, which started at 9 pm, with a 9 pm reservation. We arrived at 8:45, expecting to be sat within a few minutes. Unfortunately, the dismissive hostess told us they were not able to seat us until at least 9:15. As we waited, several parties who arrived after us were bizarrely seated before us. We were able to find a seat at the bar at 9:25 and they "finally" found a table for us at 9:30. At this point, the fireworks show had long been over so we decided to stay at the bar and order a drink - an espresso martini. The bartender assured us they could provide it but they ultimately used no coffee or espresso and served a mix of Kahlua and hersheys chocolate syrup. Ultimately, we paid $17 each for a terrible cocktail with terrible service. Would not recommend to anyone on a holiday, which is unfortunate because their weekday service is usually quite nice. read more

This place was fantastic from the moment we walked in. The views are gorgeous, the ambience is perfect, and the service was impeccable. We were a group of six with a baby and the accommodated our needs with no complaint. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, Ahi Tuna and Crabcakes. Everything was delicious - the crab cakes were on the small size but full of crab. The Ahi Tuna was some of my favorite I've ever had. For dinner we got the Ribeye, halibut, and pork chops. I think the table favorite was the Halibut and Prawns with the Buerre Blanc sauce...perfectly cooked with amazing flavor. My husband didn't love the ribeye, but it was good enough. Just found my new favorite restaurant! Make sure to make reservations in advance to get a nice table with a view. The service here is wonderful. Very professional. The food is phenomenal and they really create an excellent experience while dining here, they never rush you out. A lot of people come for special occasions. The menu is small and seasonal but everything is cooked well and high quality. The mashed potatoes are really good! I've gotten the filet mignon twice because of how good it is. They serve bread before your meal, either a dinner roll or a really sweet orange croissant. Make sure to leave room for dessert, they won't disappoint! You can self park in the structure on the higher floors. I believe the lower levels are valet only. Make sure to get your ticket validated before leaving for free parking. The guys near the entrance of the hotel (near the parking structure elevators) can do that for you. Just say you ate at Beverly's. When arriving take the elevators down to the first floor and walk all the way across the lobby to another set of elevators that will take you to beverly's. read more
