I've researched so many bridal salons and I was weighing out the price points of everything, but I took the leap and chose SJ Beauty Bar and it was one of the greatest experience I've had in a long time! I also like my makeup a certain way, but Sara's work was soo amazing! Even before my trial, she was much more responsive than most salons, even reaching out to me about rescheduling when I had cancel my first trial date. Sara was nothing but kind and understanding. During my trial, she was extremely thorough and would constantly ask if I liked my hair or makeup this way or if I wanted something else. She listened to everything I asked and I just enjoyed her vibe! She was not hesitant in anything and I highly value her confidence and professionalism. There are little changes I'd make for my big day, but I am overly excited and confident that Sara is going to do my glam. I know she'll be on board and just as happy to do them for me! Unfortunately, I had to wake her up that day. She arrived around past 7:30AM vs the expected 6:45AM. To me, it was fine, as long as I can be done by 8:30AM to make it at the venue by 9AM. I repeatedly asked if she would be able to finish at that time and I was assured yes, she can. She finished with me at 9AM. I arrived at the venue at 9:30AM. I had missed half an hour of photos with my photographer. A lot of details were not photographed - my hard work and expenses for the ring, gown were put to waste because they weren't photographed since I was 30 mins late. I was photographed while actually getting dressed because that was the only chance the photographer can take a photo of me. Ladies, if you had a wedding, I guess you could imagine how limited a 20 min photo shoot is. I just felt like crying. It felt like it has ruined my wedding day because that was the start. Ivette took my payment without even offering any compensation for her being late. If it was a party that I was going to, I wouldn't mind being late. The sad part is that it was my wedding. Just very unfortunate to happen to anyone.
