    Chicken wings and dirty rice
    Greg P.

They chose the right name for this spot. It's not just flavor, its an experience. The food was so good. Service was very nice. The food truck park is very clean with TVs and a fan outside and even indoor seating in the AC. Parking was easy. I had been wanting to come for so long and I am glad I did. I ordered the threeplay which is catfish, chicken wings and Hennessy shrimp. More on them later. I got the sweet potatoes for a side. My son's mother got the chicken wings plate with dirty rice. And my so. Tried their chicken tenders but he had already gotten a pizza off the cheesesteak truck with fries. That didn't stop him. He loved the flavor on these tenders. And I have to agree. Super well seasoned. They were supposed to come with fries but ours came with Mac and cheese. It was taken home for later. My son's mom loved the chicken wings from the first bite. And after I ate the ones on my plate I would agree. Dee. Lish. Us. So was the catfish. Fried perfectly and meaty. Now's the Hennessy shrimp. I don't drink. Never have. When I tell you this was Hennessy with a side of shrimp, believe me. Especially if you don't drink lol they were STRONG with the Hennessy. My son's mother who occasionally drinks tried one and she was overpowered lol just like the food truck these are also aptly named. I will not be having them again but if you like your brown liquor these large fried son of a guns are up your alley lol I also ordered the cornbread. It was a little spongy. Like it had been frozen and reheated. It didn't crumble like cornbread and stayed packed together. Might also be from wrapping it in the plastic wrap like little cocaine bricks haha. But it was good too. Si glad I finally went and without question will be back. Right price for a great amount of great tasting food. Even if them Hennessy wangs got me cross-eyed for the moment

Outstanding flavors, portions and ingredients. My man taking the order was chill and answered my one question about the Hennessy Sauce. The food truck is located in a lot with other food trucks PLUS access to decent restrooms. Big bonus for playing good music at a good volume but not loud enough for me not to hear my order.

Ohhhh my gosh. I don't do reviews as much as I used to, but I had to for this. The price, the wait, it is ALLLL worth it! So fresh and hot and I ate it after driving 20 minutes home. Still fresh after that. The lady that took my order was quick and kind and they constantly had people at the truck ordering. It was hot out and I believe you can go inside where they have their food truck located. But I just chilled in my car until the buzzer went off. Everything was so excellent. I had leftovers for the next day and it was still good and still filled me up! They will be seeing me again!

    Banana pudding

My boyfriend and I are always looking for some nice spots around town, we are big foodies. We saw this food truck posted on San Antonio Restaurants FB page so we decided to check it out today. When we got there around 5:10 pm we expected the food truck to be open based off the hours posted on the internet but wasn't yet which isn't a big deal so we along with others waited until around 5:30 pm when they opened the doors. Once the order was placed, it took about 30 min which again, not a big deal. It was actually a sign to us that they make their orders fresh. We ordered 5 wings, shrimp, seafood dirty rice, and banana pudding. The wings were amazing. The flavor was great and they were juicy and cooked perfectly. I would definitely go back to get another order of those. Shrimp was also very flavorful with henney sauce. Very delicious! As for the seafood dirty rice, it taste very seafoody (like the shrimp just got taken out of the ocean) and I think because of that, it over powered the rest of the flavors??? I'm not sure but it wasn't bad just not my personal preference. Lastly, the banana pudding was ok. It wasn't sweet at all which was a little odd because I like my banana pudding to have some sweetness to it. It was decent though. All in all, the place was good I'll def be back for the chicken wings and to try some of the other items I didn't get to try this time.

The texture of fish is crunchy on the outside with a flaky, meaty texture on the inside . The wings are fried in a way that's just right. They are crunchy and the sauce adheres so well without making them soggy. The green beans, red beans, and wedges are great options for sides to accompany the fish and wings. It was my first time ordering from a place with this type of setup. It was so cool! I scanned my order on an iPad and open pops a locker door with my food. When I came up to the place it wasn't a sit down place to eat, but that you have to order which was confusing as there were a lot of other restaurants within the small space. There was a guy there that was picking up wing and he stated that they were the best and big pieces. So he showed me how to order. And I place my order as it was Wednesday dollar day for wings so I order wings. I had the parmesan garlic, lemon pepper. Let me tell you they were so good, the wait was too long but worth the wait. It best to order online then go pick up. The restroom were locked so that is why I gave 4 and we weren't able to speak with no one. If you need any special thing or extras please write it I. The space provided because they don't give you anything but what you order no napkin just nothing else. Enjoy and hope the you didn't forget to order anything special or extra as you won't get it.

It did have a good price for cocktails which was nice though! The espresso martini was great, however the beans were a bit chewy. I switched to an old fashioned made with Buffalo Trace and it was delicious though. Service was kinda spotty with my waiter disappearing quite a bit. Maybe they see a table with one diner and think they're not going to get a decent tip. I had to ask another server for something at one point which should never be the case. The food was good though. It was hard to decide and since I was on a budget with a work expense, I had to choose wisely and put the booze on a separate tab. The salad was good and fresh and their cajun French dressing was bad. I switched to ranch and was able to enjoy it. The Catfish dish was delicious and came with shrimp, lump crab and oysters. Nice portion size and I was mostly satisfied. The sauce was pretty good for being outside of Louisiana, but still not "authentic". Is anywhere outside of LA great though? Luckily, it was walking distance from my hotel so easy to get to from there. It's on a "frontal" road so you may be driving in circles if you venture here on your own. I'd probably see what else San Antonio has to offer if I return to the area though as it didn't blow me away.

When I brought it to the manager's attention, I was told it was a fish scale. Unfortunately, that explanation did not match what I saw. Fish scales are typically thin, flexible, translucent, and often irregular in shape. What was in my food was hard, opaque, curved, and looked very much like long fingernail. The difference was obvious enough that I did not find the manager's explanation credible. Finding any foreign object in food is concerning, but what made the experience worse was feeling that my concern was dismissed rather than taken seriously. Customers deserve honesty, accountability, and proper food safety standards. I am sharing this review so other customers are aware and can make informed decisions. I hope management takes food safety and customer concerns more seriously in the future.

Ma Parker prides herself on family, giving people second chances and a decent meal for a reasonable price. Everyone who came in for lunch paid Ma Harper respect and was treated like family. The decor is die-hard NOLA with tons of memorabilia. The booths and chairs are old but the food is made with pride and love. The fried shrimp po-boy, fully dressed on a perfect NOLA roll was a must try. A small side of red beans and rice was also included. The sandwich was packed with crispy fried shrimp, but the normal remoulade sauce was replaced with ketchup / mayo mixture, not savory. The red beans and rice were fine but lacked real flavor. I am glad I gave Ma Harper's Creole Kitchen a chance. Many of the frequent flyers here, obviously love this neighborhood staple. Ma Harper's has a big heart and I wish her continued success. Dining here is more than food, it can also be about love and feeding people. Thanks Ma Harper for a memorable experience.

It was very clean and I liked how new everything looked. They play some decent Latin music and there's a sort of trendy vibe to the place. The workers were friendly and polite. However, those are the only redeeming qualities about this restaurant. The food was subpar at best. We ordered their fried fish with fries as well as a tortilla soup. I also ordered one of their five dollar fish tacos just to try them out. The fish plate strangely comes with a slice of garlic bread and overcooked fries (I like crispy fries, but these were like biting into sticks of wood). The fish taco was probably the best tasting thing from this restaurant (the bar is pretty low), it's a filet of fried fish topped with a slaw-like sauce and sliced avocado on a corn tortilla. I did enjoy it, but I felt the price was a bit steep for what you get. The tortilla soup lacked flavor as if the chef was scared to add seasoning. Maybe if you are going for the drinks then this place would be okay. I cannot speak on their alcoholic beverages. But there's one last thing that sealed it for me and made it certain I wouldn't return. They have a "cash price" vs a "card price" on their receipt, cash being less expensive. I pay cash and I'm brought incomplete change. I suppose they do not carry coins. I am left with bland mid tier food, hard fries, and robbed out of my change. Listing cash vs card price on your receipt that basically encourages paying cash, then not having complete change when a customer pays cash is a very dull business practice. Eat here if you feel like taking the gamble. Would not recommend.
