    Crawfish Étouffée & Rice
    Laura F.

Wow, so much flavor! We devoured this food because it was so good. I ordered through Uber Eats for pick up and it was ready in about 15 minutes. We had the Crawfish Etouffe, Red Beans and Rice, Green Beans, and the Fish with shrimp combo. Everything was cooked well. The fish and shrimp were really crispy and flavorful. We will definitely be back.

My husband loved the lemon pepper catfish and chicken wings. He said it was well seasoned and he ate every bite. With that being said, I was the one who ordered and picked up the food and baby, let me tell you... I was SO confused! I drive up and yes, it's in a sketchy looking neighborhood. But it's food so I don't care. I'm getting it for my husband. It is a virtual restaurant and that totally threw me for a loop. I've never done this before but when I went in, it was only men at the kiosk and no one tried to help me. I sat back and was trying to watch but the men were standing in front of the kiosk, blocking them so i couldn't just walk up. I spoke into the air that it was my first time here and I didnt know what to do and was promptly ignored. Thank God for a guy who I assumed worked there because he came from a mysterious orange door. He sort of explained it to me. So I ordered on Uber Eats because by that time I was over it. I satin a small bench in the small waiting room as people came and went and when I got my almost ready text, I checked but it wasn't ready. So I sat again. Long story short: order before you get there. Go to the kiosk, show it your phone and pick up your order from the locker. I'm no fan of this type of restaurant setting. But the food was delicious.

The wings were delicious, but the wait was very long. They give you a time frame or when your food will be ready, and ours exceeded the time by a lot. When I called the restaurant, the person on the other line was very nice and helpful though. The food is worth it though. We also loved the $1 wings Wednesday. Made it even more worth the wait.

I would love to get this place more than E3 because I have no complaints but the only thing that I would definitely go back for is a rib and rice. Maybe I miss the opportunity to see that they were only selling chicken and the red beans and rice after a certain time at night. I wanted fish, but that was not an option when I arrived at this ghost kitchen. Going back for fish for sure

This was my first time trying this establishment. The food is so delicious I will have to drive the distance to order from them again. It did not disappoint. It's not a sit down restaurant you order online and either pick up or delivery. I have to say I kinda like the set up. When you arrive and your food is ready you sign in and they place it in a locker. When I tell you delicious

Had high hopes for this one but it's just not for us. So let me start off with I understand that we ordered quite a bit of food and that would cause issues . The parking is horrible because people are impatient and it seems to be a door dashers paradise. No one greets you or assist you with the tablet that you use to pick up your order. When I finally figure that out it opens a locker door where my food was forcibly shoved into it . I ordered 100 wings ,egg rolls, and Parmesan fries . Eat with your eyes definitely doesn't come to mind. The food even though was smashed looked nothing like the pictures on the menu or on social media . It was a regular wing place after that. Ranch, ketchup, and napkins were apparently extra. The buffalo lemon pepper and flava of Asia were very good sauces. Not bad food just didn't live up to the hype.

First time ordering from such an establishment and I was so impressed. I've seen it on TV and it worked as advertised. The food, well let's just say that when I return to San Antonio, they will be the first place I hit when I return. Fish and wings were seasoned to perfection. The red beans and rice were on point and though I drove 13 minutes to my hotel, it was still hot and crunchy. Don't be afraid of the ordering concept, just do it and you won't regret it! Trust!

These are what wings should be like! We love coming here for wing Wednesday but know they do get busy! You may have to wait but I promise you it's worth it!

I visited this To-Go place today. The food was pretty good. They do have a long wait so I would suggest you order at least 30 min ahead of your arrival. They also have outdoor seating that's nice when the weather and outdoor environment is good.

The online order process is simple and they give descriptions for all menu items. They have specials listed that are easy to navigate. The pick up is through a locker with a code on it and that makes order pick up seamless and helps to ensure no one takes your order. The inside to pick up is just a small room with two benches so better to wait in the car if possible. I got about 20 wings and the fish/shrimp platter. Everything was delicious but the fish and the Asian glaze wing were a standout. Honorable mention was the Cajun spice wings. I was disappointed the garlic parm sauce was not the typical wet sauce. I ordered in wing Wednesday and I thought the deal was def worth it. It takes about 45 mins for the order so plan accordingly.

Birthdays, random cravings, "we survived the week" dinners & you name it, we've probably celebrated it here. The vibe is casual, fun, and laid-back, which is exactly what you want when you're about to put on a bib and commit to a seafood boil. And yes, that is exactly what you should do here because the boils never miss. The seafood is always fresh, the sauces are flavorful, and the spice levels are not playing around. My recommendation? Stick with level 2 unless you enjoy sweating through your meal and reevaluating your life choices. My go-to combo is mussels, shrimp, crab legs, potatoes, boiled egg, and veggies. And before anybody gets suspicious about the veggies in a seafood boil, hear me out, they absolutely belong there. They soak up all that buttery, spicy sauce and add something extra to the whole experience. Don't skip them. Also, get the flights. They're fun, they're good, and they make an already good time even better. Smashin Crab is one of those places we keep coming back to because it's reliable in the best way: good seafood, great flavor, and the kind of meal that feels like an event every time.

Jenn was our server, and she was amazing very attentive, informative, and provided great service throughout our visit. The ambiance was a fun, lively vibe with music playing, and the restaurant was clean. The happy hour menu had a great selection, with everything from shrimp boils to cocktails. We started with the 1/2 dozen chargrilled oysters ($19.12) and the Smash'd Margarita Flight ($11 during happy hour). Chargrilled Oysters: 8.5/10 The oysters were cooked in garlic butter and Parmesan and served with crispy toast. The toast was definitely a highlight for me it added such a good texture and paired really well with the oysters. I would absolutely order these again! Smash'd Margarita Flight: (9/10) This was a fun way to get a taste of the different margaritas they offer. The prickly pear was my favorite of the flight! Shrimp Boil: (10/10) For our main meal, we ordered the shrimp boil from the happy hour menu and added a few extras. I loved how customizable the boils were. They have a great variety of add-ons, from broccoli to ramen noodles, and you can also choose your seasoning and spice level. Overall, we had a great experience. Good food, a fun atmosphere, plenty of options, and great service from Jenn. We'll definitely be back and those chargrilled oysters will be making another appearance at the table! The menu is exciting and the concept is definitely there--but unfortunately, my dining experience didn't quite live up to it. I ordered the pecan-crusted trout, which had a nice texture but lacked flavor and seasoning. The dirty rice was also underwhelming, with very little depth or seasoning, and the calamari was a bit rubbery. Overall, the food just didn't hit the mark for me. Service was also a bit inconsistent. During dinner, I found myself having to get up to grab my own salt and pepper, as well as my own place setting, which took away from the experience. That said, I did have a much better interaction the day before when my wife and I stopped by for a glass of champagne at the bar--the bartender was lovely and welcoming. On a positive note, the location is beautiful--right along the River Walk, which makes for a great ambiance and setting. When it comes out, the drink is good but could've used a bit more lime in the mix but not bad. For food, I go with the fried shrimp and catfish nuggets. When they come out, the plates are larger than expected and both come with fries. This could easily be shared with two or three people. Everything was friend to perfection, crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and seasoned well. The plates were wiped clean. I ordered a house pinot noir and it was a good. The food feels like the chefs were given good quality materials, but had no idea what to do with them. We ordered a funghi pizza to share then a cinghiale, a costine (short ribs), and a dentice (bass). Funghi pizza was the only dish that made coming worth it at all. It had a nice flavor, but if you're expecting the notes of an earthy mushroom flavor, don't. It's just a nicer version of a standard cheese pizza topped with some onions and mushroom. The cinghiale was just stunningly mediocre. The meat was flavorful, but the pasta itself was shockingly bland. It was just so... ok. The dentice was the best of the 3 individual dishes, but it is just what you would expect some average short ribs with random sauce to taste. The costine was just terrible. Salty on the outside, yet flavorless on the inside. Avoid at all costs. The service was passable, but they clearly overwork their servers as one server just handles an entire section and is too overwhelmed to be timely. I came to cheer myself up, but honestly it only made dinner comically worse. I seriously can't imagine what would cause someone to rate this as 5 stars. Maybe if they thought Olive Garden was 4.5, then I guess this would barely be a 5 in comparison? Either way, if you're looking for good food for your dinner, keep looking. You won't find it here.
