Tina and Jenny: the best mother daughter duo in my opinion. I've been doing to them for almost a year now. Started with no experience with gel builder at all! Then Tina introduced me with it and fell in love forever! I've moved to LA 8 months ago and I am still making that drive to OC every 3 weeks! Tina and Jenny is THAT good! Family oriented brick and mortar. They run their business old school style and that's how I love it. My baby girl and my fur-babe love them and they love my girls! Their customers are long time customers. There are some customers that has been going there for over 30 years, there are some Mothers & daughters that have been going there since their daughters were little kids and now they're young women, etc. They have lots of color choices. Tina and Jenny are super friendly and caring towards all of their customers. And their pricing are super affordable. It opened up an amazing room for tipping them abundantly. First time visiting Very quiet, clean and quick. Reasonable prices for a pedicure in a manicure

Those of you who know me, know that I've not had luck with nail salons within 5-10 miles of my residence. Today, as I pulled into the lot where Beyond was, I had no expectations. I needed a pedicure and wanted to just relax for a while. They were able to service me right away. The spa chair was comfortable and when the massaging mode went into full action, I realized that this was not like any other massage chair I'd ever been in. Very very effective in easing the aches in my lower back. The pedicurist was also very pleasant. She didn't disturb me from my magazine reading, only offering a smile or two whenever we happened to catch each other's eye. The other workers in the salon were also extremely pleasant. They were friendly and courteous and didn't yak away in their own language excessively. They also didn't make the customers feel like they were talking about them behind their backs. They did a wonderful job on my pedicure. The prices were extremely reasonable. $12 for a regular pedicure, $16 for a spa pedicure and $3 extra for French polish. Where the hell can you get this sort of prices with really great service? Not in this area for sure! Beyond is really good. I'll definitely come back again. 4.5 stars! read more

I enjoyed my mani pedi here.... If I could break down my review, I'd say my actual mani-pedi would be a four star review and the ambiance would be two stars... Price would be a full five star because seriously, who does a mani-pedi for $22 bucks these days! I am thrifty natured, so the price is a huge pull for me. I only come here for the waxing. $14 for brow and lip? Yes please! They don't have an actual room though - you just sit in a chair behind the curtain at the back - so you get what you pay for. If you're just looking for a quick fix, they're great. I've been going on and off for a year and only had one unfortunate incident - a little wax in my hair, nothing major and like I said, I'm not paying for a spa so I know you can't expect perfection. I've never had my nails done but the girls are nice and you can usually get right in. A few times there have been really loud, obnoxious customers kind of ruining my experience but I could tell it wasn't just me - the girls were barking back and forth in Vietnamese (I think) so don't be princess with your colors and pedicure preferences! No accountability, unprofessional, and blames the customer! Used to be good only for one employee. But when she left I tried someone new and I regret it. The gel nails I got before were perfect and never chipped through almost a month of wear. However, the other lady I went to not only was rough during the manicure to the point of breaking skin resulting in me bleeding (which she didn't take accountability for saying it was the shape of my nails!). I'm usually a forgiving person so I moved on from it and it seemed to be a good job. I was wrong. The next day one nail I noticed had a crack in it (the thumb one I have pictured). I didn't have time to go back for a fix and it looked like the nail would be fine. I was wrong. Not only did the gel nail break without me doing any hard labor, so did my pointer finger! I came back to have it fixed and the owner I believe, just nail glued my nail back on and painted over it. No apologies, no partial refund, no accountability. They kept making excuses. So I decided that I just wanted the nails off since they were breaking anyway. Of course they charged us for removing the nails and the lady that did my gel nails and cut my nail had her nerve to blame me for the nail breaking and basically that it wasn't her fault she knows what she is doing and shouldn't be questioned. Another customer when I was there had a complaint as well and the owner disregarded it and stated that the employees know how to do their job and she was the one who was wrong. I went in wanting a fill and they cut my nails all funny when I asked them not too. She left them uneven and short and pointy. She painted with red polish and fuzz got stuck in my nails and I told her to remover the fuzz and she did not because she "did not see it"! My ail polish just chipped off and it's gel! I called to see if they would redo it and they said yes but I have to pay it again. Horrible. read more

Where do I begin? The lady didn't properly push my cuticles back, then cut them wayyyy too short...OUCH! Then when the top coat was applied, all the crunchy old gunk around the bottle was added in the mix, making for a bumpy, nasty mess. I asked her nicely if she could please fix the nails where it was obvious that there were CHUNKS of top coat mixed in. Instead of removing all of the nail polish, she simply removed the chunk with nail clippers, then added more nail polish on top...I don't think I need to explain how that ended up looking...honestly, my 4-year-old could have done a better job! I head out to the parking lot and reach for my keys, and I see what I at first think is a drop of blood on my thumb, open my hands up and see that I have RED all over my keys, my hands...then it hits me...OMG... I look in my Furla shopper to see that she didn't secure the top on my RED nailpolish and simply threw it in my leather purse!!!! The polish was in my key fob buttons, in the key rings, all over my hands, and RED drops were on the interior of my purse... I was irrate...I go back into the store and explain what happened, showing the RED all over everything...instead of offering to comp me for the $28 mani-pedi, they apologize and make up excuses. Then...yes, then...how much worse can it get?...the same lady cleans my keys and starts to redo my thumb as I'm standing over another customer...she grabs some random color that looks similar to mine, and gets huge drops of the pink all over the front of my purse (I didn't notice these drops until later in the day). Needless to say, I am NEVER going back and I don't recommend this salon to anyone. If you are looking for great customer service, a clean and sterile enviroment, professional service...this is NOT the place to go. If negative stars were available that's what they would get. I walked in on a Friday morning and there is one person being helped. I stated that I needed to have my full set removed and have another one applied. All within two minutes I was told yes and then no. It was stated that they had an appointment coming in so they couldn't start on my nails. I used to go to this place every 2 weeks for almost 1 year. Recently, their service is really getting bad. It seems like they thought 1 customer became a regular one, then their service and respect are gone. They made me wait at least 1 and a half hours even I had an appointment and put me in the foot spa chair with warm water first but even in California, 90 minutes later, the water gets cold! I even couldn't get out of the chair or they didn't change the water or nothing!!!! After this, I changed my appointment a couple of times then they told me not to make any more appointment and walk in. What kind of people are they?! Also, I got the fungus!! I had the worst experience here. I came here to get French tips done for the first time, and it was traumatizing. The woman who did my nails made me bleed around my cuticles; she got too close to my cuticles when she was working with that electric device that sands your nails down. And, I bled after she filed the side of my fingertip against my nail, thus having the side of my nail cut into my skin. I cried. Seriously, I did. She shrugged it off and must have doused my cuts with rubbing alcohol. I cried some more. Worst. Experience. Ever. read more

Went here for the first time because its on my way to my sisters and had time to kill. I asked for a mani/pedi. They did the pedi first, and if I could write a seperate review and leave one star, I would. The lady was rude. I didnt get a massage, and it felt like my feet were being tortured. Not relaxing at all. Then they kicked me out of the spa chair the second she put the cap on the top coat. No time to let it dry or for me to relax. Then it was time for my mani. The man that did the manicure was quiet, but really nice. He did a fantastic job. Was gentle and the mani was more relaxing then the pedi. Its too bad I had such a bad experience with the pedi, because I would definitely be back because of him otherwise. The decore is outdated. One wall is all mirrors, and though the equipment was clean and looked new, it had an unclean feel to it. All in all, a $28 charge for an agonizing pedi and a good mani wasnt too bad. I don't live in O.C., but this is where I get my nails done. I can't find any nail place in Northern California that does a better a manicure or pedicure - and trust - I've tried plenty. I hesitate to give the name of my pedicurist with the fear of not being able to book an appointment but Jenny does a fantastic job. I also get my brow/bikini waxing done here. I use to be a regular here, even after my regular girl left. It is convenient and close to home. I stopped going there because the owner is so rude. After being a regular there, she called me by a different name and when I didn't respond, she somehow got my attention and said she had been calling my name. I said, I didn't hear you. With all of the nail salons closer to me, I still only come here! I've been coming here for 6 years and can honestly say they're the best. I'm the most familiar with Ana, who waxes with extreme care and precision and knows how to groom without pain!! She spends a good amount of time making sure every hair is where it needs to be and doesn't rush through. I know other places that use wax that will burn you or cause you to breakout, but Ana has perfected the art and I'm always clear if any mishaps. As for pedicures, particularly, jenny and Kim are excellent. The best pedicures I've ever received. Again, they take time and don't rush through but instead make sure the job is perfect. My girlfriend introduced me to this place about a year ago. I love it and now won't go anywhere else. The staff is very friendly. They are always talking and laughing (not at or about the customers). This is the only place I feel comfortable coming to by myself. Although most of the women there cannot speak English very well, they know what they are doing and how to ask you want you want. Most of the time they don't try to up-sell you either. I will keep coming here:-) read more

I've been coming here for 15 yrs and there's a reason why. Years ago, I started out with acrylic, then switched to silk wraps and back to acrylic. Both would lift within the first week. When I started at Beyond Nails, Tina convinced me to try gel (not gel polish) instead of acrylic and I have used gel ever since. It rarely lifts, has no odor (like acrylic) and looks fantastic. I use gel over my own natural nails, not tips. Also, the pedicure chairs are the best massage chairs anywhere. And if you want a great facial, Ana is the bomb! Prices are way cheaper compared to other places, and the service and attention to detail is better than several other places I've been to in the Tustin/Irvine area. The salon is always clean, and in fact, I see them sterilize their pedicure stations every time I'm there. I see other posts where some people were unhappy, and all I can say is, everyone has an off day and perhaps that is what happened in their instance. I am always getting compliments on my nails.
