The woman helping in the shoe department was extremely helpful and friendly, and guided me to the appropriate pair of sandals. It's been a year so she made a positive lasting impression. This year I picked up a hat with good coverage for my son's. Along with some souvenirs, my son wanted to bring home for his friends (Truckee stickers). Besides my positive experience, the store seems to have just about everything from grills, too fishing gear amongst other things that you would carry an Ace Hardware store. They also had a nice varying selection of said categories. At the checkout counter there was a younger girl who welcomed me and ready to answer questions, I bought my hat, and I was on my way. They will promise to sell you a rental tank and then go back on their word when you are off contract and jack the rates, so you cannot switch suppliers until you get rid of their tank off your rpoperty. With one citizen who had a broken pipe they kept coming and filling the tank even though they knew it was leaking, what a racket these guys run. They are the worst kind of people and business. After having horrible experiences with both Amerigas and Ferrell, we decided to go with a local…read morecompany. The customer service is friendly and helpful, and the prices are competitive. I have had a couple issues with them: 1. On two occasions they have come to top off our tank but our account is on "will call" meaning they should not fill unless we call. This isn't a huge issue, luckily we were able to pay the bill but that can be an unfortunate mix-up for someone who would struggle to pay an unexpected $300+ propane bill. But I'd rather have too much propane than run out. 2. We went from June 2023 to Oct 2023 without getting a fill. They came to top off in November (one of those occasions when we did not request a fill) and we somehow used the same amount of propane in 5 weeks that we used in the 4 months from June to October. We do not use the heater at all (we use space heaters powered by electricity) so there was no way that our propane use increased that much. I believe that there may have been a leak caused by the delivery driver when he did the fill in October. This mistake cost me over $250. Now we have gone from November to June without using very much propane so I know that they must have done something wrong with that October fill. Otherwise the customer service is good and deliveries are prompt. I will continue to be a customer because I know that the issues I have had pale in comparison to the issues you'll face as an Amerigas or Ferrellgas customer.
