So now that I've covered that ... my review isn't so much for the salon part of things but their side business. Did you know they have an Ebay store called Ilovebrains? At any point in time they have at least 100 T shirts for sale online. There's no real store front per se (more of a virtual one), just a display with the non Ebay listed items. I've ordered from them now on three separate occasions and been really happy with the quality and pricing on the items I bought. You purchase the listed items online and can have them shipped ($5.99) or arrange local pick up (for free). Whoever they have thrifting or searching for their items does a great job finding good stuff!!!

Off the back, he gets 4 stars versus 5 because I don't like paying a fee to swipe any card. I don't pay ATM fees nor any fee for my money. With that, cash is a bother and quite inconvenient to get. Yet, this whole fee thing passed on to consumers seems to be a standard in Charlotte. He is on Style Seat. He is always on time. This is essential for me. I trust him with the kid and that is a big deal like bigger than I'll permit about anyone in my hair but not the kid's hair. He does steam conditioning which I prefer. He doesn't try and throw in work that's not needed. I've brought in the kid for a trim and he's like, "I promise it doesn't need it." I'm usually a stickler for every six (6) weeks yet trust his guidance when he says nope not yet. He also worked with my hair when I left being natural after 9+ years and went back to relaxing. The kid has never been relaxed nor had chemicals and his press & curls last on the 4D hair that the kid presents (70% 4d maybe 20% 4c the rest is even tougher). P.S. He will answer or text you. I have never had to wait long for a follow up even when we haven't been in a while due to wearing braids. Oh! That's another thing, I'll take his advice on what to do for haircare. It's not about short term styles that look great but will kill our hair. I'll sport a sew-in or wig for that. He braids as well for the vixen - he set us up. I don't think he crochets as he referred the lady in the next station. P.P.S. There's a Mexican place next door. Town & Country Ford in the same lot. Adam & Eve at the other end of the plaza with a Barber shop in the lot as well. I specifically asked the student that if she was unsure about anything I had asked, that she ask her educator for help. She didn't until the very end when she was doing some face framing & instead of gliding the scissors down the length of my hair to do this, she just chopped chunks into the front of my hair. The only way to salvage this was to cut my hair short to even this out. It was a terrible haircut & unfortunately I won't be going back. This is the second time this exact thing happened. While I understand they are students & you're taking that risk when you go, there just needs to be better supervision for the students. This girl who cut my hair was graduating in 4 wks & seemed like she was only 4 wks into the program. That's how bad this was. Also, I have been going here for probably 20 yrs so I k ow the drill. The caliber of students & educators has severely decreased. Back in the day the students & educators were much more professional & put together. Now when you go here, most of the students & educators look like they just rolled out of bed & grabbed anything on the floor. There is no professionalism. The educators used to come over and check in a few times during a visit. Now they come over at the beginning & the end & don't check in at all during the appt. This place used to be so much better than it is now. I would not recommend.
