My usual locally owned Korean restaurant was closed today so I searched for another nearby Korean restaurant. I went to a chain called BIBIBOP Asian Grill nearby. This was my first visit to this chain. I walked in and saw it was a cafeteria setup. They had many choices but not my experience before which would be in Indianapolis and A-1 Win-burger across the street in Pickerington. But I am not reviewing that one. The one I am looking at was the closest one to me. I did decide to stay. In a cafeteria service setting I was disappointed but thought I would try it. I picked yellow rice, Kimchi, broccoli, Garbo beans and something resembling chicken. I only received a medium sized bowl and I received slightly more than a tablespoonful of Kimchi. I was so disappointed by the small amount of food AND the charge of $17 and my drink was water. So I didn't receive any additional help once I found a booth. The quality of the food was poor and the portions were not up to a charge of $17. I will wait for A-1 Win-burger to reopen on September 17. That one (Hill Road across from Capital Pain) is the only Korean restaurant I will patronize from now. read more

Bibibop is the Korean version of Chipotle's Mexican inspired cuisine but healthier, in my opinion.

not to be dramatic but i can't believe how good this is for a chain. i got a bowl with spicy chicken, korean bbq, white rice, cheese, broccoli, and carrots, which came out to $16. all of the food was high quality, especially the proteins. the flavor on the meats and broccoli were also great and the portion was good. i'm going to get a single meat from now on since $16 is high, obviously. but i will definitely be back. read more

This place is BOMB! This is on the outskirts of Columbus along the edge of Reynoldsburg. I was looking for quick and healthy options while im out here for military training. This place is definitely the Asian influenced Chipotle is the best way to describe it. This location specifically has great customer service and I am attended to immediately since they're so fast. You start with either a bowl, a roll or a salad. I've gotten their black or "purple" rice every time for the bowl. Then you choose your base or either sprouts, potatoes or black beans, then your protein and LOAD on the veggies! I've been getting the tofu, sprouts and load on the egg, broccoli, carrots, kale, and cucumber. I topped it off win sriracha sauce and add a side of kimchi. I then top my order off with some all you can drink miso soup which I always take some with me back to the hotel. My whole meal was under $10 and there's a lot of food! (I did not get a drink, which would have been 1.50). I wish this place existed in California I'd always come here! read more

We *LOVE* this place!! We've never dined in, with the exception of the food court at Easton BEFORE COVID. The store on East Broad is the closest one to where we live and since we tend to shop at the Meijer just east of it, and our kids' pediatrician is just west of it, we frequent this location for take out. My daughter and I are very light eaters and one bowl will easily yield THREE servings and the combination of purple rice, kale and steak is phenomenal!! Everything on their menu is GLUTEN FREE, making this one of our frequent spots. We don't typically take any sauce if we're taking our food home because they never seem to give you enough for the size of the bowl. I buy a fantastic mango-ginger sweet and sour sauce made by PF Changs that's gluten free and really compliments the steak and purple rice from these bowls. For what you get, the prices are decent and the food is good quality and very nutritious. For what it's worth, the East Broad location DOES have outdoor seating. read more

Bibiop is hands down one of my favorite quality semi-fast food establishments. The ingredients are all organic and the freshest you will find. I am not local to Columbus but do travel via CMH on occasion. I stop every chance I get. :) read more

This was my first visit here. Bibibop is new to me. First the good. Place is clean. Staff is friendly and efficient. Food is tasty. Now for the little reason it got only 3 stars. The food was served cold. I'm guessing it's my expectations that cause the problem. When I order an Asian style dish with noodles and tofu I don't expect it to have a temperature like it just came from my refrigerator. Makes me wonder what the grill was for. Anyway. Good flavors. Nice clean restaurant. Just wished someone had warned me about food prep and temps. If you like cold dishes this is a good place. If you prefer your noodles and the like hot this isn't it. read more

This place has been going downhill for a long time. It went from great to mediocre to awful the past few years. In addition to overall poor quality, they changed chicken recipe and it's now TERRIBLE. On my last (and final) visit the white rice was barely cooked. That is incredibly dangerous! I'm praying I don't get food poisoning from it. This is just what the East Side needed, so excited it's here. Yes it is an Asian Chipotle but higher quality. Some things seemed a little strange to me, wraps, cheese, potatoes with Asian food? Not for me. Everyone seems to get the rice (and I understand purple rice is typically gluten free?) but I am trying to avoid carbs at the moment, so I went with the salad, black beans, bean sprouts, spicy chicken, shredded cucumber, egg and the sriracha sauce. That was a wonderfully spicy and filling lunch! Also got miso soup, which I love, and a side of kimchi. I noticed as I was leaving that they have Pellegrino, wish I would have gotten a bottle. I've loved Bibibop since they opened their downtown location, so I was beyond thrilled when they announced that they were bringing a location to Reynoldsburg, AND that location would also be right along the way on my drive to/from work. Pile the chicken high on the bed of white rice and give me a large cup of teriyaki sauce on the side. Stacks and stacks of fresh veggies compliment the rest of the bowl and make for a very well rounded, sizable lunch/dinner for a very reasonable price under $10, slightly over if you double the meat. read more

I'm just glad they say it is "inspired" by Korean bibimbap. I have so many people tell me that this new Korean place opened up down the street and I just groan. It's not Korean, people. It's good, but it's not Korean. I like the fact that I CAN eat healthy here and it tastes good, too. Of course, I don't eat all my rice and I NEVER get the "yum yum" sauce. I was so excited when I saw the banners announcing the arrival of Bibibop around the hotel we were staying yet so we decided to give it a try. The whole concept of Chipotle for Asian food is intriguing. Based on the Korean stone pot rice dish Bibimbop, the concept sounds deceptively simple. Good things: Bright clean environment, friendly and helpful staff, large selection of Asian inspired toppings and sauces, less than $10 price point per bowl. Negatives: food quality and taste. Maybe they try to cater to American palette but everything tasted too extreme for me. The spicy Sriracha sauce just a tab bit too spicy, the yum yum sauce too mayo like and the teriyaki way too sweet. The Kim Chi side dish was completely inedible. I threw most of it out because it didn't taste like kimchi. Instead it tasted like salted cabbage, way too salty with no flavor. Judging by their business and rapid expansion, I think this is a concept that can be scaled up. But without changing the fundamentals and making it taste good, I would not be recommending anyone to this "healthy" food joint. read more

I really dig Bibibop as their salad bowl is great. For $6.50, I found this to be a great value as my bowl was loaded. I had two meals from this order and that makes a frugal guy like me very happy. I love the clean, modern feel to this place as well. This place makes you want to sit and enjoy a meal with friends or for me my 3 year old daughter. She also was able to eat enough rice to fill her up just from my bowl. The Korean sauce is pretty good along with the variety of different veggie options. I hope they bring one to the west side (Grandview is more downtown). read more

Just tried the bowl with the steak, $6.90 the steak was kind of chewy, daughter had the spicy chicken $6.40 and it was not spicy. The potatoes were a little mushy. The rice could have been a little more fluffier. She loved the miso soup. (Is that Korean?). We will try again. You get plenty of food for the price. The place was crowed so we had to take it to go. They may need to expand to the other side of the building, it seems that the folks did not want to leave. What can I say but awesome food! Sunday night we ordered bibibop through doordash and there was an issue with potatoes. We got a call from the manager who was very sorry about the issue. We stopped in today and the manager on duty was very helpful. She knew who we were and we got our bowls exactly as we wanted. Food was delicious the manager checked on us several times which was nice. One thing was slightly disappointing. No bibitea. Sad panda We were looking forward to trying bibitea or bubble tea for the first time but the bibitea area was not set up. Maybe next time. If you haven't tried bibibop please do. I've heard mixed reviews of Bibibop from friends for a while now and since it's a rainy Saturday night and my husband and I made a date with Netflix, we figured it was a good time to give it a try. As you probably know, this place is the asian version of chipotle. As a huge Mexican fan, (I pray to the taco gods every night) I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this betrayal. Welp, let me tell you, there will be many more cheating nights ahead here. The staff was very friendly and answered my questions about the different items. When asked which base item I wanted (sprouts, potato, beans) I said all and they generously piled them in. I got chicken, all the veggies, and yum yum sauce. My approximately 4lb bowl cost just over $6. Cons: the chicken didn't taste like great quality Pros: service, atmosphere, price, and the other 17 items in my bowl I'm writing this review with 2/3 of a full bowl left, 4/3 of a full stomach, and happy memories that will surely bring me back soon. Next time I'll skip the chicken and just get more potatoes (seriously ask for all the potatoes in your bowl). read more

At Easton, on 5th avenue in Cbus, on Henderson, and now my first time in Reynoldsburg. No matter which one I go to I can always expect to never be disappointed with the food. The ONLY complaint I can come up with is room for seating because they all tend to be smaller buildings but my guess is whoever came up with Bibibop didn't expect it to be so popular and a place where every one wants to grab a bite. read more

I was so excited to hear that a Bibibop opened on this side of town! If you haven't been here before, the best way to describe it is like an Asian Chipotle. They offer made to order bowls, salads and wraps with your choice of ingredients from the serving line (base, protein, veggies, sauces and toppings) and also offer sides like miso soup, edamame and kimchi. I've only had the bowls, but have tasted almost everything. The service is fast (in and out in 5 mins) & friendly and everything is prepared fresh behind the serving bar in an open kitchen. Like Chipotle, the portions are fairly large, so I usually order the kids portion. I'd recommend it since it can be a relatively healthy alternative if you order properly. read more

Oh the days when I would come here to get a giant bowl of beefy goodness on white rice and noodles. Usually have "decent" experiences. Food is usually a little cold. I was sitting in the area eating and one of my students from my church walked in late and I went to order her a quick bowl at 9:50 and and they said that won't give it because they are closed even when the food was still out and ready to be served so not that good customer service. read more
