I brought my 2023 Malibu to Bical primarily because of an active backup-camera recall--one I had specifically questioned them about two weeks earlier while my wife's vehicle was being serviced. I had an 8:00 a.m. Monday appointment. By Thursday morning, after days of poor communication and many avoidable Uber expenses going up to physically check on the status, I was at the dealership watching my vehicle that was promised days before, being worked on at 9:20 Thursday Morning. I was also concerned that a recall was documented as completed when I questioned whether the work had actually been performed was in fact not completed. When brought into the service office two days before the car was released, Bradley my appointed service provider was chastised by Martin saying "Y'all have to communicate better. He is right" and further when Bradley shared that multiple mechanics were prioritizing a Suburban while there were literally cars in every bag of the shop, Martin proceeded to say " His car will only take an hour, the suburban will take days. Prioritize his car." On Thursday, When I challenged the Service Manager (Martin) about the experience that had me wait for a 18 inch wire to be plugged in, his solution was approximately $16 off an $80 part. When I questioned whether that was seriously the best they could do, he referenced my profession, telling me I'm a teacher and shouldn't act how I was acting. Accused me of trying to get something for nothing while I literally had my payment in hand. 2/3s of the anticipated work done. He was trying to rationalize me having to come back to get the mandatory Recall done because his technicians hadn't had a chance to put the camera in. He then entered a waiting room of approximately 6-9 customers, publicly called me a "bad customer," accused me of trying to skip the line, and ultimately told me not to return. His tactic of trying to use a costumer's legitimate concerns as a platform to calm a room full of people upset at the same issue was comical. I in fact displayed the email of my appointment to a bystander in the room who verbally confirmed I was 4 days outside of my original appointment. When sharing that I'd be filing this complaint one lady gave an old fashioned "I know that's right!" as I had heard her and her husband's complaints of a similar instance while sitting waiting in the waiting room for an hour and a half. Additionally, when I pushed the Service manager on the fact that he made promises via text he asked to see the text. He requested to see the text as if he hadn't sent them. I never asked to skip anyone. I asked for accountability. I specifically spoke to Martin the service manager on one of the several conversations I had to initiate asking "If I need to get a rental for a couple of days could he let me know." Ironic that the recall was why I went there. I specifically said in multiple conversations I can deal with the dealers markups on labor because I need the turn around to be reasonable. Bical currently has an F rating with the BBB. I have texts, receipts, service records and recall documentation supporting my experience. Having them justifies why I've spent time on this platform addressing this service department. As for more irony, in my ongoing experience here, I can vouch that the people in service don't even drive Chevys which speaks further to the level of commitment they have to their own brand. I offer my highest level of caution, avoid Bical Chevrolet locations due to these practices . I anticipate them denying or minimize this. Yet, that will open further documentation from both service departments of Bical Chevy dealerships Valley Stream and Kings Plaza. Before stepping foot into these places ask yourself. Why would so many take the time to leave bad ratings, why would they have an F with the BBB. Why do the systems in place route all complaints back to the unprofessional and inept management? The answer because these are the only two dealerships in the immediate area and they take advantage of the neighborhoods they serve. The chevy dealer outside of these areas don't have these issues documented. In fact when looking into my next chevy dealer I realize the reviews are on how great Paul Conte Chevy dealership and East Hills supports their patrons with loaners in this circumstance. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. My car saleswoman has the manager fired because she was verbally abused in front of me. I bought extended warranty for my tires and rims. it has been 4 months and they have not responded or fixed it. Wayne the service manager should be fired. I have called customer service and they have tried to get an answer for me for months and he won't even call back them. i got suckered into something they claim was an easy warranty and I'm driving on an unsafe tire. my next step is to look into a lawyer to take further action . I have never met a place that has the most unprofessional people . Bradley who handles my case in service is just as bad. won't give answers, no call back and when I physically go there they still say it's being worked on. The 15 month old car is having more issues than I can explain. It has been at the dealership in service for 26 days the last month and a half and they still can't resolve the issue. They do NOT offer courtesy cars, you have to pay for rental cars out of pocket. They are lying about the issues the car has and did not properly document the issues on service tickets. I am going to have to get a lemon law lawyer to get me out of my current lease so I can be free from this car and dealership and I'm sure they are going to make it a miserable experience. I expected to have an annoying day at the car dealerships. I went online and found a vehicle that I wanted for my wife. As I walked through the lot to find the car i was greeted by Hector one of the sales people. I asked to drive the car and within 2 minutes we were on the road test. He told me about all the available incentives. So when we got back to the dealership he introduced me to Diana the manager she told me the price and gave me the 28k ( Blue Book fair trade in value) for my Tahoe trade in. On to financing where Dawn the finance manager asked if i was buying an extended warranty. I said no and that was that. Never mentioned or tried to push it again. I got a good loan rate and was happy that the loan was for exactly what Diana rote in the total space on the original contract I signed. After signing all the paperwork I had a couple laughs with the other sales people while my car was in the service department getting ready . Took only an hour and a half to get the car washed prepped and filled with gas. I would have to say it was probably the best car purchase experiences I've ever had. All done the same afternoon. Horrible|Terrible| and all other negative expletives.I recently took my car for service for an issue, where the car (2013 Chevy Impala) would sometimes not start and several of the service lights were going on and off while driving, making it difficult to drive safely. Despite my better judgement of not doing business with Companies whom entrap you by charging you an exorbitant amount of $$$ for just looking/assessing the car, I decided to receive service at Bical Chevrolet of Valley Stream. After 2 weeks of the car being serviced at Bical, I was told that there was a short in the engine control module ECM and the body control module BCM. I was told that the total cost for service and labor would $2,114.94. Additionally I was told that car had been driven and tested for any issues. After paying and driving off with my car, my only expectation was that the car would function. 1 week later the car would not start, I took my car back to Bical Chevrolet of Valley Stream. This time around I was told of a different issue; the actuators for the HVAC unit were causing the battery to be drained. I was told that I would need to pay $432.51 for service and labor. After pleading the issue associates/manager, because I now had some valid fears that I was overcharged and mislead; I was told that someone would get back to me. It has now been a week no one has given me a call or followed-up. I guess they got what they wanted which was my hard-earned money. Signed the dotted line on a used car today. They sold it to me for +3k lower than other dealers in the area were offering. Anthony M. was very nice and deferential to my needs - not pushy at all. He ended up giving me a fair deal for a beautiful car. In the end there was one negative: they went with a different bank for the financing and it was 3.5% over the APR I had been pre-approved for prior to coming in. They didn't tell me this, didn't mention it at all, i had to find out on the day of signing by looking at the contract. At that point I just smiled and signed it because their dealership is ovbiously hurting from this pandemic, they were very nice, and i didnt want to nickle and dime them for $600 when I had gotten such a good deal already. Chris the manager,Roy in sales and Jim in financing are the dream team when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. I took my car to Bical for an oil change and inspection. An hour later I was told one of my hoses had a hole in it. I checked under the hood and saw a liquid pumping out from the top of the black hose. The hole was brand new. I could see the liquid spreading and could tell it had only just started. I think they purposely poked a hole in that hose so they could charge me for more than an inspection and oil change. I had to leave my car overnight and ended up paying over $1200 . I felt duped and it was so unnecessary because if they had a good service dept, I would've been a customer for life and they would've gotten more money from me over time. Instead, I will never go back even if they were the last dealership on earth. In addition, they stole my granddaughter's college graduation tassle that was hanging from my rear view mirror. Took me some time but I eventually noticed it was missing and never saw it again. So petty. Terrible place. read more

If it were possible to give negative stars I would. This dealership is the absolute worst place of "business" I have experienced ever. The cars will be affordable by nature due to the brands offered, so just go to other dealerships and you will be better off. For the entire life of my lease this dealership was a pain to deal with, causing tons of unnecessary frustration that other people i know never had to deal with. For example, I was repeatedly refused RainX, a very simple product that came with the maintenance of the car. 3 years and never received an application. Months before the return I was called EVERY SINGLE DAY to think of getting a new car compared to zero callbacks ever when owning the car. Finally, when it was time to return the car this dealership refused to take it back. Luckily my bank was understanding and had experienced this before with these scammers at Bical, and arranged home pick up. Please, do not do it to yourself. The car had been sold 2 weeks prior to my inquiry I called about 8 times regarding scheduling in the week leading up only to be informed the car is not available. I recently took my car that i bought at the dealership for an engine cooling system issue. They supposedly flushed out the cooling system and stated 2 hoses were leaking which caused the anti freeze to leak. They charged me $950 for the repair. 2 month later I had the same over heating issue. I went back to the dealership thinking that they would guarantee their work. How wrong was I - they claimed they would reexamine the car and if it was caused directly by them they would do the repair for nothing. Low and behold I get a call that the water pump was leaking as well as the thermostat housing. Why wasn't this picked up the first time? They told me the repair would cost $1500. I told them you want to charge me $1500 more on top of the $900 I already paid. You would think that they would make good on their repair and since i purchased the vehicle there. I said just fill up the car with antifreeze and I will come pick it up. They still had the nerve to charge me $100 to tell me what was wrong. This the will be the last time I will visit this dealership. Think before you take your car here - profit is more important to them than honesty. Not a good dealership. BICAL CHEVROLET - worst dealership representing a resilient and good American car maker. I would NEVER recommend this fraud, not even to my worst enemies. I leased a 2016 Chevy Trax from them. When I was in the process of getting the car, they were the "sweetest" and most begging kind of people. My lease is for 24 months (I have 3 months left as of date). I wanted to return it early, so I started the process. I called them, they said to call GM financial. I spoke with GM financial to set up a free inspection before returning the car. then after the inspection I called them, they said that diana (manager) was going to return my call later that day. 3 days later I called again to be told the same thing. at the end of day, no call from her. on day 5 I called saying that I was going to come by and drop off the car, then all of the sudden she was available. I got there and spoke to her about my situation. Told her I got a new lease from BMW and was to return her car early, I have no space to keep it, and I don't want to leave the car in the street. I paid off all the remaining balance on the lease and was told that I can return the car where I got it from. RIGHT AFTER I told her I got a BMW she got pissed off and said "oh you got a BMW, that's a 45 thousand dollar car". I asked her if it matter? I told her I was told by GM financial and GM corporate office that I could return the car. So all of the sudden, she was like "we have no space in our lot for your car". She is like go to other dealership and return it there. I said that I will leave the car on your lot and leave. she said they would sue me for this. I called the other dealerships and ALL of them said the same bullshit - "we have no space in our lot". diana (manager) - very unprofessional woman and likely has racist tendencies. She assumed that me being black meant that I couldn't afford a brand new 45k BMW by her comments to me ( I would hope a 45k car isn't too much for a black person to have, especially when I bust my ass day in and day out to save lives in the Emergency Room). diana (manager) is useless and very rude. Bical sales reps misrepresent programs and then call people liars. They use less than above board tactics. I was told about the Costco Auto Program when I leased my car. The sales rep told me to sign up and give him the membership information and I would get a gift card from Costco. He was either misinformed or intentionally mislead me. I was never informed that I had to be a member prior to October 1st of 2019. In fact he specifically said that as long as I have a membership # when we sign the contract that we would be eligible. When I spoke to the sales manager Anthony Gallo, he was dismissive and told me to take it up with Costco. I was on speaker phone and someone else with him stated that I lied. I recently brought my Malibu to them for warranty repair and I while almost everything was fixed properly, the screen on the dashboard was not fixed. The service guy tried to double talk me which angered me even more. Had he been honest and told me they didn't have time to repair it, I'd have no problem bringing the car back. To add insult to injury, he told me I must have some type of out of pocket repair for a little less than $500. They called me in the morning and said I have to pick up my car and they cannot fixed it. I picked up my car and they charged me for $450.00. My other half leased a Cruze from Chevy. The salesman was not pushy. He was very knowledgable. He didn't hound us or stalk us. He cracked jokes. He watched us leave as we went to other dealerships and met us with a smile when we came back to lease the car. The finance department was helpful. The manager came over to talk to us, too. When he took the car for a test drive, the salesman asked me to try it out, too. He also handed me the second key. Finally, they helped us set up the OnStar, even though we didn't need the help. We saw on the internet something about some Cruzes being recalled. We called the dealership and the guy didn't know what we were talking about. Then we received a letter two weeks later saying to bring the car in for the recall. And this is where it all goes downhill. They serviced his car just fine. I had a Saturn and they are a GM dealership, so they said they would service my car because the engine light came on. We told them not to do anything until they quoted us a price. They agreed. They called two days later, not the promised next day, saying that with all that was wrong with it, the cost would be about 3 grand. The guy said that the locks weren't working because of the computer. Hmmm. Okay, well, some of that makes sense to me, but no, actually, it doesn't. I specifically remember pressing the button and immediately feeling and hearing something snap under the button. While maybe the computer was no longer working the locks because of that, the locks were not not working because of something with the computer. So minus 100. I asked what was absolutely necessary to have the car run safely. The guy said everything was necessary.We called back and asked again. The guy said everything except the power steering flush. Umm, that's a different answer. Why do I get two answers that cost different things? Minus 1000. We told the guy not to touch the car, not to fix anything, that we would pick it up later. The guy said that was fine and then billed us $222 for the diagnostic. We were like, For a diagnostic? The guy responded, yes we had to plug it into the computer and look up all those codes. Minus 800,0000. Not for the cost so much as for not informing us of the cost before doing it. And also because the average cost of a diagnostic is half of that. I checked the cost of all the things they wanted to do to the Saturn. Now I know that dealers are usually a little more expensive, but the prices they were charging were outrageous. Outrageous. I've dealt with many dealerships over the years and this one really has the qualities of a terrible dealer. 1. When i was calling to get price quotes, they would tell me prices of cars I didn't even ask for. I was interested in a 2016 Cruze Limited LT1, and i was being quoted on Cruze LS1 and then Chevy Malibu. 2. After I made my way there, the cars I was quoted on didn't exist. The ones they had were of higher MSRP with additional packages that I didn't want. 3. After going back and fourth with them we settled on a car and they insisted on a deposit while I was talking to my father about the numbers. I left a deposit with my card. 5. The dealer has a hidden fee of about $480 that is not explained, they just say its a dealer fee and its separate from registration and documentation fee. 6. It was a hassle to get my deposit back. I called 5 times to try to reach my salesperson Paul but all i kept getting was his voicemail. When I finally reached him, he said I had to go back to get my deposit and they wouldn't just refund it back on my account or mail me a check. So now i have to drive over 2 hour round-trip, pay multiple tolls just ($18 )to get my deposit. From this terrible experience I will not be going back to them in the future. read more

I was turned away for service because their service team was "too busy to help me today". But the most difficult things have been the sheer overpricing for service and the lack of customer service when dealing with the team. I have been checking out various dealerships in the neighborhood to purchase a new car but I want to know that the service is not an issue. Let's start with my purchase of a used car, first I bought a used 2004 monte carlo and the only requirement I had on a used car was that it had ABS let me say back then I wasn't as savy under the hood like I am now so I wouldn't know at the time if it had ABS or not. As you can probably figure I bought the car after many many many assurances that the car had ABS. About 3 months later I find out it doesn't have ABS Initially the dealer said o well all sales are final. After going back and forth eventually GM got involved and reimbursed the total car value. Now to the last time I was going to shop there. I was working on a purchase and going back and forth with the guy while also negotiating with another dealer. STAY AWAY! Sold "clean car" to us but had been in multiple accidents - one with structural damages - not disclosed. I highly recommend not to buy from this dealership! I bought a second hand car. The salesperson confirmed that the car was a trade in of an old couple and that the car was in perfect shape. Coming from overseas, we were not aware of car reports available and therefore went to a dealership for trust purposes. We thought they would be reliable. TODAY, one year and a half later, we went to get a new car and wanted to trade in that vehicle. To our surprise, we were told that the car had been in multiple accidents, one with structural damages. Therefore the car is worth nothing today, even though we paid full price, for a "clean" car . Now we know about carfax and will make sure we do our due diligence and will not to trust retailers even when they represent a nationally well known brand. First our salesperson, Diana DiFrancisco is an honest, straightforward, no-nonsense person. We were able to tell her what we wanted, the down payment we were willing to pay & monthly payments on a Chevy Equinox that we wanted to buy. She worked out a deal that was better than any other dealer was able to do for us. Everything she said during our visit was truthful, she never tried to pull any double talk or promise one thing, but deliver another. It was PURE pleasure dealing with her. My father leased a Chevy Equinox 3 years ago at East Hills. They basically ripped him off on the lease, and this time around I wasn't letting that happen. I spoke to someone at Bical and they told me they'd get back to me. 2 days later, still nothing. I called and spoke with Diana the manager. I explained the situation, and told her what I was looking for. She gave me a very good deal on a Chevy Equinox. However, another dealership was offering something better. I told Diana, and she said she would look into what she could do. She bent over backwards to actually purchase the old lease car, and give me the BEST deal possible on the car. There was no beating this price, and trust me I do my research. It took about 3 days of back and forth on the phone from when I first spoke to Diana to when my father picked up his new car. I would highly recommend this dealership and highly recommend dealing with Diana. Do your research first obviously, and then go talk to her. I'm confident she will help you out. read more

I came in and asked what car I'd be able to finance with my down payment and credit. My salesperson, Johan, said I was able to finance a beautiful Chevy Impala for $150 a month and after putting a deposit down, he told me to swing by tomorrow to pick up my new car! The car had bald tires and after some negotiation, all four tires would be replaced. I call BiCal and I am told that the car is ready. When I arrived however, not only was the car not ready, the car looked like it hasn't been moved from the lot! It was right where I saw it the previous day! Also, the tires were all of a sudden non-negotiable, I would need to purchase a new set of $600-800 tires. I knew things would go down from here. After speaking to Johan, I get to meet Arthur, who handles the financial end of the deal. I tell him to look at the tires on the car they're selling to see if there could be some sort of compromise. When he returns, he tells me that financing the car was gonna cost me $245 a month (almost $100 more than what I was told) and COMPLETELY dismisses the tires. He then says if I wanted to get the financing that was originally offered, I would have to come up with $5000 EXTRA DOLLARS on the down payment! I am smart enough to walk away from such a horrendous deal and I'm still waiting on my deposit refund. I wish I'd done my research and read up on these guys before I stepped foot into the lot. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time at this dealership. Also, Arthur doesn't cover his mouth when he coughs. read more

Boycott Bical Chevrolet This company is both ruthless and incompetent. They sold me a GM tire warranty which was not honored at a different dealership as promised. It took Bical Chevy 2 business days to change a flat tire that had no rim damage. I was upset that I was without a car for two days for a simple tire change. I incurred taxi expenses. But I was obligated to go through Bical for my tire. Even though they don't have tires in stock. And evidently, they can't obtain tires in a reasonable amount of time. They sold me a warranty for a product they are ill equipped to handle. Because I objected to their lethargic service. They are now declining to service my car. It has several door locks which no longer function. Bical is contractually obligated to service my car. They leased my Chevy Volt to me with a bumper to bumper warranty. So, they get the profit. And some other GM dealer now has to perform the warranty service. It's a nice business model to make sales and refuse to do warranty work. When I spoke to the manager of Bical, she told me sometimes it is best to walk away. I think she is right. We all should walk away from Bical Chevy. BOYCOTT BICAL Saul Spiel read more
