It was time for a new car I was been looking up and down Sunrise Highway at Toyota, Honda, Acura, Infiniti in Valley Stream and Nissan in Rockville Centre. It was unsuccessful high finance payments and trying to push me to lease. Heading home I stopped by Certificate performance motors. I didn't have an appointment but Eduardo the sales rep and the manager Angel was very helpful. I told them what I was looking to showed me around and would keep in contact with me. Eduardo updated me with there new inventory. When I came across the vehicle I liked I came in and made the deal. *It's important that you read this review* - the only real reviews here are the negative ones, save for maybe the very rare positive real one. They're buying fake reviews so that they don't have 1 star on here. This dealership are the definition of bait and switch and false advertising. They deserve to be fully shutdown so that they can no longer swindle customers as they are so clearly doing every single day. Here was our experience... I reached out about a 2025 Jeep Compass Limited. I was quickly connected with "Marvin" via text and over the phone. We proceeded to connect 4 more times before our appointment 5 days later, confirming types of payment that would be accepted and the terms, etc. A day before our appointment the link to the car that Marvin had sent us showed that the car had been sold. I called him to confirm and he said it was a glitch and the team was working to correct it. A bit later I clicked the link and then it showed the price of the car had almost doubled. Once again I called Marvin to see what was going on and he confirmed it was also a glitch being fixed. I then asked him to confirm the car was physically on the lot, to which he said yes. Then he said "see you at 12!". We did not in fact see him at 12, or ever. Because he didn't exist. When we walked into the dealership, they were blasting music at full volume and had to shout over it to ask us who/what we were there for. We told them and they directed us to some guy that was not Marvin. When I addressed this, the guy said "oh yeah, he doesn't work here, it's a 3rd party answering service" - red flag number 1. Then he immediately tried to tell me about another Jeep Compass Limited with less miles. I told him no, we are only interested in the car we came here for and he seemed inconvenienced. So he called someone and said "ok, it's at our other lot. I'll have them drive it over here". To which I said no, because I would like to test the engine with a cold start (most engine problems can be masked if you only start the car with an already warm engine). He said ok and that we could go over there. Then he said, actually, the car isn't here at all, it's still in transit and won't be here until Tuesday. So at this point I'm starting to lose track of the different lies. I get up and go ask the front desk to speak with a manager. The manager was Sammy. I laid everything out to him and he turned red as if he had been caught in these lies. He admitted to the third party answering service telling lies, he admitted the whole situation was messed up. Then, he offered to physically drive the car to our house in Brooklyn (an hour away) on Tuesday for a test drive when it arrived. I told him no because of the cold start. He then said, ok well please let me make it up to you in price. I said ok, call me on Tuesday. He said, I will take you off our call list and call you myself and hopefully we can make it a sale. Fast forward to Tuesday, not only did he not call. But I attempted to reach Sammy, Hassan, Angel, and the front desk more than 10 times to no avail. They were either screening my calls or knew they were caught in a lie and didn't want to deal with it anymore. Their business license should be revoked. Drove from CT to purchase a car for my daughter. Before driving down I called and spoke with Jane. I asked her straight out on what their fees were since I know the game where these dealerships try to get you in and then raise the price at the end. Her answer was absolutely no fees. The price of the car + tax + reg. I said great so drove over two hours to go look at the car. I got there at 5pm. My salesperson was Denzel. We agreed on the price which was $31.300 so I was gonna put down half and finance the other half. Asked my salesperson on what the rates were and he told me that with my credit which is 838 I was looking at 3-4%. I said great let's do it. At around 9:50pm, yes I know almost 5 hours later finally the finance manager Hassan was ready for me. So I sit down to sign the papers and next thing you know the price of the car went from 31.3K to 37.6K and that is without the taxes and registration. Also supposedly they got me approved at 8.9% which I was shocked since my Credit Union was offering me 4.5%. Mind you my credit score is 838 so they were trying to make money from the finance as well. At this point I am livid with their dishonesty. Both Hassan and my salesperson Denzel have their heads down and not saying a word. Needless to say I told my kid let's go and it broke my heart since we were there for 5 hours and they made it sound like we were driving back home with her new car and she was exited. I drove in 2 hrs to see a 2025 jeep Compass listed at $17,500 I called ahead to make an appointment and asked what the out the door price was as I was paying cash, the person i spoke to said it would be $20,000 all in. Extremely unprofessional establishment. They clearly outsource their phone reps, who either don't communicate with the dealership or don't know what's actually happening. After multiple calls confirming availability and being told the Tesla was ready, I traveled over 2 hours for a scheduled appointment. When I arrived, the assigned salesperson had no idea I was coming and the car was not even on the lot. After a 40-minute wait, the vehicle showed up in absolutely disgraceful condition--filthy, strong food odor, stains on the dashboard, sticky residue on the back seats, broken interior parts, and front tires completely worn out. Even the employee who brought the car said he had never seen a vehicle in this bad of a condition. Despite this embarrassment, they pushed me to "keep negotiating" and casually promised everything would be fixed "shortly," even though it was obvious this would take days, not hours. Then the real scam started: hidden fees magically appeared--certification fees and a another fee for not having a trade-in--ballooning the price by about 30% over the advertised amount of 15K. After speaking with the salesperson and one manager, the final manager had the nerve to say, "I wish you had called before traveling." I did call. Multiple times. Their outsourced rep explicitly told me all pricing details were only discussed in person--which is clearly how they bait customers into wasting time and money. No deal was made. I left with $200 in Amtrak expenses, zero car, and a strong recommendation to avoid this place entirely unless you enjoy bait-and-switch tactics and filthy vehicles. where do i begin. The buying process was like nothing ive ever dealt with in my entire life. They do credit checks, dmv, insurance all before finalizing the price. We asked repeatedly and was told the price was 23,000 plus taxes and dmv etc. We actually called prior to going to confirm bc we were at a chevy dealership that had the same car for 27,000 so we left and drove an hour to get it from this place instead. Then they add 10k in nonsensical fees. we still stayed bc it ended up being the price as from chevy and we were already there for hours (which is why they do all that before ever actually confirming the price). We discussed some repairs they said would be done in a week. 2-3 weeks later we get the car back and now it needs a jump every morning We call to let them know and they don't want to help us at all. They said theres no space in their lot for the brand new car we bought from them and then they stop taking our calls. MB GLC300!!! They are very courteos here and the team worked to get me a good deal. Andrew and Angel were THE BEST team to work with. The price and the deal were good. Angel got me two deals which I didn't like at first and while discussing them, he said "hold on." He came back with a much better one because he was always working out better payment packages. What he came back with was a "fall outta your seat" payment package, almost the same payment for my trade with an excellent interest rate from the bank. Angel...you're the best. THIS PLACE IS NOTHING MORE THAN A PREDITORY BAIT AND SWITCH DEALER! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Here's my story of dealing with a shady company and how they ALMOST got me. ***Long post warning** Warning 1: The 2024 Genesis GV80 with 59k miles was listed at $25k (rounding up for the sake of the story). So, I meet my salesperson, George. We take the car for a test drive. And the first thing I mentioned to him was how filthy the car was. There were empty bottles and paper in the back seat as well as the trunk. There was also oil on the hood and top railing. But George assured me that they had just gotten the car and it had not been really cleaned up properly, but it would be detailed when if I bought it. NOTE: The car was shiny and clean on the website, so it wasn't a car that they had just gotten, someone had clearly been driving it. Warning 2: After some negations, I agreed to purchase the car. Enter in Angel, the finance director. He gives me to different loans, both with higher than usual interest rates (even for a person with fair credit). And he kept trying to push these warranties on me, and of course the payment included that overpriced warranty. In order to reduce the monthly payment, I decided against the warranty, and the payment was still a little over my budget. Angel then tries to soften the blow by stating that we could set up bi-weekly payments. Of course, he gave all the perks about the payment being lower, you pay off the loan sooner, blah blah blah. I still decide to purchase the car. Warning 3: Angel is now finalizing the paperwork and the car is brought up for me. It's still dirty, and George says that he "owes me a car wash because they are now closed." I immediately declined and mentioned the oil and the trash in the car. They clean out the car, and got a towel to start cleaning off the oil. In the meantime, I was switching out the stuff in my car into the new one. I noticed that the did not have a sunroof (it's one of my non-negotiables), so I decided that I didn't want the car. Suddenly, Angel comes outside and so does the GM. Both of them start promising me the sun, moon and the stars if I take the car. The GM, I think his name was Greg, said that he would drop the payment amount by $100 and give me 4 year warranty. They assured me that I was approved for in-house financing and instructed me to come in to complete the paperwork and pick up my car. BUYER BEWARE!!! Please do not buy a vehicle from this dealer!! This is a long review but please read until the end! My husband purchased a 2021 Range Rover sport from Certified Performance Motors in 1/2024 for my daughter. This dealership has very poor customer service and their business practices are very questionable. We agreed on a price for the vehicle and we purchased extended warranty. We were told that the warranty was taken at all Range Rover dealerships. The coverage would be the same as what Range Rover would offer. So we paid $3000.00 for the warranty, and it turns out we were scammed. The warranty is not what they said it was. A month after we purchased the vehicle the service engine light came on. We took it to Range Rover and we were surprised when they said that they do not take third party warranties, unless they are purchased from Range Rover themselves. I called every Range Rover dealer in NJ and no one takes the warranty. At Range Rover, the service manager punched in the vehicles VIN- he told us that the vehicle was still under manufacturers warranty until Nov 2024. My husband had questioned this prior to the purchase and we were told that the warranty could not be transferred because we were not the original owner! The vehicle was repaired under the manufacturers warranty and we went on our way. We made numerous calls to the dealership wanting to cancel the warranty and get a refund but our calls and messages were consistently ignored. We were able to purchase a warranty thorugh Range Rover as long as it was still under manufacturers warranty. It was explained to me that we can purchase a bumper to bumper premium warranty which covered everything except normal wear and tear on the vehicle. At that point we decided we were going to cancel the warranty. We called for weeks- Finally, my husband finally text the manager who told him that the warranty could not be refunded but in good faith he would add 10 months onto the end of the warranty, at no extra cost. Well that never happened. My husband called faithfully every day for 4 months- and they sent him to voicemail every time. Seemed they were screening the calls. He never once spoke to a human being. After 4 long months of calls and leaving messages he just gave up. Fast forward to July 2025. The vehicle was now out of manufacturers warranty My daughter has yet another issue with the vehicle. The key fob was not being recognized. I went onto the warranty companies website and all of the repair centers were shotty small shops on the highway. I called the warranty company directly to see what the process was and as I was on hold I found that you can actually cancel the warranty at any time . But it had to be cancelled with the dealer. They would do the paperwork, get the refund and mail the check to us. Sounded easy enough. So again I get on the phone and for 3 weeks called multiple times a day. I called the 2nd location. The Finance manager. The owner. The operator. Out of about 50 calls and numerous messages, I got 1 person on the phone- Lydia. Im assuming she was the receptionist. I explained the entire situation- and asked for the owner Avi. Of course Avi wasn't in- but would be in shortly- and she would give him the folder and he would call me. Well he never did. I called the warranty company and explained the situation- the woman was helpful and said that she would put a claim in as if the business had closed so I could get the refund. When she pulled our paperwork she was silent. THEY HAD ADDED THE PRICE OF THE WARRANTY TO THE COST OF THE VEHICLE AND PUT ON THE PAPERWORK THEY SUBMITTED THAT THEY CHARGED US $0.00 FOR THE WARRANTY! Needless to say they couldn't refund us anything because they didn't know how much they charged us . They made it seem as if they threw in the warranty with the purchase. So now we have a warranty that is useless and we're out $3,000.00. Then after purchase, I found that the cars (I purchased 2 Maseratis) had not been serviced despite updated service stickers in the window with grossly inaccurate recommended maintenance schedule and then 1 of the cars' check engine light came on and they've "fixed" it 3 times but it keeps coming back on. My temp tags are now expired but I can't get hard tags because the car can't pass inspection with the check engine light. Really upset as my husband and I were interested in a vehicle and I was texting with a salesman. The salesman said the price I named was doable but I had to come in to confirm. Once in the store the new salesman said no way. The office then called my husband back to say they would negotiate but when my husband went back in they didn't negotiate at all. They have people texting and calling promising you something then switching who you'll speak to when you get there. They promised my husband he could speak to the general manager when he arrived but the GM wasn't even there. They just try to get you in and sell you a car at any cost even dishonesty. Wish I read the reviews in advance. Horrible experience. 1) Cars.com did a prequalification that this dealer is associated with. The dealer called me with great positive energy and told me to bring the prequal. When I got there, they didn't find it in the system and said he prequal was not helpful so we had to run numbers again. All the phone calls and texts you receive prior to your experience there did not match my arrival. Don't associate with the website if you aren't going to have the right pass-off. 2) The young guy who went on the test drive with me was somewhat unhelpful in his approach during the test drive. While I understand he was attempting to "sell", I needed more maturity around knowledge of the car. Used language like "let's not waste each other's time" when I requested a soft pull on credit. 3) The car was not ready to leave the lot. Previous owner's bumper sticker on it and sticky glue on the dashboard that looked like damage. While I know you can clean those items, it wasn't appealing. Car also had a yuck smell and they tried to put a "tree" scent in the trunk. I've test driven several used cars this past week, and have yet to see a car "not ready" at a dealership. 4) Tried to charge me $200 for a "prequal" that actually was about to be a hard pull on my credit. $200 came up in the conversation, matter of fact, at the end. Manager was very rude pulling up my credit and going through my previous payments, relationship with my loan company and how he perceived the bank would view me. After being at several dealers, everyone was honest. Here, no one ever asked me what I was hoping to pay and what my monthly payments would be. We never even talked about actual numbers and what I was aiming for. And then saying things like "you're not putting down much" or that there wasn't much equity in my trade-in. Yes. I know. The atmosphere just didn't feel good. It felt shady. Salesman getting up to go "talk" to someone multiple times. They didn't ask the right questions and are making too many assumptions about people who walk through the door. I came in fully knowing my credit situation and where that would put me and I didn't need schooling on my credit situation on a large computer screen, standing up in front of others. Don't say good/bad credit if you aren't actually going to support people. You don't know people's situations. I would have walked out ready to drive a car home as I traveled 2 hours in. I was an easy customer. I knew exactly what I wanted and was ready to go. But they lost me on shady, poor customer service. Treat your customers better and assume less. read more

HONEST POST! I did not buy a car from them. HOWEVER, I will save you all a lot of time. I just hung up the phone (after finally getting through to someone). Spoke with a guy named Max. He told me the car I was interested was still available. I asked him what are the add on fees from the dealer, Doc Fees, Prep Fees, etc. He said, they only add on $3995.00 for "THEIR" bumper to bumper warranty, good for 12 months. Flew in from another state to buy a car that was listed for $27k. Once i got there and talked to the financial guy, I was given a quote of $44K. I was shocked and started accusing them of fraudulent advertising. Eventually the price was dropped down to $32k. After driving the car bar, got a warning that there is no anti-freeze. Filled it up and drove it over 1k miles back to the home state. 1.5 years layer had to change all the brake pads, rotor and sensor $2500+ 2 years later had to change all the tires $1300. Issue with sensors and the wireless charging never worked. I was told that the 2nd key which they could not find at the time will be shipped to me, never got shipped. I did not buy a car here. However, I almost pulled the trigger on a vehicle, it was a good price and good value, but due to me being out of state my costs were higher than the average buyer, and it also makes me as a customer more wary of purchasing than a typical customer. Here's the downside: The dealership does pull a bait-and-switch on sticker price vs. out-the-door price so that is why I drop a star. HOWEVER, end of the day the price was still very good and almost enough for me to purchase. Sami and Chris were very pleasant to speak with throughout the process. They were transparent on the pricing add-ons and ultimately the price for the vehicle was still solid. They didn't endorse the dealership policy but helped me take a step back to evaluate the overall car and the deal. And for being transparent on everything - along with all of my grueling questions - I think they deserve a better rating than they have been received previously. read more

My son purchased a Nissan Altima in December for 17,988.00 and when I reviewed the invoice, they charged him over 31,000.00, they also included a warranty for over 3,200.00 that he never wanted. He was basically charged over 35,000.00 for a 17K car, double the price. I try to resolve the issues with the manager by going to the dealer 3-times without any results. I will now seek legal advice and sue for damages, pain and suffering, and punitive damages based on all the negative reviews. Like so many negative reviews here, I was also scammed by these unscrupulous and deceitful people, engaging in deceptive trade practices. The business name is Certified Performance Motors. I was in communication with their Sales Specialist, Anthony Jackson, for over two weeks prior to flying out to NY (from Nashville). Anthony assured me that the price I saw on their website and other websites like AutoTrader, etc. was accurate but I had to go through their Financing in order to get that price, i.e. it would be much higher if I paid cash. I asked Anthony during several discussions to confirm the price and he did. The car was advertised for $32,988, and their website even showed you the down payment ($3,298.80) and the Amount Financed of $29,689.20. I have saved the evidence of that for my law suit. However, on 3/12/23, when I sat down with Alan Zhu, the Finance Manager, he changed the numbers on me and added several additional lines of various fees, and gave me a total finance amount of around $45k before taxes!! This was already very deceptive advertising as they did not honor the advertised price on their website nor on other websites they had the car listed (such as AutoTrader, etc.) But on top of that, they also added a mandatoryy Warranty coverage for $5,995. When I argued with them and demanded that they remove it, Alan said it was an Extended Warranty from BMW that I had to buy from them, and proceeded to show me the Extended Warranty coverage, which was for 100,000 miles or 120 months (with a $100 copay per incident). I tried my best to turn down this warranty and the other extra/deceptive charges, so Alan then left the room, and then after a while, Sami, their Sales Manager, came in and told me that he'll knock off the "Gap Insurance" charge and knock off $1,000 from the "Extended BMW Warranty", and continued to tell me how valuable this warranty was. After several pleas from my part to remove it, I finally, reluctantly, agreed to take it (in hindsight this was due to a lot of sales pressure). However, after getting all the paper work ready, Alan went through the pages very quickly and had me sign each one, hurrying me through the process. I trusted them that everything was in order, based on what we agreed to for over an hour, but when I got home from the very long drive from New York to Nashville, and went through the paper work the next morning (Monday March 13, 2023), I realied that they added the "warranty" charge amount (as well as the various other "fees") as a single line item as the Sales Price of the vehicle, but never gave me the warranty papers - it was not there! I called them right away and asked to speak to Alan - they put me on hold and said Alan was not available. So I called back, and Alan was still not available, so this time I left him a voice mail to call me back. Then I called again the same day (Monday, 3/13/23) and asked to speak to Sami (the Sales manager) but again was put on hold and then told he wasn't there. I called again - same treatment each time. I also called Sami on his cell phone but no answer. So I called the office again and left Sami a voice mail to call me back. No one called me back that day (Monday) or the next day (Tuesday)! Absolute crickets! The New York Consumer Affairs Title 20 states: "No person shall engage in any deceptive or unconscionable trade practice in the sale, lease, rental, or loan or in the offering for sale, lease, rental, or loan of any consumer goods or services", and it further clarifies "Deceptive trade practice" as "Any false, falsely disparaging, or misleading oral or written statement, visual description or other representation of any kind made in connection with the sale, lease, rental or loan or in connection with the offering for sale, lease, rental, or loan of consumer goods or services...." And I never got the BMW Extended Warranty!!! I plan on suing them. These guys are scam artists and need to be stopped! read more

I would stay far, far away from these people. They claim the price on their website doesn't include a down payment of thousands of dollars and when you challenge them on it, they claim it is a new policy they just added. The car I was interested in was listed on their site for $6000 less the actual price. These are the people who give used car sales such a shady reputation. read more

Update to my original review which was 3 stars only because the salesman and F&I guy seemed helpful. This after I drove from VA to see this car and they had the car advertised for $5000 below what the actual price was, which is their addition of a certification which is nothng more than maybe an oil change and visual inspection. They advertise that they are NIADA certified and the F&I person will mention that to wow the person, but all that is, is an orginization that certifies a used car dealership, and means they at one point were trained to manage a dealership effectively including effective selling. It has nothing to do with what warranty you get. I've bought afterthought market warranties in the past that cost close to $4000 over time, but it actually lasted 3 years All I got for this extra $5000 was 90 days! Also, I just had a full Multi Point inspection done at the dealer for $150, as an afterthought after dealing with this group. Be wary of this company"s business practices!! read more
