Update to my previous review from 10/07/21. I've since been contacted by the dealership (the Elmont location). A man by the name of Simon reached out to me with an apology for my experience, and was eager to make things right. He provided me with a couple of options, and followed through with his promise. I truly appreciate Simon and his efforts to quickly address my issues; too bad I wasn't able to work with him from the start. In good faith, I can't give a 5-star review, because that wasn't my experience, but I have upgraded my review to 3-star. I purchased my car here over 2 months ago, and still waiting to receive everything that's due to me that was agreed upon during the initial and subsequent visits, and on the yellow "We Owe" sheet. It took a whole month to get most of the items completed, but now we're past month two, and still waiting for the last 4 things, to no avail. I've been working with the GM, Tom who NEVER answers or responds to his cell phone or text messages anymore. During the first month, it was a struggle to reach him and he barely returned my calls or texts then. When I speak to my Salesperson Sanley, he says he'll look into it with Tom and get back to me, and nothing happens - crickets!!! The car was listed for sale, but still needed a plethora of things to be done to it; really should never have been posted for sale, if it wasn't ready! On the day of purchase, I was there 10 hours while they took care of some things, plus they were short-staffed. I only waited because I live 3.5 hours away. Since the GM, Tom seemed nice and appeared trustworthy (not to mention things were in writing and NYS Warranty), we agreed that I would take the car, but return for the remaining items to be done. I came back two different times - two weeks apart, allowing for parts, etc. to be ordered/delivered, but now over two months later, I'm still waiting for the remaining items owed. This is BY FAR THE WORST car buying experience I've ever had with a dealership, and I've purchased a lot of cars. I should have known by the mere fact that they advertise one price, but when you get there, it's actually thousands of dollars more; the very same thing that their advertisements claim other dealerships do. VERY HYPOCRITICAL AND UNETHICAL. It took them seconds to take my money, but it's taking months for them to make things right!!! I have made a review back in February about purchasing a Nissan Pathfinder. Since I was basically in a rush and urgently needing a car i thought buying a car here would be the perfect solution but unfortunately i was wrong. My mistake on purchasing my car here was not having a mechanic by my side to test a vehicle out first to see what are the issues. After purchasing a SUV that already had over 178k miles on it I should have stopped looking instantly. Now that it's December I been having issues with this car since May/June. Driver side window had stopped working, had to get that fixed. My wiper on the driver side completely stopped working, had to get that fixed. Now that it's winter my car is having trouble on starting up. Brought a new battery and that wasn't the case so now I have to spend extra money on a starter or alternator. Please save yourself the headache and stay away from this place. If this place is your last resort I advise you to have a mechanic by your side before you purchase anything. What an amazing experience I had with Sunrise Auto Sales. I walked in on 09/22/2020 looking to buy a car and was welcomed with a big smile by JOSEPH who showed professionalism, courtesy and provided me with water, a chair to sit down, an outlet to charge my cellphone while letting me look at pictures of my dream car on their computer . I felt so special and super excited. Mr. Borosilicate, the business owner was do honest, decent and demonstrated such integrity. He did paperwork, explained in details everything even how to pay back the bank faster. I left with the car of my dreams. They helped me get approved and that was amazing. The place is super clean, plenty chairs outside too, even a portable bathroom that smells so nice!!! Following day was Sept 23rd 2020 when they handed me my car and car key.
