I desperately wanted to order the apple pancake but decided I needed a more balanced option what with all the Christmas treats we'd been eating. I always liked Friendly's, Brighams when I was a child. So I grew up with them and was sad when they both closed. As an adult I discovered Bickfords, so this is the last of the family oriented breakfast /lunch places to go to. They were closed for a while. Only to remodel. I finally got to visit and glad I did. The place looks newer, although I found it a bit smaller, but still new and nicer. The menu is actually smaller, because they offer less food choices. Breakfast is all day, and the similar items from the menu are still there. The lunch has less to choose from. The service is fast, very attentive waitress. I ordered my regular breakfast with eggs and pancakes. They were good. The coffee was hot. Glad to see it open and I will return with friends and family. read more

Took my family to Bickford's last night, we couldn't have been more pleased. Our server Caitlyn was fantastic, we never needed to ask for a soda refill, she helped me decide on which of the 2 mails I should get, and she was 100% correct. The food was incredible my wife had the big apple, we were amazed by the size, my wife ate a quarter of it and our three children finished it this morning for breakfast. I had the Nashville Hot honey Chicken the biscuit was great, the chicken was juicy and spicy and the Sunnyside egg was perfectly cooked (thanks Catliyn) 2 of out teenagers had breakfast, which they loved and one had the Ruben which he is still talking about today. My sister had the burger which she loved and I ate some of her onion rings that were awesome. We have never been before and the place looked newly remodeled and was spotless. read more

So bummed. This used to be our favorite All Day Breakfast place. They closed for awhile to do renovations. We hit it on Valentine's Day and what was good is that we got seated right away, it wasn't loud and the chef was fast. Sadly the portion sizes were smaller and the price went up. We wouldn't have minded the price increase, but our identical omelettes were noticeably different in size and the bigger one was puny. Not sure if they made mine smaller because I opted for the 3 pancakes that always come with it and my partner opted for just the toast. (You have to decide which option you want). Our waitress didn't have the warm, friendly vibe we remember pre-renovation and we left hungry. Major bummer. read more

This is very much a Bickford's. You're generally going to get a good, satisfying meal, and the location looks great. I've gotten breakfast here, enjoyed it. During the pandemic I typically get a turkey club with fries, and that's been consistently great. I like how crispy they do fries here. Prices are pretty good. Not really anything here you can't get elsewhere, but I can be confident that whatever I order is going to make for a satisfying meal. For negatives, it's like, whenever I order from a Bickford's, there's a 30% chance they're just going for forget something entirely. Usually it's the drink (I always have to remind them that I ordered a coffee), but sometimes it's straight-up and appetizer or something like that. Just be sure to check your order. So yeah, overall, I enjoy going here, and I always feel like I'm going to get a good meal. That's really all you can hope for with a bunch place, so I'm glad to live near one. read more

I just had a very nice dining experience at Bickford's Grille. I was greeted warmly as soon as I entered the restaurant, and was promptly led to my table. My waitress Lindsey then greeted me before taking my drink order. As an appetizer, I ordered a crock of New England clam chowder that was served, piping hot, and was delicious. For dinner I had the Ipswich whole belly clam appetizer that was also delicious. Lindsey was very pleasant throughout my visit. read more

Pretty above average breakfast spot that reinvented itself with lunch and dinner and selling liquor. Years ago around 2009-2011 I would frequent this spot after work. We used to call it 'the dollar store' because they had $1 bud lights and $2 sam seasonable drafts. They would also do live music and trivia at nights. Fast forward to last night and I have no idea what they do now but they serve 12 oz bud light drafts for $2.50 and the food is still pretty good. Great wraps and club sandwiches. Ambiance is more less the same. Decent size bar area. Few tvs in there with random games on. Crowd is a little Maine like, laid back and from the boonies. Just a terrible experience I can't believe we wasted a Saturday morning at bickford's. We waited 20 minutes to be seated and then we were told to put on our patients because the kitchen is backed up with takeout orders so after we ordered it was another at least 15 to 20 minutes before we finally got our food the toast was so soggy smothered with so much butter or Grease in barely cooked. The home fried potatoes had an odd taste maybe old grease. And a teeny tiny coffee cup was just hard to satisfy my coffee taste. The place is sticky & has an odor same condition as pre-pandemic time. Last time I'll go. Took the fam for bfast food as it was a request of my senior parent. Server made it extremely uncomfortable that one of our party brought food as she can only eat particular food however, rest of us paying customers. Empty place at our visit by the time we got our order in but server still HAD to make it awkward and say we couldn't eat it. But then said it's ok since empty restaurant. Then why even make party uncomfortable and embarrassed? Now for the place itself. A patron behind us clearly farted and needed a guide to get out and server/mgr/owner? Did nothing. I helped her leave as she had disability. I was ready to leave by that time. Restroom has odor and sticky old tiles and clearly need to be gutted and redone. Restaurant itself is worn out, tables chairs sticky, chair had spot on it I didn't want to sit on. Food- mediocre small portions, overcooked scrambled eggs and my omelet was dry and I paid extras but they were null? I ordered mushroom spinach onion and where the bleep were they? Raw onions, toast was barely toasted, potatoes like they scraped what was left old in pan on my senior parents dish. Toast on top of the potatoes, I don't know, to make plate look like it HAD potatoes on it? Small square plate and omelet tiny. Come on now, $11 for what? I'd never go back nor recommend. Dump and Mediocre, flavorless. It might be ok to eat here if you're drunk. read more
