Wow, it was finally reasonably priced when I was in town for a campus visit w a grandson. His sister who is a current student could easily visit. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, tons of places to store or plug in stuff. Great shower & bathroom. I had a view of a beautiful cemetery. My only complaint In was while it was clean, it wasn't "to the corners" clean.

Time for another Pros and Cons list. Pros: 1. Very central to anything at IU and a short walk to many restaurants and coffee shops 2. Free parking 3. Beautiful building architecture 4. Good in-room coffee packets (and mini coffee maker) Cons: 1. Rooms look old and the decor is dated 2. Bathrooms are very small 3. No soundproofing of any kind (see #1) - you will hear EVERYTHING happening in the hallways. 4. The staff varies wildly - some are great and some are not helpful at all 5. Elevators are old and tiny

Biddle is an IU owned hotel conveniently located on campus. A bit old and traditional looking in appearance, the hotel has connections to the IU Memorial Union with IU offices and meeting rooms, as well as the IU bookstore to buy that Hoosiers swag. The room I received was a double queen, which had a really tiny bathroom (I thought it was almost a closet!). There was a sink at the front of the room as I entered with a light up makeup mirror, which was convenient when getting ready in the mornings. There was central air in my room as well as a TV with a few cable channels. Breakfast is served in the IMU, which was a bit bland at best. They ran out of many options during the days I stayed, which resulted in just coffee for breakfast (which one day, they also ran out of). Overall, okay for the convenience.

Great, comfortable stay at Biddle Hotel. The location was prime for a campus tour, lots of restaurants and amenities nearby. Historic architecture. Ideal place to stay if visiting Indiana University.

Cons, and they can be very significant. Maintenance and safety are a big problem. No hand sanitizers stations filled. Multiple hooks coming off in bathroom. Rusty Elevators and worn out carpets. Safety issues. Anybody can walk to any room. Overall, it's a hotel run like a not-for-profit where they do just enough to make for an acceptable stay but there is little to no luxurious feel, and the prices can be high. Our suite was $400/night in summer when school was out (as low season as it gets). the service from the front desk was pleasant.

We stayed here for a wedding and had a good experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. There is a lot going on being right in the heart of campus. The rooms are a little smaller than normal but do the job. Bathrooms were nice. I would stay here anytime.

I was asked to let them know how my stay was so far ( I stayed for a week and was asked on my second day and I simply said that an extra chair in the room would be a nice touch and later on that evening I heard a knock on my door and to my surprise I was handed a chair to add to me room... WOWZERS!!! I have to give a major shout out to Ms. Johna who made sure breakfast was fresh hot and very YummyLicious every morning!!! She became my favorite and her smile was amazing!!! My only concern was/ is that my personal Grey hand towel was taken when the Housekeeper cleaned the room, changed the linen and changed out the towels she took mine. That didn't make sense to me and I did report IT and there was nothing done to replace my towel once they did a search and could not find IT. Because of that. I give them. 4 's!!!

Also the t v stations aren't exactly anything to write home about. But other than that, I enjoyed my stay very much. A minor inconvenience nothing major and nothing to prevent me from wanting to come back.

One of the worst customer service experiences I've had…read more On April 24, 2026, I was traveling alone with two children, including a toddler, when I discovered at 5 AM that my vehicle had been towed and I was at risk of missing my flight. The most frustrating part wasn't even the tow--it was the complete lack of help from the hotel. I was essentially handed the tow company's phone number and told to figure it out myself. I had to repeatedly push for management involvement and ask the hotel to contact the tow company directly because I couldn't get answers on my own. Afterward, getting follow-up information was just as difficult. Emails went unanswered, I had to repeatedly request updates, and it took multiple follow-ups just to obtain basic information about my case. What really stood out was that the tow company owner ultimately showed more accountability than the hotel. He reviewed the situation, acknowledged how the misunderstanding could have happened, and refunded the tow fee. Meanwhile, the hotel's position was essentially that it wasn't their problem. I understand that mistakes happen. What disappointed me was the lack of communication, ownership, and concern for a guest dealing with a stressful situation while traveling with young children.

Beware if using digital check-in at this hotel…read more I checked in through the Hilton app, received a digital key, arrived to an unattended front desk, and went directly to my room like Hilton's digital system is designed for. Overnight, my car was towed even though I was a registered paying guest. No direct parking warning was provided in the app, no staff member was present when I arrived, and no attempt was made to verify whether the vehicle belonged to a guest before towing it. I ended up paying about $300 and losing half a workday retrieving my vehicle. Management's response was essentially "there were signs posted," despite acknowledging the front desk may be unattended and despite the fact that Hilton encourages guests to bypass the desk entirely through digital check-in. The towing practices associated with this property feel extremely aggressive toward actual hotel guests, and management showed no willingness to take responsibility or provide any reasonable customer-service resolution. If you stay here, do not assume digital check-in means your arrival process is complete. Apparently you can still be towed as a paying guest.
