The good stuff first . The rooms, Lobby and restaurant area are all really nice and newly remodeled. The location is great but also the source of my lower score. Because it is a downtown location with rooms on the street it tends to be noisy. I highly suggest the highest floor possible. I was on the 2nd floor with my windows overlooking the sidewalk. I could hear people walking by and talking until later at night. The other nice thing is the atrium. Great outdoor furniture and secluded from the busy city center. It's a great spot to bring your dog as it also has pet clean up stations and trees with lots of nice birds to watch too. Now for the bad part. Since there is no private parking lot you have to park next door in a city garage. It's very low at 6'-10" so if you have an over height truck forget it. My standard Ford F150 fits but even it was a little uncomfortable feeling. Also with longer vehicle navigation inside the garage is a bit tight and the spaces are narrow. But even worse is that as a hotel guest you have to park on the upper floors then ride the elevator down to access the hotel through an outside entrance. Then get on a different elevator to go to the hotel lobby. I didn't see any carts to make carrying luggage easier so I just made 3 trips up and down the elevators each time. Maybe they have carts but I didn't see them. And of course you have to pay a daily fee to the garage and use a key card to get in and out.So really the parking is the worst part for me but I don't know what else they could do at this location.

Mold in the grout and dirty shower floor

The front desk check in was quick and friendly The room we got was a nice size with standard decor BUT it has not been cleaned properly. Ever sliding counter surface had stained and hadn't been wiped down. The grout in the shower is moldy. The floors have old footprints from past people that are signify larger than our small 6.5 sized feet. And stains on our sheets. Basic cleaning has not been done.

I've seen worse but it's never a good sign to see mold along the shower tub perimeter

First of all the Bloomington area is amazing and this hotels' location is in the heart of the city with easy access to all the sites dining IU campus and more. Second the rate for this hotel is very reasonable. Third one might expect a college town or similarly an airport location hotel to have some wear and tear. That all being said we had expected a slightly nicer room than the king premium we stayed in. Upon arriving the room was very hot which is not uncommon but the old a/c unit undoubtably on its last 6 to 12 month of service like- took a long time to cool things off. Our corner room and bath seemed very small for premium king but HGI rooms are often much smaller. The bath room fan sounded like a Harley motorcycle, and there was mold on the tub and bugs crawling out from a hole beneath the tub (see pics). One elevator being out of service did not help matters. Overall parking was easy, the staff very friendly, and the hotel location again could not be better for enjoying the area. A decent stay but you may want to try the graduate hotel nearby or the newer home2suites.

You must wear your face masks, and also this is a social distancing hotel. So far, so great! I'm here for about a week, so I decided to stay at Hilton. So far, I love the hotel and the employees. The room is clean, have a coffee maker, but I don't drink coffee. Many residents near by and a nice comfy bed. They have snacks and drinks at the check out desk. You can pay for your snacks immediately, or it can be billed to your room. Great hotel, and I'm happy that I chose here.

    - 2:30 am evacuate (fire alarm). Thankful for fire response. No one from hotel said anything to us...

While the property is a bit dated the bed was very comfortable and the staff proved to be very helpful.

The eggs and biscuits & gravy were especially good--fresh, hot, and actually flavorful, which you don't always get with hotel breakfasts. The room itself was spacious, which we appreciated, but there were a couple of comfort issues. It tended to run a bit warm, and the thermostat didn't seem to cool down to the temperature we set. The air also felt pretty dry overnight. We had an accessible (handicap) shower, and while it was easy to use, it left about half of the bathroom floor soaked after each shower. That made the floor very slick, which was a bit of a safety concern. We also liked that the hotel had a pool, which is always a nice perk, but it was pretty small. Overall, a nice stay with great amenities and breakfast, but a few room comfort and bathroom design issues that could be improved.

Small food store in the front that was very reasonably priced. Rooms were clean, bright and well appointed. Didn't use room service but it was very clean and well dressed. Breakfast setup is typical for the chain and well stocked. Attendants did a great job every day that I was there and they were always cheerful. One drawback is that the gym is very limited. There is enough to get in a workout but the cardio gear is very dated. Overall, solid experience and I recommend this location for a short or long stay.

My wife went to sleep before me, and so when I got into bed and was overwhelmed by the absolute stench of another human's body, especially on the pillow cases and at the top of the covers, which he must have tucked into his stank pits, smearing his sweat and cheap deodorant all over them. It was revolting. I've heard of hotels not changing sheets between guests to save time/money, but I've never been absolutely certain I've been subjected to that kind of filth. Until my April 2026 stay at this hotel. Since my wife was already sleeping (boy did she pick the right side of the bed) I didn't want to disturb her and waited until morning to complain. The person at the front desk seemed to think I was trying to get extra housekeeping (the hotel explicitly does not offer daily housekeeping; hell, they don't even always do it between guests!) and was distant with me about it, saying that "maybe" they'd be able to squeeze in my room today, they'd "do their best". This reaction is why I'm taking the time to write a review; things happen, maybe it was bad luck, but the nonchalant "eh, idk if we have time to change your sheets today" response sent me over the top. My bedding did get changed, but I would NEVER stay here and would warn anyone else to avoid it at all costs.

The most frustrating part wasn't even the tow--it was the complete lack of help from the hotel. I was essentially handed the tow company's phone number and told to figure it out myself. I had to repeatedly push for management involvement and ask the hotel to contact the tow company directly because I couldn't get answers on my own. Afterward, getting follow-up information was just as difficult. Emails went unanswered, I had to repeatedly request updates, and it took multiple follow-ups just to obtain basic information about my case. What really stood out was that the tow company owner ultimately showed more accountability than the hotel. He reviewed the situation, acknowledged how the misunderstanding could have happened, and refunded the tow fee. Meanwhile, the hotel's position was essentially that it wasn't their problem. I understand that mistakes happen. What disappointed me was the lack of communication, ownership, and concern for a guest dealing with a stressful situation while traveling with young children.
