Bier is a laid back brewery. They have an outdoor patio, and are dog friendly. They don't serve any food, but you are able to order delivery. They had a lot of TVs and it would be a great place to watch a game. I tried the pumpkin ale; they also offer flights. They have all the awards their beer has won displayed on the wall.

This is the original space for Bier. It has a chill vibe with lots of tap choices. Beer is good for all selections. The staff here is very friendly. Outdoor patin space is nice but it is in a parking lot so it may be a bit warm in the heat of the summer. Great spot to grab a beer and enjoy a chill place.

Unassuming from the outside and not super large but you walk in and see all the awards won with their different beers . My first time I thought ok, they must have something good going on here. The Pumpkin Ale was just released and very good. Its seasonal so it won't last long. They also have a much bigger second location in Carmel that's worth checking out.

This is the original Bier Brewery, and they have some of the best locally brewed beer in town. There are typically 9 of their beers on tap, and always a nice selection of IPAs. They don't sell any food besides a German pretzel, but those pretzels are amazing. Unfortunately they don't offer the hot mustard with them anymore, but the cheese they come with is pretty darned good! We just learned that there is live bluegrass the third Tuesday of the month, so that is what brought us here tonight. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to Old Coyote play in this intimate space.

After seeing and tasting Bier brews on various local tap menus, we visited their 65th street brewery/tap room on a brew bus tour, located about 10 minutes from Broad Ripple. The tap room has a fun, relaxed vibe and their chalkboard menu is always filled with fun and detailed art (check out their Instagram page to see!). The tap room is dog friendly and you can bring in your own food as well! (During the day, and until 6pm, try Moveable Feast right next door!) Lately we've been going every Wednesday for trivia night, when they incidentally also offer $4 pints of all of their beers. They also host some other game nights during the week as well. Their brewing awards speak for themselves and they have a solid selection and variety of beers for all tastes.

Love this spot. It's underrated and always low key. Which is my kinda place. Beer is good and staff is always really friendly. They're dog friendly too which is always a bonus. They have free events and everyone is always laid back!

So, full disclosure, I haven't visited the tap room in person, but have enjoyed many of Bier Brewery's creations at events and in cans! With the ongoing covid 19 pandemic, I'm enjoying food and beverages from local businesses at home these days. I enjoyed a PDG pale ale with takeout fried chicken tonight and had an amazing meal. It's a good hoppy selection but isn't jumping on the bandwagon of "extreme hoppiness" if that makes any sense. In other words, it won't overwhelm food. They carry the PDG at Market District if anyone is looking for it. I really do hope to visit in person once this way too long pandemic is under better control!

It was nice to come back to Bier Brewery after a year absence from Covid-19. Before the pandemic hit, I would come here to Bier Brewery quite often for beer fests and their special release beer events. Bier Brewery has a wonderful craft beer selection such as their South Simcoe IPA and their PDG pale Ale. The redrum beer is supposedly very good as well, but have not tried it yet. The Brewery has been around for quite a while and it is nice to see that they are still going strong during this pandemic. I look forward to when they start having events again and we can taste their new releases, because they produce wonderful new beer each year. The Halloween release beers were the reason to come to Bier Brewery, so I am hoping this will be resurrected by this next year. It is worth it!!

Loved hanging out at Bier Brewery with our dog in their newly renovated taproom. The taproom has multiple choices of seating at large tables, bar top, couches and high top tables. They do not serve food however we brought in our own sandwiches which paired great with all their beers. They have a great selection of beer from light to dark. Their pumpkin beer is the best that I have ever tasted. They are dog friendly in the tap room. The offered treats and water for our pup. They have euchre, live comedy, painting and trival nights. Check them out.

I met a friend here for a meeting last week after work. I have to admit, I thought this was another place (on Binford) and got a little confused, and didn't even know this place was here. Sure, I've heard of Bier Brewery before and I have had their beer at other places, but this was my first trip to the brewery. Sits on the corner of a strip mall with limited outdoor seating out front. Lots of places to sit inside though, including some big tables, small high top tables, and a bar in the back corner. Very relaxing and casual and stuff stuffed above the restrooms and in every nook and cranny. Specials most evenings. I arrived during their growler fill special, although I just stuck with a couple of pints. They were advertising their pumpkin release while I was there, so I'll have to stop back in for that. All in all, a pretty good place with great beer, casual environment and very friendly staff.

Indy has so many great breweries and it helps that they are dog-friendly so you can have your four-legged friends around. Bier is moments from our house and it's a very quaint taproom. It's got your standard board games and you can order food to eat here but I really like the fact that they sell cold beer so you can come in and grab a six pack or mix and match different cans and create your own pack. They also have some wooden carved pieces for sale that are pretty cool to check out. I'm not a huge beer drinking but I like to try different options and I think having a flight of beers would've been pretty cool but they do let you sample at the counter. They have a couple of small tables outside for when it's nice too!

    Bonnie L.

I am NOT a beer drinker and I usually stay away from breweries like this because of uncomfortable seating (I'm a BIG girl)... WELL, I really LIKE this place! (Though I have a terrible headache, I'm just not use to beer) Bier is very cozy, very relaxed atmosphere. I understand totally why this is a favorite local spot! Only single bathrooms that are right in the seating area, but very clean. The decor of the place is award winning medals and trophies I will definitely spread the word and I look forward to another visit! Thanks

One of my favorite breweries in Indianapolis! They serve great beer all year round (especially during the fall when they bring out the pumpkin ale) that they have something for everyone. The special kolsch and the weizengoot are two of my top faves for year round beer. The taproom is super welcoming to humans and fur babies and sometimes on Friday nights they have a comedy show that is free to attend. No food here except for some chips and pretzels but you can order in if you would like. No surprise that they have many awards on the wall. Shows they are consistently good. Outdoor area in the summer and plenty of parking. I plan to revisit this place often!

Different food trucks parked outside daily, too!

We got there early and were able to have some drinks and food, including the nachos. Man, I was not expecting BBQ sauce and like a mustardy sauce and cheese and it was flavor exploding, loved it. With the event we had catered pork/chicken as well as sides. Everything was great, the peppercorn dressing for the salad was so amazing, I would definitely think of a salad here in the future. The venue inside the space, with the car, is quaint with seating and you get to see everything happening outside the space as well. This last time, we were in the original Guggman Haus brewing building that houses the coffee. This is adorable! We had service the entire time, including a bartender and the beer. They made everything super easy and I would consider this space for a baby shower, bridal shower, etc. We had 25 people and it fit wonderfully. There is also outside space for overflow, so it makes it very reasonable. Now onto the beer! I had the IPA Riverside, very hazy with a great flavor. Then I went off the rocker and ordered some prickly pear drink, I was not expecting how good that was! Refreshing and light, easy to drink (probably too easy) and the flavor was perfect! Try it if you are there, it is a newer option. PROS: Parking easy, street and lot Many open spaces and areas to rent Games are included, so eat, drink and enjoy company They have trivia nights, woohoo CONS: Sometimes the food is not always a hit, nothing to state specifically today, but I recall in the past saying to myself, don't order that again. So, try everything and find what you like. The place is great and the beer/food options are good, so you will find something you like.

The brewery is housed inside a beautifully restored church, and walking in for the first time is worth the visit alone. The soaring ceilings, stained glass, and original architecture make for one of the coolest brewery spaces I've been to around Indianapolis. We stopped in during the early afternoon, so it was nice and quiet. We were greeted right away, and our server was incredibly friendly. She walked us through the beer flights, made some great recommendations, and never made us feel rushed. The flights were also surprisingly affordable, which made trying a few different brews an easy decision. For lunch, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries, while my friend went with the Italian sandwich. Both plates were generously portioned, and neither of us left hungry. The pulled pork was tender, flavorful, and piled high on the sandwich, while the fries were perfectly crispy alongside it. Between the quality of the food and the reasonable prices, it felt like an excellent value. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between historic and casual. TVs are scattered throughout if you're catching a game, music plays in the background, and despite the grand setting, it still feels comfortable enough to settle in for a while. Whether you're stopping by for a beer flight, lunch, or just to admire the incredible building, St. Joseph Brewery is well worth adding to your Indianapolis list. I'll definitely be back.
