    Beet and Arugula

I just wanted to grab some food for takeout to eat on the train ride home, so I can't speak much to seating experience here. The outdoor area definitely is vibey at night though. I got a pretzel and the beet and arugula salad to go. Service was relatively quick. I got my food in like 15 minutes or less. It was packaged with care and I was given utensils and napkins in a big bag. I love that they have a bunch of different mustards, which are great for the pretzels or bratwurst. I grabbed a couple of spicy ones and one made with wine I think. Yum. Pretzel was delicious. I liked the cheesy sauce it came with. But honestly the beet salad was incredible. Like who would have thought a Biergarten would have a killer salad. I would go back just for that salad. Props to their chef. I will definitely be back to try more food items next time I'm in SB!

Every single time I've been here, it has always been great. The crowds seems to be all the local Santa Barbara college kids. They're open late and the beer keeps pouring. Parking can be tricky as it's street parking but there's a small lot in the back that offers valet parking. We always forget about it. Bar/restaurant itself has both indoor and outdoor seating. Honestly feel like the outdoor gets used more. For the chilly nights, they do have loads of heat lamps and fire pits placed through-out the patio area. Food is also served. You order at the register which a number is given to you and place it on your table. Seat yourself. Food can also be ordered at the bar area where you order drinks. This visit, it happened to be October. So obviously Oktoberfest was happening. All the staff were dressed up in the lederhosen and dirndl. The vibe was amazing. Just made feel like you're part of the celebrations. Drinks were constantly rolling as it was non stop. A few size options for beer to choose from. They do have an amazing selections of beer on draft as well as wine. You order your drinks at the counter and wait for your name to be called. Everyone was alway so friendly. Younger crowd but they're all there to have the same fun as everyone else. And you can't have Oktoberfest without the jumbo pretzels. It comes with a cheese sauce but there's loads of mustard to choose from inside. Service has always been amazing everytime we been. It's also pet friendly so the fur babies can enjoy the fun too. Plus live bands. The past few times they've always had one. It could also be certain days but it's alway been fun. It does get busy so finding a table can be a hassle as it's first come first serve and open seating. There's a lot of communal tables so mingle and make new friends.

I've come to Biergarten several times it's is without fail a fantastic place to come to. The drinks, the ambiance, the food. Everything is always top notch here it's an incredibly yummy place to come to I usually get the smarty and cherry blossom seltzer. Can't beat that combo for me. Highly highly recommend

    Burger week!

Came here for the burger week and they did not disappoint! This time they also had all their beers in stock so we went with a sampler. Their burger was delicious! The pesto sauce with the mozzarella, tomatoes and arugula gives it an Italian flavor. I do like how the mozzarella was not melted, so it reminded me of the caprese salad. It does come with fries... and a dipping sauce bar. I do like how they had a variety of sauces, but ended up settling with the jalapeno mustard, spicy brown mustard, and Dijon wine mustard. The pickles that come with the burger is a crowd pleaser, being a mix of little bit of sweetness with vinegary. This is something different than a traditional burger so I highly recommend trying it during the burger week!

Visited my old stomping grounds this weekend (go Gauchos) and had to make a stop at Biergarten for some bites and brews. The poutine slapped as per usual and the fig and goat cheese pizza was a sweet surprise! Loved it. This place has only gotten more popular over the years (for good reason) so it took some time to find a seat, but the vibes were immaculate. Young people and dogs af at this establishment. And they were playing Young Sheldon on the Tv. Love

We were greeted upon entrance and helped right away. The service was great. And the food was delicious. What's really cool is you can choose outdoor seating or indoor seating. Whatever your preference is, it's nice and comfortable.

Great service, our picks are the delicious smash burger and unique flavor of German potato salad. A definite go to spot when in Santa Barbara and want something off the Main Street of downtown. Love the vibe and the ciders.

Great service, great pizza, and a chill atmosphere. Riley and Nolan were very nice and personable. I ordered the veggie pizza vegan style. It was tasty. My kids had cheese pizza and they gave it 5 out 5 stars. My husband had the smash burger and said it was delicious. They offer free valet service which is a plus when you don't want to have to look for parking.

First time at the Funk Zone, and this Biergarten definitely caught our eye. We sat outside in the patio against the taps, and just had a grand ol' time! The staff was young, fun, and extremely accommodating. We were allowed to try their beers before ordering. The beertenders knew a lot about their brews and also taught us a lot about the Santa Barbara area. We spent about two hours here. Food was also delicious. We had their schnitzel and Cesar salad. Try it out on one of your beer crawls!

We asked Erick to add all the toppings and add bacon. He made us the most delicious hot dogs that tasted gourmet. Everything about this hotdog was elevated, from the thick cut bacon to the delicious sauces Erick drizzled on the dogs. I would highly recommend getting a hot dog from this pop-up if you see it around town. I didn't ask Erick if they catered, I assume they do, but I would even recommend hiring them for your next event...really good quality quick comfort food! I have to add, I think a lot of the bad reviews are from people who stumbled upon this pop-up very late at night and assumedly drunk, so I would take some of the reviews that are bashing this spot with a grain of salt! Give this spot a try and let them know what you think! Erick was encouraging me to give him constructive feedback if I wasn't completely satisfied with my order, a really good sign of a good business looking to please their customers!

Visited twice in one day -- that should tell you everything…read more I make a point of hitting up a different taco spot whenever I'm in Santa Barbara, and this trip I did both locations back to back: the diner on Milpas, then the food truck near the SB Bowl a few hours later. Standout was the rajas con queso -- genuinely one of the best versions I've had, and somehow even better from the truck than the diner. Also tried pastor, cabeza, carnitas, and shrimp, and every single one delivered. No weak link on the menu. What I appreciate about Pipeye is that it's not a tourist-line spot -- it's the kind of place locals actually recommend when you ask. I posed that exact question to a Mexican family, and after a beat of consideration, their answer was Tacos Pipeye. That tracked with everything I'd already experienced. If you're comparing SB taco spots -- La Super-Rica gets the tourist attention, but ask around and you'll hear El Bajío and Lilly's come up just as often among people who eat here regularly. Pipeye belongs in that conversation too, and for me, it's currently at the top. Diner and food truck both worth seeking out. Will be back next visit.

I…read moredidn't want to leave Santa Barbara without getting proper tacos, so naturally I took his advice. And the tacos were amazing! Four for $12 is such a good deal. I got the chicharron, al pastor, chorizo with potatoes, and carnitas. A symphony of pork if you will. Each filling was very flavorful. The meats were marinated and seasoned well. But then adding the salsas balanced the richness of each type of pork. To break it down even further, the carnitas were juicy. The al pastor had a nice smoky notes. The texture of the chicharron was soft due to the saturation from the salsa, yet still had a some chewiness. And the chorizo and potatoes were filling. Lastly, the handmade corn tortillas were soft and also flavorful. My mom got the quesadilla with carnitas, and that was also really good. We added a side of rice because rice is life, and it was fluffy with a nice brightness from the tomatoes. Service was great - the gentleman who took our order was friendly and welcoming. The space is small, but the tacos come out fast so turn around time can be quick. There's bar seating inside and out, and there's a few tables inside as well. It's going to be hard to go anywhere else if I want tacos. I'm totally coming back for more.
