First time here while visiting Santa Barbara Mission with my family. Free parking lot and plenty of outside seating on a beautiful sunny day. Jasmine took great care of us with recommendations on sausages and beer selection. We had the sausage sampler (chicken apple sage, Italian with goat milk cheddar, bacon cheese jalapeño, and bratwurst). Each sausage was delicious. My daughter had a cheeseburger and even though basic (she only likes lettuce, tomato, and sauce) it was juicy and cooked medium. After doing some wine tasting with friends, we stopped into Biergarten for take out dinner to bring to the beach. The line wasn't too long, so we were able to order quickly. It took a bit to get our order, but they were very busy with every table taken. All three of us ordered different sausages (served in a bun), and I got mine with sauerkraut. My friends both got the Chicken Apple Sage ones. They said that it was good but pretty basic and plain (one prefers plain foods in general so it was a nice fit for her). I got the Bacon Cheddar one, which was tasty but didn't have a particularly strong flavor of bacon or cheesiness. They provide some pickled things on the side to eat with your sausage, but we all felt we needed more topping options including a sauce or mustard. It's kind of sad for me to write this because I really like this spot but what happened that day when I went with my friends was so stupid and outrageous that I felt like I had to tell my little weekend story. Anyways I had spent about 175$ on food and beers there and was walking up to the bar to order some more where I got denied. I asked why because I wasn't drunk or making a scene, being loud etc. The bartender which is a tall lanky dude said "I cannot serve you anymore because you and your friend stole our beer glasses" lmao I was like what ?! He then responds with this "I saw you guys stand up and leave the bar to go on the patio and you brought your glasses there" so I'm like yeah no shit I did dude I brought my drink with me to go sit with other friends outside. He just wouldn't let go and just kept accusing me of stealing their stupid glasses so I told him bring your manager, he called him over and I explained myself saying I was accused of stealing yet even he didn't budge, I was like wtf is happening here like am I going around town to different bars and steal beer glasses ? Jesus Christ. I then asked the manager look at the cameras and you'll see and didn't steal anything but told me there weren't any cameras here. I was like yeah okay bud no cameras at the central bar really lol ? Then I told him if I stole then why don't you call the cops ? He just didn't reply. Finally, after just waisting my time here and arguing for like 5 mins with these two dweebs and with no positive end in sight, I payed and left and obviously won't go back. Staff was really great. My husband and I both ordered beef franks at the front counter. I also ordered mine with sauerkraut but when my food came out it wasn't on the plate and the server said they ran out. The table next to us had their order served about 10 min later and they had sauerkraut on their plate. We ended up with 3 sausage platters, a pretzel, and a burger. The sausages were good, they had that nice snap to them and were packed with flavor. However, they did not come with buns which is a little odd to me. So we ordered a pretzel, which was alright, the cheese sauce was the show of that order. The burger was mediocre, I did not find it special and honestly, could have gotten a similar one from in-n-out. Well, the first word that comes to mind regarding the Biergarten is, Perfect! I may be prone to hyperbole but when something or someplace is exactly how you would design it yourself you absolutely need to give it those high accolades. The world, and certainly this town, is chock full of places pouring gallons of IPA's: West coast, East coast, English, Double, Triple, Hazy, Super Hazy! Honestly? Can we just have some solid German and Belgian beers already? Yes you can, at the Biergarten!! A fantastic selection of beers both direct from Europe, Weihenstephaner, Andechs, Ayinger, Vanderghinst, Westmalle, as well as amazing local(ish) producers that are killing it in these styles such as Enegren, Stone & Mother Earth. OK there are a few token IPAs for those that just need to be bitter :-) (Stone again and Offshoot!!) Opened by the owners of the Copenhagen Sausage Garden of Solvang these folks definitely know how to operate. So, of course there is a huge array of sausages available as well as burgers and pizzas and, yes, pretzels. And if you are really daring try the schnitzel, or even the schnitzel poutine. Next time for sure :-) All in all a fantastic addition the SB beer and food scene and that's saying a lot since that scene is epic in this town these days !! So being German I was very eager to try this restaurant and taste some really delicious authentic sausages. As such I ordered the platter with a mix of three sausages Bockwurst, Currywurst and Bratwurst. The moment the sausages arrived I realized I made a massive mistake. All three varieties looked as if they were laying in the sun all day completely dried out, I'm not sure what their idea of a Currywurst is but it certainly does not resemble anything close to German. The Bockwurst and bratwurst also had virtually no flavor, unappealing appearance and zero juiciness, I thought someone gave me vegetarian sausage by mistake but unfortunately that was not the case. I wish I had something good to say but I was so upset when I left after wasting $19.95 on a let down meal I felt compelled to write about it. This is my first review ever but I'm doing for the good of my country and quality sausages everyone. I think the owners need to really examine the quality of their food and reassess what they're calling themselves because its certainly not German. But then when if the alcohol menu is 4x as large as the food menu that pretty much tells everyone what the priority is. I suggest you order a pizza, maybe it's better read more

Really fun new spot in town with LOTS of outdoor seating and beer selections. They have little barrel fires for heat when it gets cold, and a small indoor space for when that's a thing again.
