The worst cheeseburger, processed cheese food on burger , fries and onion rings were sooo greasy. Tables covered with bird poop.

Food was unedible, burger was simply a charcoal briquett, onion rings served like warm with at least an eighth of an inch of grease in the bottom of the basket, took over 20 minutes to receive food (I figured they cooked the burger that whole time, as dry and burnt as it was), after waiting 10 minutes to place the order at the counter. There are no handicap accessible areas on the patio. Will never go again. Horrible! Zero stars are not an option . read more

My husband and I ate a late lunch at the beer house yesterday. We both ordered shrimp tacos, one grilled and one fried. They were absolutely amazing! The service was prompt and very helpful. They were out of my husband's favorite beer, but the bartender offered another, which was just a great substitute! We sat outside and enjoyed the pergola in the swings as well as our view. I would recommend recommend this place to anyone who is interested in a wonderful and casual place that has great food! read more

Horrible disgusting overly priced. It took forever to get our food. The fries were soggy. The kids chicken strips were really spicy. The fries were really salty. It cost $58 for disgusting food. Horrible service, horrible timing horrible food. The drinks were good, but it was overly priced for basic drinks. I got a cob salad and it came with no dressing. Came here with my family while we waited for our condo to be ready. It was great! Loved the swings outside. I don't like sweet drinks, but the prickly pear margarita was amazing!!! There is a sign warning that their food takes time to prepare, that said it didn't seem to take too long to get our food but our orders were simple enough. Fish tacos - super fresh and delicious. Lemon pepper wings had a crispy skin, strong seasoning but we loved it. The buildings that piece this place together are an eclectic mix and you'll probably find yourself sitting outside but hey, it's an island feeling! We came here for the first time around 10PM on a Wednesday night for a late dinner. We beat a small crowd and ordered our food from the truck and food was brought out to us in 15 minutes or less. Located on the corner right across from the Holiday Inn & 2 blocks from the beachfront I can imagine how this place might stay busy (we chose it due to proximity/convenience ourselves). Menu is mostly burgers but they have salads and grilled cheese no bacon, etc. for the vegetarians. Food was alright, fries could have used salt/seasoning but the grilled cheese very good, your classic/stereotypical American cheese sandwich and crispy without being greasy. The croutons to the salad had a pickle flavor and were soft, I questioned if this was a cooking error but it was still good. They have a few tables of indoor seating inside (the music outside was a bit loud and not a fan of the country they were playing) but it smelled very heavily of cooking oil to where we immediately came back outside, just something to note if eating indoors is importance to you/ your meal planning. This venue is definitely designed with eating outdoors and being social in mind as the majority of the seating is outside, along with some other social activities/areas like cornhole to keep you hanging out till close. A cute fun spot to check out if you're in the area or need a late-night bite (they're open to midnight every night). read more

We were in port aransas for spring break, Tried their bacon cheese burger and their wings. They were both amazing the only downside was that it did take a long time to get our order but the food did come out nice and hot, but being that it is spring break I can't say I expected anything different! The ambiance was really laid back and we we able to swing in chairs and listen to live music so definitly an enjoyable time. read more

Visited 10/5/24 ~ I had the fish & chips. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger. My 4yr old daughter had the corn dog. My fish & chips was soooo good. Almost OMG good. The tartar sauce was great too. My husband said his cheeseburger was delicious. My 4yr old said her corn dog was "good". She's 4 so that's about all you get right now. The service was great. You order at the "container" and the bartender gives you a number & someone brings you your food. Both the bartender & food runner were very courteous. My only "complaints" are that the table we were sitting at (with adirondack chairs) didn't have enough lighting after the sun went down & the mosquitos got us (even in the dark). Having some citronella at sunset might be a good idea. (You can sit inside but the booths are by the kitchen & it was a nice night for sitting outside.) Oh, I didn't really like that the air conditioner was right above the drink station blowing air right above the kids to the drinks & straws. Hopefully the ducts are clean. Overall it was great & I'd definitely go back on another visit to Port A. read more

Love the seating and ambiance but drinks overpriced plus stand in line to order as long as 25 minutes then wait for drink near line as well - no service. (Wait in line to order food outside too but bring to table.) Got 2 prickly pears yesterday but not frozen - totally liquid- plus tasted like no alcohol for almost $16 each then want tip but no service. Drinks were awful. A small restaurant that had a decent selection of drinks and meals. The burgers were good and the fries were cooked to perfection. The fried pickles are the highlight. He ordered the mushroom Swiss burger (meat overdone but fries good he said). I ordered the 6 chicken wings (lemon pepper) and asked for all flats (which they accommodated). Tasty, crunchy, lemony and salty all which I like. (May be too salty for others). Also ordered the pretzel and beer cheese. An honest to goodness thick, gooey beer cheese which you can actually taste the beer; delicious! Big fluffy pretzel. Impressive. Sorry. No photos this time. The fish and chips were far too heavily breaded, and the fried mushrooms had the same issue. The Caesar salad was incomplete when it arrived--missing the croutons listed on the menu--and I had to ask for them separately. On the positive side, the prickly pear margaritas were tasty, and the outdoor atmosphere was pleasant. Although, located on a very busy corner. Went for a drink after dinner and the atmosphere is so fun! From the music to the service it was excellent. We were skeptical since the location used to be our beloved Shells but this was very nice change of pace for the island. Highly recommend! Didn't try the food but others said it was good! read more

If you enjoy receiving your food sitting in a puddle of grease this is the place for you. Ordered onion rings and burger. Onion rings weee limp and oily and had a puddle of grease underneath them. Burger was dripping with grease and had to remove it from bun and soak up the oil with napkins to eat. Onion rings were not edible Left hungry due to amount t of grease on food read more
