Pretty cool store and the older guy working the shoe department was VERY knowledgeable, it was very impressive. He made sure to measure your feet and gave you instructions on their little hiking/rock area to test your shoes so that you get the perfect fit. He also told us about the big upcoming sale that they have every year so my bf definitely took advantage of that! IG: @ammysalamii

At the time of purchase, the…read morestaff strongly encouraged me to buy an REI membership and clearly told me that if the product had any problem within one year, I could return it for a full refund. After experiencing a problem with the shoes, I returned to the store expecting REI to honor what they promised. Instead, the store manager, Peter, refused to accept the return, despite the shoes having a legitimate issue and despite the membership guarantees that were explained to me at the time of sale. This experience makes it very clear that REI's "one-year membership guarantee" is misleading and unreliable. What was presented as a benefit turned out to be meaningless when I actually needed it. I feel deceived and misled. This kind of practice damages customer trust and reflects very poorly on store management. Be careful before purchasing an REI membership or relying on their return promises. Based on my experience, the guarantee is not honored consistently, and customers may end up feeling scammed.

With that said, once inside, they do a great job of stocking as much as possible given that this is a slightly smaller Big 5 location than others. I always make a point of coming to this location first because chances are checkout lines will be shorter and then if they don't have what I'm looking for I go up the street to the Granada Hills location. Staff here is also very friendly. They tend to only be at the register and aren't wandering around the store a ton, but I've also never really needed help finding things as the store is very well laid out and intuitive. Prices are fine. Nothing amazing, but they're better priced than other big box sporting good store chains so, once again, this is always our first stop for gear for our 3 growing kids & their youth sports gear. If you give them your email you'll get a weekly email with some good deals that often are catered to whatever sport season is about to start as well which I greatly appreciate. If not, chances are you'll get a coupon in the mail for 20% off or $5 off a purchase of $20 or more. So always keep an eye out for one of those if you know you are going to need to buy anything.

I was quickly directed to go towards the right corner with the glass counter. She walkied to get assistance from another staff, and the next lady showed up and immediately knew which type of the product I needed was best for my needs!! She was super friendly and helpful and also answered the questions we asked. I really appreciate her showing how to use it too. The prices over here at Big 5 and their products are always well worth it in my opinion. I really appreciate the lady behind the counter and the cashier Beth for also assisting me!! This shop had me go in and out quickly with the product I needed!! I reccommend this spot for when you're in a pinch for any supplies!!

From the second we walked in, I was really surprised as how much they had inventory wise. They definitely had a little something for everyone. From jerseys to artwork to cards of all interests. They've got you covered. I haven't collected cards since maybe the early 90s so I don't know if the prices are good, but they seemed like they were on par with what you would be paying these days. Staff was...ok. It took awhile for one of the employees to acknowledge my sons who were patiently waiting to be helped. Instead they were focused on a group of of about 3 other people just chatting away about something or another. When they finally did address us, they seemed a bit confused by the vouchers, but eventually went in the back and brought out some 'pull night' packs for baseball and a few extra NBA cards for good measure. I appreciated that they gave out a little extra to some very appreciative kids. Parking is really the only major drawback. It's a small lot and there's only really one in and out. Be prepared to either wait a bit for a spot or finding street parking and walking.
