This place has really gone down hill. They do not offer the amenities that they had when they first opened and the people they have working there are not the calibre of people they had when they first opened. In fact, yesterday was my final visit to this place since I got the worst pedicure I have ever had! The tech was named Jimah I believe. She did not tell me the water was scalding hot until I put my feet in it! She didn't ask me what kind of pedicure I wanted until she was halfway through and by that time, I had decided that I wanted as little to do with her as possible so I said I would just do a regular pedicure. She rushed through the whole thing, she was rough and the whole experience was very uncomfortable to the point where I said to her "that hurts!" and pulled my foot away from her multiple times. Her reaction was to roll her eyes. She never said thank you or anything for that matter - totally unfriendly. All in all what should have been a relaxing and comfortable experience was anything but. I will look for another salon and hope you do too. read more

I have found my nail salon!!! Omgosh! It was definitely worth of a drive(25 min) My friend had recommended me to this salon so I decided to take my mom and my two daughters here. I am so glad I did! The minute we walked in we was greeted with friendly staff and the nail shop was super clean! We were satisfied with the service we all received. We all did gel pedicure and SNS/Gel manicure and it was a well job done! I had Brian that did my SNS and he was experienced and he took his time to make sure that the job was done right. I had Sarah for pedicure, the woman put me to sleep with her magic hands! Hehe I will definitely be back along w my two daughters. read more

I will admit, the first time I went to this salon I went an hour before closing, they didn't seem busy, but told me they couldn't do a pedicure. I was a little upset, but decided to come give it another chance and I AM SO GLAD I DID!! This is the best nail salon I have ever been to, and trust me, I have tried out some salons. They are all so kind and professional. The place is clean and relaxing. My husband and I always get the milk and honey pedicure and it is a dream! I now understand why they don't take walk-ins right before closing, because they do a wonderful almost hour-long pedicure and massage and they don't want to half-ass their work. I have also gotten gel and SNS manicures from them and the do a phenomenal job. We have been going here for about 3 years now and I have told my husband I will never go to another salon because I am always disappointed in some way. Big Apple Nail is the BEST!!! read more

See Katie for the most AMAZING EYELASH extensions around! I had my eyelashes done by a different salon a couple of days before Thanksgiving. I did not like how they turned out - very long and thick and unnatural looking. The very next day, on a friend's recommendation, I booked an appointment with Katie to have a full set of eyelash extensions done again. The nails were not good enough for the absolute horrible attitude the technicians had. Went with my friend to her 4 o'clock appointment. When they started on her nails, she was asking questions because some of the terms they used, she didn't understand. Meanwhile, they're laughing in her face and giving her a ridiculous attitude. After we FINALLY got the info we had been asking about, the woman stopped what she was doing and said she couldn't do it and that she would have to wait again for someone else to come over and do a fill in. A freakin fill in. I guess this place is good if you need something done last minute, but I seriously don't recommend it. read more

I had been going to this salon since it opened and used to rave about it. I came in today with a friend and was treated very rudely because we didn't call ahead to make an appointment. I understand that we were walk ins, but you don't have to treat people rudely or have a snarky attitude. We were not greeted, the lady at the counter seemed very annoyed and said we should have called, and that MAYBE they could work us in in an hour. They didn't appear to be super busy. We left and will not be returning. It a shame because they do a great job. We went to a Canton Nail Care Hair and Spa (up the street) and had great service. read more

Horrible! Went in to have my old SNS hybrids soaked off and came out with still some product on and my nail beds hurting. My cuticles were red and extremely tender. The lady soaked and filed until I nearly have zero nails left. I kept saying it hurt and she was filing too much but she could t understand a word I was saying so finally after pulling my hand away someone else came over to help. She was shocked and said to stop he service! That's how you know it's bad! Now I have to wait a few weeks to let my nails heal before getting any services and NEVER HERE! read more

I walked in an hour and 7 mins (6:23) before closing (7:30) and asked for a fill in. I was told they didn't have time. As I looked around there were 3 ladies getting pedicures and 1 of them having her nails done also. There were at least 7 employees around. I understand that not everyone is trained to do the same thing but I still was very aggravated. I have a normal salon I have been going to for years and have never seen anyone turned away. The only reason I came here is I was given a $50 gift card from my son's team. I will not be using the gift card, as I feel this was very unprofessional especially since there was more than an hour before closing. I work in retail/customer service, and have for 14 years, I would be appalled if a customer ever told me this happened to them at my store. I was also shocked to read that this has happened to others who have came to this salon! read more

I would not recommend going here. This place is extremely overpriced for an half ass work. The ladies that were taking care of my mother and my nails were very lazy. When asked for our desired nail length she completely ignored my request and cut my nails shorter than I wanted because she "didn't wanna deal with the filing or the dust". This is the second time I've been here, I figured I'd give them a second chance. I've been to places where the massage portion of the pedicure was a lot better. The girl actually set a kitchen timer , it was rushed, I felt like they couldn't wait to get me out of there. They are not very friendly, and it felt like they wanted me in and out. When I go get a pedicure I look forward to relaxing and the massage part to relieve my sore feet. It was not relaxing and I will not be returning. I will continue to go to my regular place where I won't feel rushed. If you're in a hurry then this is the place for you. read more

I have been going to Big Apple for the past 3 years. It's conveniently located near my home. However, after my last two visits I will most definitely NOT be returning. My last experience was early May, right before my WEDDING on May 9th. I had scheduled for a eye brow wax a week before the wedding, then a mani/pedi appt the day of for all my girls including my mom, sister, grandmother, stepdaughter, and myself. First of all, the woman who waxed my eyebrows obviously didn't know what she was doing. I told her to keep them natural looking-- that I was getting married in a week. She almost COMPLETELY waxed my entire left eyebrow off. I actually cried in agony when she did it. I looked in the mirror and burst into tears. There was maybe a pencil thin line left. I had to go back the next day to have the manager attempt at "eyebrow extensions". Needless to say, my wedding photos looked fine from far away. To add, it was too late to get another appointment for our mani/pedi's, so we kept the appt. The manager had told me that there would be a discount on the nails due to the eyebrow trouble. There was no such discount and we waited there for hours. We almost had to leave because we would've been late to the ceremony. My mother actually sat in a pedi chair as the water went cool for almost two hours!! DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! IT'S TERRIBLE!!! read more

My husband and I went in for pedicures today, wanted to try something new for our date night. We had a wonderful experience! We called ahead to see if an appointment was needed and they said no, walk-ins are welcome. Shortly after we arrived they got pretty busy, so I'd definitely call ahead. It's a very clean and well decorated shop. Regular pedicure is $27, we opted for the "milk & honey" pedicure for $35 and it was worth every penny for the sugar scrub and oil with hot stone massage. It was my hubby's first pedicure and he was hesitant at first but his tech, Rachel, quickly put him at ease. Kevin did a fantastic job with my pedi and massage.
