Garden Fresh Veggie Scramble, added a side of "Moon Dusted" Potatoes and Beyond Vegan Sausage
    Rikesha F.

We had first eaten from a location in Atlanta via DoorDash but had yet to try this location out in person. We ate here one fine Sunday morning. It was packed and there was a wait. After being seated, I noticed how colorful and whimsical the decor was. But because it was so crowded, I didn't get a lot of pictures. I ordered the garden veggie scramble with the moon dusted potatoes and a side of beyond sausage. My guy ordered the waffle breakfast. The food was just as delicious as we remembered it to be. The star is always those creamy grits. I'm not sure how they make them, but I wish they would tell me their secret. The biscuits are always light and fluffy, and with the apple butter that comes with it, it's a match made in heaven. Pro Tip: I've ordered food from here courtesy of DoorDash but it's always been a disaster. The order was always missing random items or I received the wrong order. I do not recommend ordering through a 3rd party; go in person if at all possible.

The flying biscuit Café is never a letdown no matter what part of the country you go to. This experience at this location has always been great and immaculate. The service is always on point and it's a great brunch spot for the family and friends and coworkers. The waitress is always fast and sometimes this gym is not so hidden and everybody knows about it so try to get there early and or wait for a table more so in the morning. This location is a 10 out of 10.

Shae was our waitress and she was outstanding! She made us feel welcomed, and she was attentive. Shae is a huge asset to this location. Our food came in a timely manner, was as ordered, and was great! The chicken sausage gravy and biscuit were perfect. Bacon was fried crispy, just the way we like it. Their creamy dreamy grits were on point.

Mini Shrimp & Grits with eggs, a biscuit, and a pineapple mimosa

The Flying Biscuit is always a hit! Visited on a Saturday so I knew they would be busy, but lucked up since there were available seats at the bar. I was immediately greeted by the nice bartenders and decided to order the mini shrimp and grits, which came with a biscuit and I added a side of scrambled eggs. The dish was very delicious! The grits were super creamy and tasty. The spicy sauce with diced tomatoes really 'made' this dish and added an extra layer of flavor. The blackened shrimp was like a 'cherry on top.' The scrambled eggs were delicious as well. All in all, another great visit to the Flying Biscuit Cafe!!

Never knew this place existed until a friend invited me for lunch. I have been to the Shops in the Colonnade a few times, but if you're not in the same "section", you would miss them and that's exactly what happened to me. I've always been on the "Edgars" side and I never "saw" them. Started in 1993 in Georgia, now they have 34 franchised locations throughout Georgia, North Carolina, Florida and Texas. I love the look of the FBC. The painted murals on their wall (featuring Birmingham) is stunning and eye-catching! Applause for the creator! I'm not sure if they have seating outside, but inside there's roomy seating with high ceilings and ceiling fans. Open for breakfast and late lunch, we were seated quickly and drink orders taken. With their extensive menu selection, they could easily open for dinner in my opinion. Don't let them fool you into thinking they're just a breakfast place. In addition to their awesome "breakfast" items, they also have plenty of lunch items like chicken tender concoctions and burger specials. You gotta go online or look at my pics of their menu to see just how many different delicious options to choose from. I finally decided on the Dirty Bird. The large home made waffle was cooked perfectly. On top of it were crispy buttermilk fried chicken tenders. On top of those were two over medium eggs and on top of them was a slather of their famous chicken sausage gravy. Yom Yom Yom Yom! I couldn't finish it and gladly took the rest home. The tenders were juicy. The little bit of yolk was just enough to compliment that delicious chicken sausage gravy! Outstanding! Service was also great with my water glass never being empty. I will be returning to try one of their other 30 plus items on their menu!

Swung by for a quick breakfast. Shelby had very good customer service. Plenty of seating and food was pretty good. I ordered the dirty bird. The gravy was very good and I couldn't tell if the tenders were freshly made or frozen. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Everything came together.

Outdoor seating, service is fast and the food is delicious! Everything is flying with the restaurant decor and makes it so fun. We had the make your own grits bowl and it was fantastic!! I had shrimp, white cheddar, spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms. It was delicious and full of flavor, very pleasing to the palate. The chicken chorizo tacos were the perfect size and hearty. They too had great flavor and you top it off with some of the yummy potatoes. We will be back to this great spit!

What a good brunch! We tried this place, as we are passing through and knew we are getting one. Hubs had a smoked salmon scrambler with a dill cream cheese, and a side of potatoes. He added a biscuit with cranberry apple butter and hollandaise on the side. One negative the hollandaise was not good. Had he ordered the Benedict I would have had a different rating. As it is an add on, we are writing it off. The hot dirty bird chicken and waffles hit. I did ask for the hot sauce to be ok the side so I could control how hot, and the egg, I was skeptical about chicken sausage gravy, so I sampled it before. Wow. It is the best chicken sausage gravy I have ever had. I almost ordered differently because of the past ones I have had before. The building decor is great. Our server, Jacquie was phenomenal. If we had a restraint nearby we would offer her more money to leave and join our establishment. Good meal.

Great food, best ambiance and service! Loved the omelet and wife had the oatmeal. Coffee was great. Atmosphere was killer good. People very friendly. Prices a little high compared to Edgars around the corner.

There was a bit of a wait before my order was taken, but honestly, it worked out in my favor because it gave me plenty of time to look over the menu. There were so many tempting options that it was honestly hard to decide! I ultimately chose three items and enjoyed a few bites of each. Ham & Fontina Scone: This was my first time trying a scone, and I was pleasantly surprised. The texture reminded me of a dry biscuit, but the ham added a delicious savory flavor that I really enjoyed. Frittata Plate: The frittata was SO good! It wasn't too dry, and all of the flavors worked really well together. It was served with polenta, which reminded me of really fine grits, along with fruit. After trying it, I realized that one entrée would definitely be enough for me to enjoy on its own. Breakfast 'ZA: This was essentially a breakfast pizza topped with a fried egg, and the egg was such a nice touch. The 'ZA itself was really good, although I think adding something similar to a gravy or sauce would make it a little less dry. Even without it, though, the fried egg really took it to another level. Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso: I decided to try the Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, which was the barista's pick. This was my first time having a shaken espresso, and I'm so glad I gave it a try! It was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. The inside of Trattoria ZaZa is nice, although it is somewhat small, so I opted to sit outside. It was a very warm day, but the awning provided plenty of shade and made the outdoor seating comfortable. I also appreciated that, even though the restaurant doesn't have traditional table service, someone periodically checked on me to make sure I didn't need anything else. Overall, I had a great brunch experience at Trattoria ZaZa. There were plenty of menu options, the food was flavorful, and I really enjoyed trying a few things that were new to me. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying more of the menu!

But I'm sorry the food? (In my case shrimp and grits) was NOT GOOD. And don't get me wrong, it wasn't a horrible flavor, but the flavors it did have were terrible. First the grits are not smooth at all. Like they aren't super course but they definitely could have been cooked down more. And they had little seasoning. And that's being generous. Then the "creole" sauce on top? Can we ask the audience what they consider creole? Because that was just pure tomato sauce. Like straight out a can, had to be. No way someone cooked that sauce from scratch or even with creole seasonings or typical additives I'm sorry I just refuse to believe it. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST... 5 shrimp??? You can't be serious. I could understand 5 shrimp if they're the huge jumbo ones but these are smedium at best. Like I feel BAMBOOZLED because no way I paid 24$ for 5 shrimp and maybe 1.5 cups of grits. But imma be honest I'm not surprised the food wasn't that good. Any place that puts on the bottom "we can't refund for food you don't like" that should tell you everything you need to know.
