Love, love, loved it! This was our first time at a Huddle House and we've got no complaints. It's a chain-diner and the food's what you'd expect but with a little extra love and a cool staff to go with it. Kristy was a peach! Get the Huddle Up Sampler (fried dill pickles and stuffed jalapeños are bomb!) and the Stuffed Hash browns (the peppery sausage gravy really makes this special) to get a feel for what their food's about. We shall return.

‍ I mean!!! At least try! I'm almost positive these pancakes come frozen that's why the pecans are just thrown on top in the box.

I was a little hesitant since we were in a new town and everything was packed, but this place totally delivered. The omelet was fluffy and packed with flavor, and the French toast... well, I wasn't expecting it to be deep fried but holy cow it worked. Crispy on the outside, soft and sweet inside, and absolutely addictive. The service was quick and friendly even with the festival crowds, and the vibe inside is fun and casual exactly what you want for breakfast. Portions are generous too, so we left stuffed and happy. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. We even walked over to the Lodge Museum afterward and made a whole morning out of it.

It was a random weekday morning, so it was really quiet. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. It's a casual place, with lots of tv's. I had a hard time choosing between the Yard Work Skillet and the Cornbread Omelet, but I figured where else would I find a cornbread omelet? It was SO yummy. I got the bacon on the side because I don't eat it, but there was a lovely amount of veggies and just the right amount of cheese. The cornbread eggs had such an interesting flavor. I got the cheese grits on the side which were a little spicy and deliciously creamy. My gf got a breakfast plate and thought it was good. The crispy hash cake was ok but a little dense. I ended up eating her biscuit the next day and it was really good.

First and foremost, I want to like Stevarino's I do want to spend money in my chosen hometown, but…read moreit's often difficult. We waited to give Stevarino's a second opportunity. Because the last one did not go well either. Even accounting for the slower life we are pursuing in our retirement community of choice, we don't have one hour and four minutes to wait on a pizza. Or 54 minutes to wait on a simple spaghetti and meatballs. Or seven minutes standing at the front desk with no one coming by to see you at the "please wait to be seated" podium. I'm older now, I don't have that kind of time to waste. The food was "OK". The spaghetti and meatballs (substituted sausage, maybe this required a trip to Italy") was lukewarm. It tasted OK. My pizza was basically loose and drippy in the center. Not from cheese, from being poorly cooked. Again, there was nothing special about the taste. Lastly, I had to send the first pizza serving tray back to be cleaned. I don't know if it's too little staff, too little caring, too little organization, too little training. It all adds up to a memorable experience for the wrong reasons. It is a very nice place when it comes to decor and such. Even a nice big lighted Christmas display for folks to use as a photo backdrop. Hopefully the ownership will take this review to heart and not blame it on "being too busy" (that sure wasn't the case" or "fussy clientele". It sure wasn't that either.

On my…read moretravels, I've stopped at many Waffle Houses located near highway exits including this Waffle House in Jasper, which is very popular with the truckers and travelers alike and offers good not fancy food at reasonable prices. The Texas Bacon Melts served with hash browns and the Buttermilk Waffles with butter & lots of syrup are pretty tasty! Currently in 2015, they offer Fifteen Meals For $5 Each (includes beverage), which is a pretty good deal on the wallet including 8 Breakfast and 7 Lunch/Dinner choices. While driving along I-24 heading from Chattanooga to Nashville, I stopped off at Exit 152 and pulled into Waffle House for lunch. I sat myself at the counter and the waitress with a charming Southern accent gave me a regular laminated menu and took my drink order. I asked for a Diet Coke and requested the Fifteen Meals For $5 Each Menu. For lunch, I decided on Grilled Cheese, Regular Bert's Chili and a Diet Coke for $5 plus tax. The food came out quickly served hot. The Grilled Cheese Sandwich was basic and good, the bread was buttered and grilled nicely on the outside with melted orange American cheese inside, cut into 2 triangles. The bowl of chili was hearty which had plenty of ground beef and beans, slightly on the salty side. Saltine crackers, dill pickle slices and mayo served on the side. The service here was very friendly and efficient. I was given refills on the ice cold Diet Coke and the waitress even offered me a to go cup filled with ice cold Diet Coke, which was a "nice gesture custom" (of Southern hospitality) unheard of back where I live in New England. I usually top off my own fountain soda cups at fast food restaurants. I definitely needed the ice cold Diet Coke for my drive to Nashville in the 88 degree summer heat.
