It's a cool bar. That's all really.... I mean I guess it is sort of historic for the area and the view from this place is very hard to beat. My wife loves it here and wants to come here every time we get within a hundred miles of the place. In fact, she will just say, let's go to the beach right now. I personally don't see the draw. I think that it stems from childhood memories from coming down here with her Mom and living it up as a child of a seriously bi-polar Mom. They would just leave for the beach midweek for no reason and sleep in the car. Ahh, the memories! I don't have those kind of memories, as my childhood abuse was of a different nature. Anyway back to the bar. It's more bar food scene, than a seafood scene. They have mostly things you would find in a place far from shore, but they do have oysters, shrimps, and things of that nature. The nachos are big and gross. I do like the fried alligator bites that we get each time we are there. They are really pretty tasty little boogers. The beer is cold, the drinks are tasty and the servers take pretty good care of you when you are nice to them. They have an extensive frozen drink menu. I am sure I will be back for some C nostalgia and some gator bites. Hope she doesn't read this as I act like I love it, LOL. I'm like hell yes!!! The view at sunset alone is worth the stop. Peace, love, and gulf shores!!! '26 - 49

Came for the drinks and the Key Lime Colada did not disappoint! The service was great even though it was very crowded. Great views and good vibes all around.

Let say that I've been on the beach all day! This shrimp Poboy and fries hit the spot. The staff is friendly and the food comes out fast....given is this bar food it was on point. We sat outside and birds were not a problem....this is great place to stop for a quick beach lunch!!!

We arrived at 9:12 and asked to put our name on the list for an outdoor table for two people. The hostess took our phone number and said she wasn't sure how long the wait would be. After an hour passed we walked back inside to check on our table. The hostess said "I don't know what's going on with your phone I've been calling and calling." I have had no missed calls, and I verified my phone was receiving calls, and I verified the phone number she wrote down was correct. She had seated six tables that walked in after us, four of them outside and all larger parties than 2.

Went in and ordered a salad and a platter. After an hour, the waiter said "your order will be out soon". Ok. I said "I've been here for an hour and cancel the salad because we are about to walk out of here. "I'll go get my boss to talk to you"- not. Then I turn around and the party of 10 had the man complaining they ordered and "they forgot about the girl's hamburger ". Aside from them being assured, they waited over an hour for that $20 hamburger. ANY SERVER ANYWHERE will tell you it is unacceptable and unprofessional. The band took 2 hours to set up. Such horrible service, they "don't need" your money. They will take it, but not deliver.

Concert is over, now my honey & I are doing our own after party :-)

This is hands down one of my favorite spots right on the beach in Gulf Shores. We come here for the awesome view, but honestly, we also come for our regular server, Kevin. He is a terrific guy and really takes care of us every time we visit. The place itself has been sitting on this same patch of sand since the 50s. It takes a beating whenever the weather gets rough, but the concrete construction holds up. I was impressed by how fast they bounced back after Hurricane Sally. They had the repairs done and the steps to the beach fixed in just a few weeks. Inside, do not expect fine dining. It is very casual with plastic chairs and some hearty, rusty picnic tables outside. It fits the vibe perfectly. As for the food, a lot of people overlook this place for lunch or dinner, but they are missing out. The salads are good and the burger isn't bad, but a few items are absolutely not to be missed. The gator bites are delicious. They are fresh and golden brown with a kickin' tiger sauce. You also have to try the Cajun nachos. It is a giant platter loaded with cheese, crawfish, and shrimp in a rich mushroom sauce. My absolute favorite, though, is the Shrimp and Crab Spaghetti. It is crazy good. It comes with Gulf shrimp and jumbo lump crabmeat in a garlic parmesan cream sauce. I always get it with the works, including jalapeños and onions. It is easily enough food for two people. Verdict: If you want a view and some surprisingly great food, stop here. It's unpretentious, the service is friendly, and you can stick around for karaoke if you want.

We will start the way anyone does when going to an establishment. Outside is cool, wife and kids got to take a picture walking up. Then we got to the hostess and this is where it fell apart. She seemed to be doing quadratic equations while sitting tables. Then ignored us for 5-10 minutes, when we were finally acknowledged I let her know there were 4 of us and we would prefer outside. She proceeded to tell us she didn't think there were any tables we could sit out there at. (We could clearly see there were many open spots.) I'm not sure if she thought it was funny, but she didn't appear to know how to calm the facial expressions to portray that. Finally she sat us... outside.... At one of the empty tables. Then we sat there with no menus. After about 5 minutes she brought some to us. Let's just say that this was the worst part of the experience. The owner should truly look at moving her to the back or the position of her employment. After that- it was amazing. The view was beautiful. It's right on the beach. The food was ok. The craw claws are worth getting and splitting. The drinks were awesome. Our waitress made up for the horrible entry experience. She was delightful and joked and smiled. Gotta knock the stars down though since the entry experience was so horrid. Owner, if you're reading this.... Really. Please. Check your hostess's. Give them a good program to seat tables. It's not a math class, and it's truly not difficult. I've done it many times before.

We came in for drinks and seafood for a bachelorette party this weekend. The drinks were delicious, and I thought the live music was cool, but the service was pretty slow and the seafood was just barely average. I would definitely come again for the drinks and vibes!

I've reviewed this place in the past and it's always good. The chicken nachos were delicious and such a huge portion, definitely more than two people could finish. The service was good once, although when we first got there it seemed like they were having some confusion getting the servers assigned. We sat for a little while before someone came to ask if we had been served. After that the service was great, it just seemed like it was busy and we got lost in the shuffle at first. I did have two issues on my last visit. The first is that they had live music. That's not an issue but it was SO loud. The inside is like 1,000 square feet, but they had it amplified like they were trying to fill Madison Square Garden. It was painful, so we sat outside, and that was the second issue. There are very few lights outside, and once the sun went down it was almost impossible to see. My table, and all of the tables around us were using cell phone lights to see the food. Turn down the live music and add some light!!!

Small restaurant but very fun! Nice staff. Relatively quick service (in and out in about an hour). We got an app, a couple drinks, and two meals. Burger was tastey as was the po'boy that my husband got. Wish Chappell roan was there but no affiliation to the great singer

Loveeeee this spot! Right on the beach, great view. Staff was super friendly! Food came out in a decent time and was delicious. You do have to pay to park there and it wouldn't let me select any time lower than 4 hours. The only issue is their tshirts. They run out very quickly. I wish they kept more on site. We weren't able to get any.

    Drinks, which weren't too bad.

My fiancée and I both got the pick two seafood combo that shows as Market Price on the menu. It ended up being 27.56 each even though we had different protein choices. I had the fried oysters and fish and she had the fried shrimp and fish. Odd that the market price is the same for both. Even odder is that our friend got the plate that comes with ALL of the fried seafood options, including fish, shrimp, oysters, and a stuffed crab, and it was .06 cheaper. Not sure how that math added up. Otherwise, the taste was fine but the fried oysters were very mushy. We also had boiled shrimp to start and most were fine but none were deveined and a few were mushy as well. The best food we had was our friends crab and cheese bites which were, admittedly by the waitress, distributor supplied frozen and fried, not made in house, but were by far the highlight. Not sure what that says about the experience. The drinks were also a little in the pricey side for the amount t of alcohol and quality. We ended up spending $100 plus tip for one mixed drink, the two entrees, the boiled shrimp appetizer, and a soda. This was by far the most expensive meal we had on our trip, coming at $30 more than the equivalent at two other restaurants that were arguably a nicer setting. The place was a bit run down with a lot of trash on the floor and the hostess had to bus the table before we sat down. For $50 this would've been a 3.5 star review but at $100 for two people, 2 stars all day.
