Cool little outdoor bar in a shopping center compound. Has a decent selection of tropical liquor drinks, beer and wine. Several restaurants are also nearby along with a marina and tennis courts.

    Overlooking the marina!

It's closed. This used to be at the wharf. We searched for a bit and finally asked another bar.

The people are nice. The atmosphere was inviting. The music was good and the drinks were cold and inexpensive.

It was a fun place to chill, listen to music and have a drink. Try the Vegas Bomb! Margaritas were good too!

Fun atmosphere especially for a Monday night. Delicious Bushwackers. The bartender was friendly. Great music. We had such a good time!

At one point the staff broke out into a huge dance party right in the middle of the restaurant, getting kids, parents, and even a few reluctant dads standing on their chairs and joining the fun. It was one of those moments where you couldn't help but smile. Outside there's something for everyone--yard games, a foam party for the kids, bungee-style trampolines, beach access, and plenty of places to hang out (pun absolutely intended). I can only imagine how much fun this place is at night with live music. The nachos were piled ridiculously high and disappeared much faster than they should have. Service was upbeat, attentive, and clearly focused on making sure everyone was having a good time. Don't skip the gift shop either. We left with a couple of super cute T-shirts and can koozies to remember the trip. The Hangout isn't just somewhere to eat--it's somewhere to make vacation memories. I'd happily come back.

The wait time went by quickly with browsing the gift shop, grabbing a drink at the bar and people watching. We had Lisa as a server who was fantastic. We were celebrating my mom's 80th birthday and she even brought her a birthday brownie! There was a really good band playing. We had fried green tomatoes that were delicious. I ordered shrimp tacos that were filling and great. I had a couple jet ski killers that were so tasty. We all got henna tattoos and that was a waste of money but still fun You just need to go here- you won't be disappointed!

Type of Food: Scratch-made coastal Southern cuisine, fresh Gulf seafood (shrimp, oysters, fish, and crab claws), gumbo, po'boys, burgers, and tropical cocktails. Review: This was an excellent visit from start to finish. Going during an off-time on a weekday was a great move because we walked right in with absolutely no wait. The service was top-notch, with our glasses never staying empty thanks to plentiful refills--and their great iced tea was a major plus. We split a massive fried seafood platter that came with a ton of food and a surprisingly generous portion of crab claws. Sharing one of their alcohol bucket drinks was a fun highlight, and you simply cannot beat eating great food with that view and the gulf breeze. I also really loved checking out the gift shop located right next to the restaurant. Cons: Nothing bad to say about this visit! (Everything from the zero wait time to the food, drinks, and service was fantastic.) Thumbs up / Thumbs down: Thumbs up (We would absolutely go back!)

We were seated on the corner of the patio, which provided a beautiful view and a relaxing atmosphere. Several other guests warned us about aggressive seagulls, but thankfully they weren't an issue during our visit. To start, we ordered the buffalo dip. It was tasty and well-prepared, though it was fairly simple and something that could easily be recreated at home. For my entrée, I ordered the sourdough burger without onions and added bacon. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. My husband went with the Double Pony Burger, which was absolutely massive. He thoroughly enjoyed it and had no complaints. I also tried the Seven-Headed Dragon cocktail, which is similar to a Long Island Iced Tea. It was delicious, packed a serious punch, and is definitely not a drink to underestimate! Our server was friendly and pleasant, although there were a few times when he seemed to disappear for a while, and our food took a bit longer to arrive than we expected. Even so, the atmosphere helped make up for the wait. As we were finishing up, they were getting ready to start karaoke, which looked like it would be a lot of fun and added to the lively beach-town vibe. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, the waterfront setting, and the laid-back atmosphere. While service could have been a little more attentive, I would absolutely come back for a cocktail, an appetizer, and to enjoy the view again.

We sat down and waited about 15 minutes without anyone coming over to take our drink order. Eventually, we had to flag someone down and politely ask, "Hey, do you know if anyone is going to come take our drink order?" The guy we spoke to seemed genuinely irritated that we even asked. What made it even more frustrating was that two tables who were seated after us had their drink orders taken and their food brought out before anyone even came over to us. When our waiter finally did come to the table, he acted like we were inconveniencing him simply by being there. I completely understand that restaurants get busy and things happen, but that wasn't the case here. The food was good, but the service and attitude made the experience one I probably wouldn't repeat. Good food, but unfortunately the service needs some serious improvement. The vibe of this place is outstanding, I mean you are eating literally on the beach!

But it is amazing what $1 mimosas and $3 Bloody Marys can cure. There was very nice duo playing light '70s rock - very good overall. The mimosas and Bloody Mary were good and service spot on. We started with a cocktail and the spicy blue crab dip, both of which were excellent and a great way to begin the meal. We also ordered the meat and cheese board, which was decent but felt fairly basic for the price. The cheese and jalapeño focaccia was flavorful and enjoyable as well. For the main course, I ordered the New York strip with crab cakes. The steak was cooked properly but lacked seasoning and flavor, requiring quite a bit of salt. The crab cakes were also underwhelming and not something I would order again. My stepson ordered the kids' Alfredo, which tasted more like plain macaroni and ended up being so bland that he barely ate it. My husband had the bacon BBQ shrimp and enjoyed it, although I found it a little too sweet for my taste. Considering the overall quality of the food, the meal did not feel worth the price we paid. That said, our server was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has a fun atmosphere. They also offer live music on certain nights, which adds to the experience. Overall, while there were a few highlights, the food didn't quite live up to our expectations.
